Formerly a Georgian coaching inn, this historic property in England was fully refurbished in 2017. Here, you and your guests can enjoy scenic surroundings, luxurious accommodations, and superior services for your special day.
Facilities and Capacity
The Crown Hotel offers both indoor and outdoor event spaces, as well as a separate function area, to host all kinds of wedding occasions. Enjoy a relaxed engagement party in the pet-friendly Pantry or a sophisticated rehearsal dinner in the formal Dining Room. This venue boasts a separate function space, the Sealy Suite, that offers privacy for events held here. The Sealy Suite is licenced for civil ceremonies and can comfortably accommodate up to 150 guests. The room benefits from a private bar area, and access to the beautiful south-facing garden. Your entire occasion can be held within the Sealy Suite, beginning with your heartfelt ceremony held indoors or outdoors. Afterwards, your guests can enjoy a comfortable drinks reception with canapes surrounded by meticulously manicured greenery in our private walled garden. The venue’s experienced event team can then easily transition the suite to host your main reception event. Guests can drink, dine, and dance the night away surrounded by the elegant accents and historic charm found here. Additional event spaces include the bar and cosy common room found within the main hotel. The entire venue can be reserved for those that wish to have exclusive use of the property for their celebration. The hotel boasts 27 beautifully appointed guest rooms and suites, several of which are decorated in the Georgian style.

Our dedicated Wedding & Events Coordinator Laura is the heart and soul behind many of the unforgettable weddings and events hosted at The Crown. With over two and a half years of experience orchestrating seamless celebrations at the hotel, as well as over 10 years working in events, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a genuine passion for creating magical moments. Known for her attention to detail, calming presence, and creative flair, Laura works closely with each of our guests to bring their vision to life, ensuring every event is a unique and cherished experience. From initial consultations to the final dance, Laura is dedicated to providing exceptional service and crafting memories that last a lifetime.

Robert is a cornerstone of The Crown, having recently celebrated his 15-year anniversary at the hotel. As our Deputy General Manager and longest standing Event Manager, he brings a wealth of experience and a keen eye for detail to every occasion. From intimate gatherings to grand celebrations, Robert's passion for crafting unforgettable experiences shines through. His calm demeanour and problem-solving skills ensure that every event runs seamlessly, making him a favourite with both guests and colleagues alike.

Vince, another of the hotels Event Managers, is the life of the party! Known for his vibrant personality and flamboyant flair, Vince brings an infectious energy to every event he works. With a passion for making guests days, he infuses each detail with a sense of theatricality and excitement. From grand weddings to intimate gatherings, over the past ten years Vince's creativity and meticulous planning have helped ensure that every guest feels like royalty.
