I’m DJ Mike Readings, a multi-award-winning professional and experienced wedding DJ & MC who has been entertaining new couples and their guests in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire for over 10 years.

My passion is helping couples like you create the ultimate playlist for your perfect wedding, leaving your guests well and truly wow’d!

I firmly believe that excellent wedding entertainment is an essential component of every wedding and something that will make your special day be remembered for a lifetime. Whether you want current tracks, club classics, or maybe something a little different, I will help you create and customise the perfect playlist for your big day.

I’ll then work overtime to not only get people dancing, but ensure everyone parties like never before and has the time of their lives.

Not really sure what music you want? Leave everything to me, and I’ll draw on my years of experience to deliver a party atmosphere that will be remembered by all. Even if you’ve got a bunch of tunes you’d like to hear but not enough to fill an entire playlist, I’ll do the rest.

This will be covered in 2 face to face meetings comprising one introductory get together before you book and then a further meeting approximately 4 weeks before your big day to finalise your requests

What's your experience?

I’ve had a passion for music and entertaining all my life. In the year 2005, I finally turned that love into a career as a Professional DJ. Then, in 2008, I turned my focus to becoming a Wedding DJ

I emcee and DJ during the day, typically starting from 1pm looking after the ceremony music

Around an hour to set up and soundcheck to ensure everything is perfect, you won’t even know I’m there

Best DJ out there!

From our initial chat to the wedding day, Mike was amazing! Every bit of wedding planning anxiety was taken away, as from the get-go we knew our wedding day was in capable hands! Mike was with us the entire day, which made everything run super smoothly! All of our guests spoke praises for Mike, and thought he was fantastic! I highly highly highly recommend Mike for any future weddings

Absolutely amazing!

Mike was absolutely amazing! From the moment I contacted Mike regarding our wedding, all the way through to the day and after, he went the extra mile. He is so knowledgeable, puts you at ease and makes planning your wedding so easy. We originally only booked Mike for the evening but as we got to know him, we knew we needed him for the the whole day, we had so many fabulous comments from our guests about how brilliant he was. He knew our venue inside out and was helpful with so many aspects of our wedding. I would recommend to everyone to have Mike at their wedding, he will make your day better than you can imagine!

The best DJ in his field

If there is one thing you can do right on your wedding day it’s to book Mike as your wedding DJ. Without a doubt the best decision we made. The whole day run smoothly thanks to Mikes help. He not only played incredible music, he helped gather guests for our group photo, coordinated our guests to give us a fantastic welcome into our wedding breakfast and first dance and helped the speeches run smoothly. Everyone had a great time dancing along to our playlists and Mike gave brilliant recommendations on what songs worked at different times of the day. He really does knows his stuff! He was so easy to work with and made our Wedding the best day ever.

Best party ever

Book Mike.

From start to finish our experience with Mike was absolutely exceptional, everything we could have wanted, we felt cared for, and in control from day 1. From our first call, he asked us all the right questions and already had a really clear vibe for what our day was going to look like, we left that call with only one thing in our mind… book Mike NOW before he is no longer available. Whilst an incredible DJ, Mike is so much more than that, as our MC he helped coordinate our photos, calm the groom from running around like a headless chicken, and organised games at the meal that got everyone buzzing for the evening party. Mike, thank you for making our special day even more special, our guests won’t stop raving about how much of a blast they had and we couldn’t have done it without you. An truly amazing wedding MC and DJ

Mike really helped make our wedding extra special. He looked after the whole day from the wedding ceremony music and support of our singer, through to MC'ing the wedding breakfast and speeches, along with some Mr and Mrs games which got the guests going.
Mike then DJ'ed the evening to a packed dance floor.
The suggested extras of glow sticks and sunglasses made the evening.
We also opted to hire the selfie station from Mike which was also a big hit with our guest allowing them to have instant selfies and allowing us to have a copy of all the images after the day.
It is clear to see why Mike has won so many awards, he is very good at what he does, he cares about the service he provides and is always willing to help.
Highly recommended us and all of our guests!!!

Best Decision!

We booked Mike for our wedding after seeing him DJ at another wedding we attended and he certainly did not disappoint! Throughout the whole booking process and up until the last minute of our wedding, Mike was absolutely incredible and listened to our wants and needs for the evening (whilst also giving great advice and insight) and executed these perfectly! People were up and dancing all night and the music was exactly what we wanted it to be! Mike can read the room so well and knows how to keep the party going! We couldn't recommend him more! Thank you Mike!

Just Amazing

Mike had previously DJ’d for us at our daughters Holy Communion so I knew he was brilliant but honestly I couldn’t recommend him enough. He went above and beyond to ensure our wedding day went smoothly.
All our guests commented on how awesome he was, organising the guests and running the music all day and WOW what a party he created in the evening.

The best wedding dj and master of ceremony we could have ever hoped for!

Wow!! Where do we begin… THE BEST WEDDING DJ AND MASTER OF CEREMONY WE COULD HAVE EVER HOPED FOR! Mike managed to calm our nerves before they even began, he ensured the running of the whole day went as planned and we didn’t need to think about a thing other than enjoying the day!
We got so many compliments on how amazing he was and honestly we agree, from the music, to the running of the day and the games he played we honestly couldn’t recommend him enough!
We didn’t not only gain an amazing vendor we gained an extra member of the family that day and we hope that we will be able to see you again!

An outstanding wedding DJ and Master of Ceremonies

We booked Mike on the recommendation of our venue and it was one of the best decisions of our entire wedding! He acted as our master of ceremonies and wedding DJ and was excellent in both capacities. From the start of the experience, everything was really organised and well managed. He immediately understood what we wanted from the music at our wedding and gave us an indication at our initial meeting of how he would see the night going – it showed how in turn he is with every couple he works with and really helped make our decision to go with him. The app which he uses to plan the vent is a fantastic idea. It meant we could keep on top of all of the arrangements for the day and change them as and when we came across new ideas, while also allowing us to change our all important evening playlist as and when we needed to! DJ Mike also offers a photo booth which was very reasonably priced and seemed to keep a lot of our guests occupied during the day, so that is one thing less for couples to think of on their day. As Master of Ceremonies, he was a calming influence for us both and everything ran very smoothly. The biggest compliment I can give him as a DJ is that the dance floor was not empty once during the entire evening and he did an exceptional job of reading the room to keep people up and dancing. I cannot recommend DJ Mike highly enough and he is more than deserving of his numerous accolades!

Amazing DJ

Mike was our DJ and MC for our wedding back in July and we couldn’t have asked for anyone/anything better. We planned our uk wedding from our home in Australia, Mike was easy to reach via email and text, we had zoom calls and he was easily available once in the country to meet up before the wedding for our last meeting. He gave us so much advice and took anything we suggested and found a way to make that work the best for us all. Everyone loved him on the day and commented on him after. Would 100% recommend booking him and will continue to pass his details onto friends and family.

A total joy to work with

Mike was a total joy to work with for our wedding evening. From our initial meeting we knew he was going to smash it. He brings such a fun energy to his planning and really showed his expertise when talking through music choices and scheduling the evening from the first dance to the last. Everyone had a brilliant time on the dancefloor and it's clear Mike loves what he does. We would thoroughly recommend working with Mike.

Fantastic DJ & MC - highly recommend

We couldn't have asked for a better DJ for our wedding! From start to finish, DJ Mike brought incredible energy and created the perfect atmosphere for our special day. He was more than just a DJ—he was a fantastic host, keeping everyone engaged and making sure everything flowed smoothly.
One of the best parts was the effort he put in, to learn about our music tastes and his easy-to-use app, which allowed us to select our must-have songs ahead of time and let guests make requests too. It was such a thoughtful addition that made everything feel personalised and seamless.

First and foremost, I’m a father of three and I live in Hertfordshire with my wife, Amy.

Obviously, my wife and kids are my number one passion (but music is a very close second) and I’m super lucky to be able to use my love and knowledge of music to benefit my clients.

I have over 10 years’ experience in the wedding entertainment industry. I am a successful wedding DJ and have made literally hundreds of couples’ wedding days unforgettable by delivering quality music and entertainment for them, their friends and their loved ones.

In addition to being a professional wedding DJ, I’m also the owner of the highly successful DJ business, Disco Factory UK (also based in Hertfordshire). Through this venture and my frequent DJing, I have established myself as a reliable professional and someone who is able to consistently deliver quality events – my reviews speak for themselves!
