I’m DJ Mike Readings, a multi award winning professional and experienced wedding DJ & MC who has been entertaining new couples and their guests in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire for over 10 years.
My passion is helping couples like you create the ultimate playlist for your perfect wedding, leaving your guests well and truly wow’d!
I firmly believe that excellent wedding entertainment is an essential component of every wedding and something that will make your special day be remembered for a lifetime. Whether you want current tracks, club classics or maybe something a little different, I will help you create and customise the perfect playlist for your big day.
I’ll then work overtime to not only get people dancing, but ensure everyone parties like never before and has the time of their lives.
Not really sure what music you want? Leave everything to me and I’ll draw on my years of experience to deliver a party atmosphere that will be remembered by all. Even if you’ve got a bunch of tunes you’d like to hear, but not enough to fill an entire playlist, I’ll do the rest.

This will be covered in 2 face to face meetings comprising one introductory get together before you book and then a further meeting approximately 4 weeks before your big day to finalise your requests
What's your experience?
I’ve had a passion for music and entertaining all my life. In the year 2005, I finally turned that love into a career as a Professional DJ. Then, in 2008, I turned my focus to becoming a Wedding DJ

What can I say, Mike is incredible and a master at what he does. He ensured our day was absolutely perfect from start to finish and we are so grateful and happy we chose him for our special day.
Despite the weather not playing ball, Mike, our photographer Erica and the Sandon team went above and beyond to ensure our day ran so smoothly. We didn't have to worry about a thing and we were just able just to soak up the love, laughter and special moments in our day. The transition from our wedding breakfast to party was brilliant and ALL or our guests have deemed our wedding the wedding of the year and we could not have had that without Mike doing what he does best. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
Everybody needs a master or ceremony & DJ like Mike but he is so much more than that. I will never forgot those few nervous moments walking from the house to our ceremony but being meet with the warmest hug and smile from Mike before making my entrance! Just what I needed and the day was perfect from start to finish! M

The best!
Mike is the most incredible DJ you could ever ask for! Honestly, he’s the best of the best, you will not regret booking with him. He is so dedicated and passionate about his job, he puts in so much effort to get to know his couple & plans the music to fit the whole experience. He brings so much fun and energy into the whole day! He went above and beyond, even helped us organise our guests for photos, helped plan out our day so it would all run smoothly and everyone loved him. The MR and MRS game is hilarious! He really does think of every small detail and it makes a huge difference! Thank you Mike for being the most amazing wedding DJ and making our day so special! Best there is!!

DJ Mike was absolutely incredible! He was with us all day and his performance was outstanding from start to finish. His app planning system made it easy for us to personalize our wedding soundtrack, which we loved.
Mike's expertise really shone through during our planning session. His honest advice about keeping the party atmosphere alive was spot-on. The interactive elements he included, like the advice cards and Mr. and Mrs. game during dinner, were huge hits - our guests are still talking about them!

Absolutely the best wedding Dj
Absolutely brilliant Dj . Would recommend Mike to anyone looking for a DJ for their wedding . He met us prior to the wedding to listen to how we’d like the day and evening to look like and also came up with some great suggestions to add to a fun and relaxed atmosphere that we wanted . So many guests complimented Mike on the music and his Dj skills and reading the crowd in terms of music . Such a warm and friendly person and really made our wedding day and night extra special . Recommend the digital Photo Booth he supplies . Went down so well with the evening guests at the reception and got people on the dance floor . He also arranged a beautiful white dance floor and lighting .

Mike was a great choice for our wedding and was great throughout the planning phase. He managed to blend our music choices together perfectly and got everyone up and dancing for the whole evening, I would highly recommend Mike to anyone looking for a wedding DJ

Can’t recommend Mike enough!
Our wedding was absolutely perfect from start to finish and Mike helped to make the day one to remember.
The communication on the lead up to the wedding was 10/10 and even had his own app where we were able to upload all music we wanted for every aspect of the day.
From the amazing playlist all throughout the evening alongside the Sax and Bongo players , which we had so many compliments about from guests, to the Mr and Mrs game and advice cards during the wedding breakfast, everything was incredible.
We really believe our day wouldn’t have been so perfect without Mike there.
Thank you so so much for helping to make our wedding the best day of our lives! I really wish we could do it all over again!

The best dj ever!
We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ than Mike!! He created an amazing atmosphere and kept the party going all night long. From the moment we started planning, he was incredibly friendly and professional, making us feel relaxed and confident that everything would go smoothly.

The absolute BEST!!
Wow! Where do I even start!? Mike was absolutely unbelievable!
We met Mike on a open day at our wedding venue and from that moment we knew we didn’t want anyone else to not only DJ at our wedding but we knew we needed him there all day and we were not wrong!
Mike filled us with so much confidence and excitement about our big day, his positive energy brought us so much joy.
There’s no my one of our guests that I’ve spoken to who didn’t enjoy the music and entertainment, we’ve even had a few of our guests book Mike since our wedding!
Our day couldn’t have ran any smoother if we tried, not one little hiccup all thanks to the lovely team at our wedding venue (Millingbarn) and also a massive thank you to Mike, he catered to our every need!
The selfie pod was also a massive hit!
We switched it up with our music and didn’t go with the typical wedding go to songs but more to our own taste with a lot of R&B, old rap & new rap and Mike definitely delivered this in the best way possible, I can confirm neither myself or Luke left that dance floor - it was full the whole night!
So.. if you’re looking for an incredible DJ/MC Mike is definitely your guy!

Next to none
We had Mike as our DJ for our wedding in March. From our first pre-wedding call we knew we had picked the best of the best. He is so much more than a DJ, helped with handing out confetti, organising photos, making necessary announcements and making sure my husband and I were happy with the things he was doing.
He made all of our room entrances incredible, guests waving napkins, advice cards and after our meal he had us playing Mr & Mrs.
Incredible set up and music. Mike is an altogether lovely man and extremely good at what he does - would definitely use him for any other events should I have them.
Highly recommend!

A real find
Hiring Mike to be our wedding DJ was a very easy decision. There is a reason he’s received the accolades he has. Right from our first meeting he was easy to deal with, and genuinely interested in understanding what a great party looked like for us. His App made it easy for us to consider and communicate what we wanted him to play, and he was brilliant at advising around how we might blend different genres of music to suit all types and taste. He even helped us “orchestrate” our first dance. We’re not ones for “cheese”, nor anything overly formal and Mike got that. The package we chose included a selfie machine which was a real hit and has provided us with some fabulous mementoes. I would have absolutely zero hesitation in recommending Mike’s services– he will ensure a wedding party to remember. We have had SO many compliments. Thank you, Mike!

The best dj!
WOW! Just wow!
Mike exceeded all our expectations, assignment well and truly understood.
He was such calming presence all day, and made it so much easier for my partner and I to be present with our guests, knowing you would put us where we needed to be.
The DJ set was absolutely epic and he smashed it! I did not want to leave the dance floor and I don’t think any of our guests did either.
Mike is absolutely incredible at what he does, and we cannot recommend him highly enough!

Best wedding DJ around!
Mike is so much more than just a wedding DJ! His passion and attention to detail made our wedding truly unforgettable. He was incredibly helpful during the planning process and really made sure that all the music was perfectly tailored to us and the vibe we wanted to create. He is amazing as an MC, worked alongside our venue to make sure the day ran completely smoothly, and our guests loved his energy (and the fun additional details like Mr and Mrs game and couples advice cards!). Thanks to Mike we didn't have to worry at all and could fully immerse ourselves in enjoying our day. The music in the evening had everyone on the dance floor for hours, Mike is a genius at knowing what works and how to keep the energy going all night long! Thank you so much Mike!

Halloween Wedding
Mike was our Dj for our wedding and all I can say is wow. We got married on Halloween and Mike went above and beyond with not only our theme but as well with our playlist ideas!
Mike has great energy and was such a support as well on our big day. He really helps run the show and he does it with a huge smile on his face. You can tell this man loves what he does and his passion for his work is unparalleled!

Mike Readings
DJ / Business Owner
First and foremost, I’m a father of three and I live in Hertfordshire with my wife, Amy.
Obviously, my wife and kids are my number one passion (but music is a very close second) and I’m super lucky to be able to use my love and knowledge of music to benefit my clients.
I have over 10 years’ experience in the wedding entertainment industry. I am a successful wedding DJ and have made literally hundreds of couples’ wedding days unforgettable by delivering quality music and entertainment for them, their friends and their loved ones.
In addition to being a professional wedding DJ, I’m also the owner of the highly successful DJ business, Disco Factory UK (also based in Hertfordshire). Through this venture and my frequent DJing, I have established myself as a reliable professional and someone who is able to consistently deliver quality events – my reviews speak for themselves!
