Matthew and I will hold our hands up and say neither of us are natural wedding planners. In fact, we have both actively disliked most of the process - we just wanted the fun party with 0 work, ok?! That was until we met Cat at the Un-Wedding Fair a year or so ago. Cat had a warm, engaging presence which instantly made us feel at ease. We just instantly clicked and knew this person was meant to be part of our day. We adored Cat's energy so much that we actually cancelled the registrar we had booked just so that we could get her involved in our day.

The booking process was incredibly easy and Cat was incredibly supportive ever since. Beyond the beautiful branding, there is a hardworking person who finds the perfect balance between being familiar and personable and being precise and attentive. Cat was so brilliant at matching our energy, but she also kept us focused and guided us when we really needed it.

Cat's communication was always clear and efficient, and she was in regular contact with us. We had group calls to talk through ideas, individual calls to help write our vows, meet ups in cute London cafes to get to know each other, meetings at our venue to run through the ceremony and regular exchanges of musical related memes in our group chat (important). She shared her 'decks' with us - a collection of traditions we could include in our ceremony, and a selection of vows to help us when writing our own. These were really useful to us and learnt new ideas we never would have found on our own.

As I'm sure many bisexuals will have experienced, it is not uncommon to experience biphobia from within the LGBTQ+ community. As a straight presenting couple, I had wondered whether Cat would treat us differently as she markets herself as a queer celebrant. At no point was this ever the case. Before Cat was even aware of my identity, she welcomed us both with open arms and never once made us feel anything other than her top priority. I wanted to note this as I'm sure there are a lot of straight-passing couples out there who are looking for a queer celebrant to represent them with an understanding and kindness that you might not get elsewhere.

My favourite part of the entire process was undoubtedly reading Cat's draft of our wedding ceremony script. I knew we had found a gem when we stumbled upon Cat that day in London, but my god, her writing will blow your mind. Her script was so personal, so heartwarming, so completely and utterly hilarious, that we both knew instantly she had captured us both and the kind of love we share perfectly. We both had tears streaming down our faces, both in laughter and in how much it warmed our hearts to read.

I cannot recommend Cat enough. Working with her has been the highlight of our entire wedding-planning experience. She makes everything fun, manageable and easy. I am genuinely so gutted this process is over - we will miss talking to her so much. Fingers crossed we're rich enough for a vow renewal one day - we'll book you all over again!

Cat brings such enthusiasm, dedication and understanding to the entire process. The planning of our ceremony never felt like a chore, and Cat's attention to detail, professionalism and attentive listening made us feel incredibly well looked-after and always confident that our day would be completley 'us'. Not only did Cat meet with us online and in-person as we planned our big day, she also met us individually to support us in the writing of our vows. I cannot stress enough how reassuring it was to have Cat's professional eye to help me structure and shape my own writing! The ceremony itself was perfect and exceeded my expectations. It was perfectly personal, emotional and joyfully funny! Thank you so so much Cat for making our wedding completley magical!

Cat really went above and beyond as our celebrant. We didn’t have much time and booked her last minute. She completely understood what we wanted and the vibe she created was authentic/chilled and magical!
