Nestled in the shadow of the iconic & picturesque Wells Cathedral, The Swan Hotel in Wells is a beautiful 15th century Inn, that has been welcoming guests since 1422.

The Garden Room at The Swan Hotel, Wells is licensed for ceremonies up to 80 people. This light and airy room with its open glass doors lends itself beautifully to civil wedding ceremonies and opens out onto our secluded Walled Garden.
The Ivory Suite, located on the ground floor, has its own reception and dedicated bar area and seats up to 80 guests for a wedding breakfast. Once the ceremony is complete, The Ivory suite can extend to hosting 140 guests, for you to celebrate into the night.
At the very front of our hotel, The Swan Terrace provides a unique opportunity to capture Wells Cathedral as a stunning backdrop, making for picturesque scenery, which is a photographers dream.
Retire to our stunning Cathedral Suite after you've celebrated your hearts out, offering unrivaled panoramic views of Wells Cathedral. The sumptuous and spacious bedroom, sitting room and bathroom are furnished with gilded French furniture, fabulous silk curtains and an eclectic mix of antiques. The perfect place to spend your first night of eternity together.

The Cathedral Suite is perfect!
Staff were super helpful and attentive, the food was delicious.
My only issue was on the fact that the seating was a little low for my hair and makeup artist to work with - so I’d suggest brides ask for an extra chair in advance!
