After meeting Alison at an open evening at our wedding venue, I booked in for a hair and make-up trial and hair colour ahead of our big day. The trial was really helpful to chat and discuss ideas, and helped me pin down what I did and didn’t want, and after spending this time with her I knew she would keep me calm on the morning of the wedding. I had the privilege to use Alison for both a pre-wedding shoot and on my wedding day both in 2025.
I came to her with some ideas and styles and she really helped make them come to life despite having thinner hair!
She is a real professional and avoids heavily over done make up, my make up was perfect from 10am through until midnight - despite usually having issues with shine.
Alison was great at communicating - from moment of enquiry through to knowing what time she would be at the venue. I would absolutely use her again for any events. Alison really listened to exactly what I hoped for and the look I wanted. As a much older bride I was so worried that I would look over made up and silly, but Alison gave me such a glowing, natural look that I felt so much confidence walking down the aisle. My hair lasted all day- without any issues and everyone commented on how beautiful it was. The beauty of Alison is that she offers a makeup trial, and a discussion over the look I wanted. I didn’t like the initial look and so she changed it without fuss. On the day, she arrived so early and just set everything up so I had no stress at all. Also she gave me the lipstick used so that I could re apply it all day. I couldn’t have felt better when meeting my lovely husband to be. The service isn’t cheap, (nothing is when you get married!) but I believe it was the best and I wouldn’t have changed it for anything cheaper as I believe that she gave a first class service. I honestly can't thank Alison enough for the incredible work she did on my wedding day. From the moment we had our trial, I knew I was in the best hands. Alison immediately understood the look I was going for and brought it to life effortlessly. I wanted to ensure that we struck a balance between creating a glamorous bridal makeup that was lightweight, long-lasting and worked to enhance my natural features. The final look turned out even better than I could have imagined.

On the day itself, Alison was such a calming, positive presence. She made me feel relaxed and at ease, looking after both myself and my mum. Alison created a gorgeous makeup look and fabulous updo for my mum, ensuring that she felt amazing too.

Alison didn’t just leave after the ceremony, she came back in the evening to touch up my makeup and completely restyle my hair for a different evening look. She made me feel fresh, glamorous and ready for the party!

The makeup was flawless, lasting through happy tears, hugs and hours of dancing. Both of the hair looks were absolutely perfect. I received so many compliments and felt like the best version of myself all day long.
