The Bond offers a choice of stunning spaces to make your day truly unique. The Gatehouse, with its historic character and light-filled interiors, provides a memorable setting for your “I do’s,” seating up to 160 guests for a heartfelt ceremony. For your wedding breakfast and evening celebration, the Canopy is the showstopper. This impressive glass-fronted space overlooks the River Rea and canal, flooding your day with natural light and creating an unforgettable atmosphere as the sun sets. The canal runs through the very middle of our huge outside courtyard. Imagine a summer's day outside with your guests enjoying delicious cocktails, homemade canapes and photos on our very own floating pontoon. With space for up to 160 seated guests and a dance floor to follow, it’s a versatile and inspiring location for your celebration. Every corner of The Bond is rich with history, offering endless photo opportunities that capture the romance and energy of your big day.

A flawless experience
We had a very generous food tasting and the menu was extremely good value for money. The food itself was excellent and extra canapes were put on for vegetarians so that they had more variety at no extra cost.
The day before we were allowed to come and set up which was great and the staff there - Luke and Esther were both friendly and helpful beyond the normal level. It made the running of the day so much easier.
On the actual day everything ran so smoothly, even with the changes that had to be made last minute for COVID (such as table service only and no bars). The venue was gorgeous and there was the added benefit of a nesting duck in the wonderful courtyard!! Nothing went wrong at all and Luke made sure that everything ran smoothly, including pushing the ceremony back a little bit.
The venue itself is a converted church/warehouse with wonderful high ceilings and natural lighting. The decor is quite indie with all sorts of different old chairs and amazing art work. The ceremony and food halls are also separate so there is no big delay or hanging around at any time.
We just want to say thank you for everything and I cannot recommend this venue and the team highly enough. What you get for your money is extraordinary especially given what other similar venues were charging. These are up and coming places and you should consider giving them a go, as I think they will only become more popular.

I've worked in the wedding industry for over 12 year and had the privilege to plan and execute over 100 weddings. I started at Digbeth Events in the operations team, coordinating entire weddings on the day so my knowledge of the venue and what we can offer is invaluable.

Currently, I manage operations across three exclusive venues within the Oval Digbeth Estate, Birmingham’s creative hub. Overseeing a dynamic team and 40-strong casual workforce. From live music and experiential events to conferences, weddings, and film production, I ensure each event delivers both impact and precision.
My background spans public, private, and high-capacity sporting and entertainment venues from hosting Ashes test matches at Edgbaston to mobilising services for HM Government’s grand opening events. I bring a unique ability to unite strategy with detail, leading service delivery, safety, and team culture with equal care.
