I’m DJ Mike Readings, a multi-award-winning professional and experienced wedding DJ & MC who has been entertaining new couples and their guests in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire for over 10 years.
My passion is helping couples like you create the ultimate playlist for your perfect wedding, leaving your guests well and truly wow’d!
I firmly believe that excellent wedding entertainment is an essential component of every wedding and something that will make your special day be remembered for a lifetime. Whether you want current tracks, club classics, or maybe something a little different, I will help you create and customise the perfect playlist for your big day.
I’ll then work overtime to not only get people dancing, but ensure everyone parties like never before and has the time of their lives.
Not really sure what music you want? Leave everything to me, and I’ll draw on my years of experience to deliver a party atmosphere that will be remembered by all. Even if you’ve got a bunch of tunes you’d like to hear but not enough to fill an entire playlist, I’ll do the rest.

Is it possible to request something that's not in the repertoire?
This will be covered in 2 face to face meetings comprising one introductory get together before you book and then a further meeting approximately 4 weeks before your big day to finalise your requests
What's your experience?
I’ve had a passion for music and entertaining all my life. In the year 2005, I finally turned that love into a career as a Professional DJ. Then, in 2008, I turned my focus to becoming a Wedding DJ

What is the length of time of the act?
I emcee and DJ during the day, typically starting from 1pm looking after the ceremony music
How much time do you need to prepare for an act?
Around an hour to set up and soundcheck to ensure everything is perfect, you won’t even know I’m there

£200 per hour after the agree timeline

So much more than a DJ
Your wedding is one of the most personal days of your life and it’s important to find people that care about it as much as you do...
Mike exceeded expectations.
From our first introduction with Mike, we knew we were in safe hands and it was such an easy decision to book him for our wedding.
So much more than a DJ, he assisted us with pre-planning (taking a lot of stress away from the (still) happy couple), looked after our guests as the trusted MC and helped build the atmosphere throughout the day into the perfect evening celebration.
Mike went above and beyond at every opportunity and we cannot reccomend him enough.
Thank you again for everything and hopefully see you on another dancefloor soon!
P.S Toto Africa IS a great song.

Amazing DJ

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better DJ than Mike. From start to finish he was absolutely brilliant and made our evening reception unforgettable.
The dancefloor was buzzing all night, the music was spot-on, and the atmosphere he created was just perfect. A special mention has to go to his collaboration with Dom, our sax player – the two of them together were simply incredible and really took the night to another level.
So many of our guests have commented on how amazing the evening was, and that’s largely down to Mike’s talent, professionalism, and energy. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ who truly knows how to make a celebration special.

So… Mike! Where do we begin…
Absolutely standout DJ, fantastic compere and all round amazing person, who not only made our day, but our entire weeding!
Mike was brilliant from the first meeting, funny kind, warm, professional and got the vibe we were going for instantly and that just set the tone for the whole experience, which I can honestly say only gets better and better!
💯 you are in the best most capable and reliable hands, Mike takes the stress out of your day and the thinking out of the timeline, he had everything under complete control.
My advice to anyone thinking by about booking Mike - Just do it! You will not regret it and he will give you and your guests a day and night you will never forget! 🫶🏻

We honestly cannot recommend Mike Reddings highly enough. From start to finish, Mike was absolutely fantastic and played such a huge role in making our wedding day run so smoothly.
As our MC, Mike was confident, professional, and engaging throughout the entire day. He kept everything flowing seamlessly and took so much stress off us by supporting the venue and managing the organisation of the day with ease. It made a massive difference knowing we were in such capable hands.
As a DJ, Mike was next level. His music was complimented by so many of our guests, and the dance floor was full all night long — people genuinely couldn’t stop dancing! On top of that, we experienced a few unexpected power outages during the evening, but Mike handled everything calmly and efficiently. Thanks to him, things ran far more smoothly than they could have, and our guests were barely impacted at all. He truly saved the day.

Magic mike
From the moment we spoke to Mike, we knew we wanted him for our big day and realised immediately that we were in great hands. Mike was our MC for the day as well as our DJ for the evening. From start to finish he helped run our day making it go off without a hitch and come the evening, thanks to him our dance floor was the place to be. Mike takes on-board who you are as a couple but also makes his own recommendation on what he believes will ensure people have the most fun possible and make it a day to remember. Most of our guests commented on how amazing he was and we couldn't agree more. We had decided we didnt want a grand entrance for our cake cutting, however Mike read the room at the last minute and recommended we did, he chose the song for us to enter to and it has become one of the most memorable moments of the day. We couldn't recommend DJ Mike enough.

A huge thank you to Mike for being the best DJ ever! Everything ran smoothly from start to finish. From the very first zoom call, we knew that we had made the right choice! Mike listened and knew exactly what we wanted. He really didn’t disappoint! From our first dance song to the last song of the evening, he smashed it and made the evening of our wedding unforgettable🥹🥰.

The best DJ/MC!
We honestly can’t thank Mike enough for everything he did on our wedding day and the lead up! He wasn’t just our DJ — he ran the whole day seamlessly, acting as MC and general coordinator, keeping everything on track and everyone in great spirits. Without Mike, the day simply wouldn’t have been what it was. We had so many compliments from our guests (and even the venue staff!) about how professional, fun and engaging he was throughout.
