Historic Wells Town Hall stands in the Market Square, close to the Cathedral and Bishop’s Palace. The Town Hall offers three rooms for marriage ceremonies; the Council Chamber, the Parkes Room and the Main Hall.
PARKES ROOM - Situated on the first floor, with its windows to floor level and a feature "Venetian" window is a light and airy room. It can accommodate up to 70 guests and has access for those less able by passenger lift.
MAIN HALL - "The finest public room in Somerset" is the largest room having permission for wedding ceremonies. Situated on the first floor this wooden floored and picture lined room is lit by two crystal chandeliers and can hold up to 180 guests. In addition to being fully equipped for the conduct of marriage ceremonies, the Town Hall has a Public Entertainment Licence, a recently refurbished kitchen with crockery and cutlery to cater for 180 people.
- On the 27th of November 1998 the Town Hall was granted a Licence for the conduct of Civil Marriages.

Avoid at all costs
Mums plan. Set up reception in hall night before, get married in side room then head to main hall for reception, and take everything down following day.
THEIR PLAN: bride 2 in main hall whilst my mum gets married in the side room as bride 1 leaves (yes literally within minutes of each other multiple weddings are happening) and then... f**k my mothers wedding reception i suppose because theres no way they can dissasemble and reassemble a venue that size in the time it takes to take photos (not to mention if bride 2 had plans).
Their contract says they can cancel up to 24 hrs before the ceremony (icky policy if you ask me).
The audacity, the nerve, the gall, the gumption of these people.
