We couldn’t have chosen a more perfect venue for our wedding. From the very beginning, the communication was fantastic, and our wonderful coordinator, Laura, was absolutely amazing. She was so helpful, organised and reassuring throughout the whole planning process, making everything feel seamless and stress-free.
On the day itself, everything was so relaxed and went exactly to plan. The staff were incredible — attentive, friendly and professional, and nothing was ever too much to ask. A very special mention must go to Vince, who truly goes above and beyond. His care, attention to detail and willingness to help made such a difference.
The food was exceptional, and the level of service was second to none. The Crown offered fantastic value for money, and we have received so many wonderful compliments from our guests about the venue, food, atmosphere and service.
Our wedding day was everything we dreamed it would be, and The Crown will always hold an incredibly special place in our hearts. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect wedding venue. ❤️ -

Dear Laura
Well, where do we start? What can we say?
The Crown Hotel, Blandford Forum
It all starts the night before our wedding. Pam, my maid of honour and I checked in and made ourselves comfortable and deposited our dresses for the big day, the next day. We were both made very welcome on arrival and were treated like VIPs. A wonderful welcome.
The next morning, both Pam and myself knew we had lots to do before we could contemplate getting ready. We had to place the table plan, and the name cards on all the tables in readiness for our guests later that day. Your staff, yet again treated us like VIPs and made sure I was happy with everything that was being done in the Sealy Suite. Once all that was done, we then went in for breakfast.
Christine served us at breakfast and I have to say, she was so professional and again treated us really well. She said that as we hadn’t had much at breakfast, (as I couldn’t face a big breakfast) we could call for some bacon or sausage rolls later in the morning and that would be part of our breakfast. Such a kind thing to offer. Thank you, Christine and for all the care and support offered.
Now we turn to the actual wedding breakfast. This was absolutely fantastic. The attention to detail from the canapés to the wedding breakfast itself was absolutely superb. The food was excellent. All served hot and in a timely manner and all tasted delicious. Every guest was absolutely delighted with their choices and both yourself and Chris and the other kitchen staff played a huge role in making our special day even more special. It was magical and it was so special having you present, Laura, as from when we first met to begin planning, to the day itself, you have always gone above and beyond to help me make our day so perfect. You even sorted the parking for the horse and carriage that came from Trowbridge with the brewery. We cannot thank you enough.
We did say, once Darren’s photos are available, you will be able to use some of the photos for your brochure and social media. I have some photos but am waiting for the majority to come, which he says will be with us within the next 3 to 4 weeks. We will obviously let you know once we get them and then you can pick some of them for your use.
We are so impressed the way you and your staff treated us and all our guests. You, Chris and all your staff were an absolute pleasure to deal with and we would not hesitate to recommend anyone to have their wedding celebration with you. The service and attention to detail surpassed what we were expecting. I personally was made to feel like a film star for the day and when we both joined you at the reception you really did make our day so special and magical for us, even going so far as bringing out the canapés to us to make sure we didn’t miss out. Such a personal touch!
We were so impressed, that we have decided to book Christmas Day dinner with you as we are guaranteed to have a fabulous meal and a fabulous time sharing the festivities with you all. We are really looking forward to it.
All of the thanks go to you, Laura, as in our eyes you have been superb from start to finish and you really are excellent at what you do. The personal touch about everything has been absolutely superb, so thank you, even allowing us into the Sealy Suite to practice our first dance!!
You were all and still are, in our eyes, all superstars and we just cannot thank you enough.

A Fantastic Celebration for our Daughter and Son-in-Law's Wedding, 20th June 2026
Huge thanks to Laura (Wedding & Events Co-ordinator), Vince (Wedding & Events Manager), Gemma & Helen on Reception and all the team at The Crown Hotel, Blandford Forum, for making our daughter’s wedding so magical on Saturday 20th June, 2026. 🎉💕The venue looked absolutely stunning (with also many thanks to Lisa from Novia Events and Laura from Sweetpea florist). You all helped us plan the perfect wedding celebration from start to finish, which Paul Heath, our amazing photographer, captured in fine detail! The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful. Even the sun came out just in time for the ceremony and onwards into a beautiful afternoon and evening to enjoy the outdoor games from The Hire Barn, prior to a fantastic disco courtesy of Ricky Gold (stepping in at the last minute to our huge relief!). 🌅💃 We have all made memories to last a lifetime! Highly recommend The Crown Hotel as a stunning wedding venue with a friendly and dedicated team. 💕xx -

My husband and I recently got married at The Crown Hotel and couldn’t recommend this beautiful venue more. Everything was perfect and it’s located in the lovely, scenic Blandford Forum. The staff (special thanks to Vince) were incredibly attentive and ensured everything went smoothly and that we didn’t need to worry about timings. This meant we could relax and enjoy the day and take it all in. We are particularly grateful for Laura, the wedding and events coordinator, who planned our day to every tiny detail and it all came together perfectly. The food was incredible and we got many compliments on how delicious it was and the great service. Not to mention the compliments on the lovely venue, guests loved the garden area and hotel guests were very satisfied with their stay. Certainly recommend and can’t wait to come back and visit The Crown. Thank you so much. -

Amazing venue !!!
Laura and the team were absolutely amazing, kept us updated throughout the whole journey and on the day they were fab!! There was only 1 problem and it was sorted straight away!! The day went so smoothly and the staff were absolutely fab. Beautiful venue and amazing for photos!!! -

We had our wedding here on 11th October and it was a magical day.
Laura was fabulous throughout as the wedding organiser, Vince was superb on the day and Gemma was so friendly and helpful when called upon.
The room looked amazing, the grounds were super clean and tidy and the rooms were fantastic as well. We had guests from abroad and they said the booking of the rooms was super easy and nearly a year in advance.
We'd thoroughly recommend.
