The Orchard offers a range of stunning spaces to suit every love story from intimate ceremonies to grand receptions for up to 130 guests. The fairy-lit Starlight Suite sets the scene for an unforgettable celebration, with its soft glow, elegant décor, and warm, welcoming ambiance.
Begin the day in the Oak Lodge a cozy, elegantly appointed bridal getting ready room that offers a tranquil sanctuary for up to six guests. With a thoughtfully prepared brunch basket to savor, it provides the perfect, intimate moment to relax, share laughter, and create cherished memories before the celebration begins.
Couples can choose from four beautiful ceremony locations, each as magical as the next:
The Garden Gazebo – A romantic favourite, surrounded by sweeping fields and skies, with wooden benches seating up to 120 guests ideal for a sun-kissed summer ceremony surrounded by the beauty of the countryside.
The Water Terrace – A charming alternative for outdoor ceremonies, especially popular for winter weddings thanks to its magical setting.
The Secret Garden - Tucked away behind charming wooden church doors, this enchanting space features fairy lights adorning the start of your aisle, leading you to a breathtaking view of the Kent countryside.
The Wisteria Room - An elegant indoor space for up to 80 guests, adorned with delicate floral touches and soft lighting, perfect for a romantic ceremony sheltered from the elements, yet still filled with natural charm.
After exchanging heartfelt vows, guests are invited to indulge in a beautifully prepared wedding breakfast in the Starlight Suite, with seating up to 130 guests. Absolutely Incredible
From the moment we arrived, everything was flawless. The ceremony area was beautifully set, creating the perfect atmosphere for such a special moment. The outdoor drinks reception was thoughtfully planned and ran seamlessly, and the stunning oak rooms were an absolute showstopper—our guests couldn’t stop talking about them throughout the day.
The food deserves a special mention—it was incredible. Generous portions, served hot, and absolutely delicious. Every single guest was catered for perfectly, which meant so much to us.
The package itself was outstanding and included everything we needed, making the whole process so much easier. Both the wedding breakfast room and the evening party space were the perfect size for our 114 day guests and 30 evening guests—spacious, but still felt intimate and full of atmosphere.
A huge thank you has to go to Jessi, our coordinator. Although she’s usually the accounts manager, you would never have known—she was truly exceptional. From start to finish, she went above and beyond for us. She made us feel completely supported throughout the entire journey and genuinely felt more like a friend than a coordinator. We also built a lovely relationship with her mum, the owner, which made the experience even more personal and special.
This venue truly speaks for itself, but what made it unforgettable was the personal, bespoke experience we were given from morning until night. It allowed us to create the exact wedding day we had dreamed of.
We will always be incredibly grateful for finding The Orchard Suite—it gave us the most perfect day. We’re already looking for an excuse to return… maybe a vow renewal in the future!
One in a Million, The Perfect Wedding Venue!
What truly makes The Orchard so special though, is the team. Every single member of staff clearly puts their heart into what they do, and it shines through in every detail. Our wedding coordinators, Caroline and Megan, were amazing and so responsive throughout the entire process and incredibly supportive, especially on the morning of the wedding while we were all getting ready. Amy and Katie were also fantastic in the lead up and always on hand to answer any questions we had, whether over email or in person.
On the day itself, the team went above and beyond to bring our vision to life. The venue looked absolutely beautiful, and they did such an incredible job incorporating all of our decorations. Our family and friends have not stopped talking about how attentive the staff were and how delicious the food was.
A special thank you as well to Callum the head chef and Callum S the front of house manager, for everything you did to make our day run so smoothly.
We truly had the most magical day of our lives and would recommend The Orchard to anyone. The staff are kind, genuine and attentive, the layout works perfectly, the dance floor is brilliant, the bar has such a great atmosphere, and the surroundings are simply stunning.
This venue really is one in a million. Thank you all so much for making our day so special, we will never forget it.
Best Wedding Ever!
One thing that was mentioned by all of our guests was the food. Perfect menu with lots of options and cooked to perfection. Also served with military precision and piping hot.
Value for money is amazing and this is a big reason why we booked it. Having great suppliers like 1Enterainment and Arrive in style included make such a difference. The orchard have different packages so you will find exactly what you need and lots of different add ons if you want it.
We had our wedding in October and were lucky enough to have our ceremony outside and drinks outside too. However, I know that if it had been raining we would have different options to hold the ceremony.
If there’s one venue you should visit when choosing your special day it should be The Orchard.
Just the most beautiful venue!
We booked a Friday daytime wedding and found it to be of excellent value for money.
No need for loads of additional decorations as the venue is stunning in its rawest form. Apart from table decs and our wedding party flowers, we added nothing else and STILL the venue received endless compliments for its character and style. Follow their Instagram for endless romantic posts!

We had the ELEGANCE package which included as standard:
- Venue until 1am

- 1 hour leave in luxury service
- the lodge for getting ready and a beautiful breakfast hamper

.....all extras that you don't always get elsewhere!
It really was enough for what we wanted and needed - especially as it was second time around weddings for me and my husband.
One thing which i think would be a bonus to this venue, and should definitely be something they consider, is accommodation for the bride and groom for the night after their wedding - it would just make the whole day that little less stressful that you can go and crash, or chill if you need to between the wedding breakfast and evening reception, plus its a nice space to store everything ready for a calmer exit the following day. - even as a chargeable extra - we would have taken them up on that. Instead we booked a local Airbnb which made for a nice break between the wedding day ending and going straight home in our finery to feed the cats etc (don't worry they were fed by our house guests!)!!
I really really can't recommend the venue highly enough - it is wonderful and you will love your day there!

The whole team at The Orchard made our wedding day magical, and we will cherish the memories forever. We can’t recommend them highly enough!
Absolute perfection from start to finish!
For starters, we want to say that the entire team are SO lovely. This includes all of the wedding coordinators in the lead up to the wedding, and also all of the staff on the day who made the day a complete dream. We want to give a special shout out to our coordinator Amy - nothing was ever too much trouble and she is one of the loveliest people we have ever met. Every time we emailed it was answered so helpfully and promptly, and on the day she was constantly buzzing around making sure everything was as it should be. My grandparents couldn’t make it on the day and so our table plan needed to be wriggled round at short notice but this was handled so swiftly and with minimal involvement from us, which I really appreciated.
The venue itself is so beautiful. There are so many parts of the building where guests can be and it was so nice on the day to find pockets of people in all the different nooks and crannies. The areas are also decorated so beautifully, which sets the perfect backdrop for all the photos. The main room is picturesque (especially the twinkly lights in the ceiling) and minimal decoration needs to be added, which helps keep the costs down.
The food is ASTOUNDING. We have had so many guests comment on how great the canapés, meal and evening food was - and we agree! The chefs are wizards and the quality of ingredients is top tier.
In terms of pricing, we think it is really reasonable considering what you get for your money. Including a DJ, getting ready room and evening taxi service really helped us to keep the overall costs down - especially when other venues charge you the same amount but sometimes just for the use of the venue (without food or anything).
If you are looking to book a venue, definitely go for The Orchard! We are hoping friends book here so we have a reason to come back 😂

Meet the team
Tez started her career as a House Manager for Whitbread, before becoming the manager of a popular à la carte restaurant. Her experience in both these roles gave her a passion for hospitalilty, and taught her how important it is to couple a well-appointed venue with exceptional service.
In 2010 Tez took over The Orchard. At the time it was very different; a country pub with a function room out the back. Tez quickly saw the potential to convert this beautfiul 14th century farmhouse into an enchanting wedding venue.
Tez has worked tirelessly for well over a decade to turn The Orchard into the breathtaking venue we have today. During her journey, Tez has tried her hand at every role, even working in the kitchens alongside our talented chefs. There's nothing she doesn't know about The Orchard!
Today Tez inspires her passionate team to create magical weddings and events. She's constantly looking for ways to innovate and give out couples the best possible day. Our historic home is in good hands.
