Hello we are Light up Love. We hire GIANT light up letters for weddings which are sure to create a WOW at your venue!
At over 5ft tall, our letters provide a fantastic backdrop for photos, light up the dance floor and add the perfect personal touch to your venue. Any combination of light up letters are avalable in both the white and smaller rustic style.
We are based in Hertford, and cover Hertfordshire, London, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Berkshire. Our hire items are PAT tested and we hold £10mil Public Liability Insurance.

How long do I get the letters for?
The hire period on the daily rate is from 8am on your hire date to 2am the next morning. So basically you have them for the day and night if required. However we know that sometime our customers want them the day before, subject to availability/location restrictions we do not have a problem with delivering them a day before your hire date.
How big are the letters?
The letters are all 1.6 metres/5ft3 tall, except the ampersand, stars and hearts. Each letter is about 1.2 metres wide, however some are slightly larger eg. W and M. Our rustic letters are smaller at 4ft tall.
Are they heavy?
Yes, however this is intentional. We want you and your guests to have a great day, so we have designed our letters with this in mind. Our letters are quite deep, making them difficult to push or fall over.
What are they made out of?
Our letters are made from sustainably sourced MDF and 18mm plywood.
How long do they take to set up?
Not long, this all depends on how easy it is for us to access your venue.
My venue needs to be clear the same night, is this a problem?
That’s not a problem, we prefer to collect the same night.
What time do you normally deliver the letters?
We can deliver the letters anytime between 6am – 2am (the following day)
Can the letters be placed outside?
Unfortunately, unless the letters are fully undercover e.g in a marquee or tipi, we cannot allow them to be placed outside.
Can I move the letters from my wedding breakfast room to my evening room?
Yes, each letter should be safely unplugged and then moved carefully by two people.
Can I change the colour of the light bulbs?
Yes, as well as our standard warm white bulbs we can offer cool white. We can swap to coloured bulbs for a small additional fee.
How much power do they use?
Each letter is different, all letters are fitted with regular appliance leads and so plug into wall sockets at your venue. We have extension leads up to 40m in length.
What happens if I have a problem during my hire?
We are on the phone for support if there are any issues and we'll always leave a spare bulb just in case!
How do I book?
You can book via phone, email or the quote request form on our website. We ask for a small deposit to book and the balance due 4 weeks before your wedding.
