Meet the team
Hi, I’m Clara- the friendly face (and inbox!) behind weddings and special events at The County Arms.
I’ve been part of The County Arms team for almost three years now. Before that, I spent seven years as a Sales & Events Manager across a number of pubs and venues, and I began my career in hospitality on the front of house floor. That journey means I understand weddings from every angle - from first enquiry to final guest departure.
Weddings are truly the most rewarding part of my role. I’m so proud to have helped coordinate over 150 weddings here at The County Arms, and no two have ever been the same. Every couple brings their own vision and personality, and I love helping shape those ideas into something that feels completely personal.
My role is all about the planning journey. I’ll guide you through everything in the lead-up - tastings, table plans, timings, menu choices, pre-orders, supplier questions, signage… all the moving parts that turn inspiration into a clear, confident plan. My aim is always to make you feel organised, excited and completely reassured.
On the day itself, our fantastic management and operations team take over and deliver everything we’ve carefully built together. I work very closely with them to ensure every detail is communicated seamlessly, so you can relax knowing your plans are in safe hands.
One of the things I love most about working here is our team. We’re a collection of genuinely kind, experienced people - many of us have worked together in other pubs before coming together here. That shared history means we operate as a real A team. There’s trust, communication and a huge amount of pride in what we do, and I truly believe couples can feel that.
The County Arms itself is incredibly special. Not only are our private rooms beautiful in their own right, but having generous outdoor space for welcome drinks and evening receptions is something truly rare in South West London. Our location is stunning, with perfect photo backdrops not just inside the pub, but right on Wandsworth Common. It gives weddings here that extra sense of space, light and occasion.
Perhaps the biggest compliment of all is that many of our previous couples have stayed in touch and become friends. That means everything to us. We never underestimate how much love and energy goes into a wedding day, and it’s such a privilege to be part of that journey.
I can’t wait to hear your ideas and help you start bringing them to life.
Hi, I’m Annie - Assistant Manager here at The County Arms!
I work closely alongside Clara throughout the wedding journey, supporting with enquiries, hosting show rounds, and helping couples really picture how their day will come together in our beautiful spaces. I’m also very involved in our food tastings (which is definitely one of the best parts of the job!) and love helping couples finalise those delicious details.
On the wedding day itself, I’m part of the team ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish. I’m there to support our couples, their families and guests, managing the flow of the day and handling any last-minute changes calmly and efficiently so that everyone can simply relax and enjoy the celebration.
Weddings are such meaningful occasions, and it’s incredibly special to be part of them. The County Arms is a beautiful venue, but what truly makes it magical is the team behind it. We all pull together to create a seamless, joyful atmosphere that feels both organised and completely personal.
So raise a toast to your engagement - and let us take care of the
Hi, I’m Alex B - Deputy Manager here at The County Arms.
When it comes to weddings, I’m all things liquid! From carefully preparing and organising pre-ordered drinks ahead of the big day to ensuring everything is served smoothly and perfectly on the day itself, I make sure the bar runs like clockwork.
Whether it’s trays of welcome drinks ready for that first celebratory toast, keeping glasses topped up during the reception, or managing the flow of the evening bar, my focus is on creating a seamless experience for couples and their guests. Timing, presentation and atmosphere are everything - and we take real pride in getting it just right.
We genuinely love hosting weddings here. There’s nothing better than seeing everyone relaxed, celebrating and having the best time together. Being part of the team that helps create that atmosphere is something I’m incredibly proud of.
So when you raise that first glass as newlyweds, you can trust we’ll be behind the scenes making sure every sip is just as it should be.
