I’m Richard Jansen — an Oxfordshire-based wedding celebrant creating ceremonies for the curious, the stylish, and the quietly rebellious.

I work by commission, not template. Every ceremony is shaped around your story, your personalities and the atmosphere you want to create — elegant, relaxed, playful, poignant, or somewhere wonderfully in between.

Before becoming a celebrant, I spent years working at the highest level of live events and communications — including within a Royal Household, on the Olympics, and on the West End stage (The Phantom of the Opera). It taught me how to hold a room, read a moment and, perhaps most importantly, help people feel completely at ease when emotions are running high.

Based in Oxfordshire, my ceremonies take me across the county and throughout the Cotswolds — recently including Blenheim Palace — as well as beautiful country houses, private homes and more unexpected settings. I also work in London and further afield when the right commission comes along.

I’m often chosen by couples who care about words, tone and how a moment actually feels — and who want something natural rather than over-performed. Thoughtfully crafted, deeply personal and unmistakably theirs.

Fee: £750 for a fully bespoke wedding ceremony, including travel across Oxfordshire and surrounding counties.
