We celebrated our wedding at The Bedford back in July 2025, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. From the very first planning meeting to the final dance, the team demonstrated an incredible level of professionalism, warmth, and a true can‑do attitude that made our day unforgettable.

The venue itself is stunning—full of character, charm, and atmosphere—but what truly set the experience apart was the staff. Every detail was handled seamlessly, and nothing was ever too much trouble. They anticipated our needs, supported our vision, and created a celebration that felt both personal and effortless.

As a gay couple, we felt completely embraced and celebrated. The Bedford’s team went above and beyond to ensure our wedding was not only flawless but also joyful, inclusive, and deeply memorable. Our guests were blown away by the service, the food, and the energy of the day.

We will forever treasure the memories made here, and we cannot recommend The Bedford highly enough for anyone looking for a venue that combines style, heart, and impeccable service.

We decided very early on that we’d be having a lower key London wedding and booked the Bedford within a few weeks.

Becky looked after us from booking to the actual day and is so passionate and comes with some many ideas (a lot of them we hadn’t thought about). She was incredibly responsive but also kept things so simple and stress free.

The food was excellent and the portions were like you’d get in the pub downstairs! They were super flexible with the wine/drinks budget, replacing red with rosé. The staff serving were excellent and everyone felt so looked after. My parents were so impressed that they took the time to email head office to thank them and sing the praises of the staff!

The pub and the rooms upstairs are a great backdrop for photos too!

Becky understood really early on what we wanted from the day and made it happen. Would definitely recommend to a friend and we’ll be back for future events!

The team at The Bedford gave us the most amazing day - we cannot thank them enough.

We knew we wanted a London pub wedding but we also knew we needed somewhere big enough to house a big number. The Bedford was the perfect place for this.

From our first planning meeting, we felt safe in the hands of Ethan, Becky, Nora and the team. They were so organised and knowledgeable, whilst also making everything feel straightforward. Nothing was ever a problem and they guided us through all the decisions and details with ease, making the planning process much more relaxed than we imagined it would be.

The day itself was wonderful. Ethan and his team made sure everything ran super smoothly - it wasn’t the slightest bit stressful for us or our closest friends and family who were supporting us on the day.

We chose a family style buffet for the food and everybody loved it. They also loved that we had access to so many different spaces throughout the day. Everyone particularly loved the theatrical feel of the Club Room, where we had our ceremony.

We used The Bedford’s recommended suppliers for photos, flowers and music - all of which were wonderful.

Thanks to this fantastic venue and team, we truly had the best day of our lives.

The Bedford is a pub close to our hearts and the team there pulled out all the stops to make our day exactly how we wanted. The food was delicious, drinks were flowing and the venue itself looked beautiful. All our family stayed in the rooms on site and we enjoyed a debrief breakfast the next morning letting us relieve it again. Thank you to all the team!

After another venue was constantly letting us down, we went to the Bedford in June in a panic. We were unsure if they could help us on such short notice and, not only did they did, they absolutely blew us away! Imagine sensational pie & mash for the wedding breakfast, a wonderful team who went above and beyond on everything, and the perfect cosy vibe for an incredible reception.

I can't thank them enough for everything they did for us - they really made us feel special and well looked after. I had to be dragged to bed at the end of the night because all I wanted to do was drunkenly hug them and say thank you.

Becky and her team were truly the Avengers of the wedding world. Even though we had been planning for a year, on the big day I couldn’t think of anything — but Becky and her team handled everything from start to finish, guiding, supporting, and taking care of every detail. They constantly kept me updated and reassured me, even when I wasn’t around, making sure everything was running smoothly and that our guests were enjoying themselves. From the ceremony to the evening party, everything was perfectly organized, allowing me to simply enjoy every moment without any stress. The setup was even more beautiful than I had imagined. All of our guests also couldn’t stop complimenting how amazing the food was. I honestly don’t know what I would have done without Becky and her amazing team. I’m incredibly grateful to them for making our day so perfect.

We hosted out wedding reception at The Bedford, staying there the night before and night of, which was a fantastic addition for us and the bridal party!

We were set up in the saloon bar the night before for welcome drinks/dinner which was a fantastic touch – if was great to have a private space to catch up with everyone as they arrived into London! The bar staff were absolutely brilliant and very accommodating (as they were throughout the remainder of the weekend!).

After a hectic morning before jumping in a cab to our wedding ceremony, I was a little worried that it had set the tone for the rest of the day but I really hadn’t of worried as Becky, our inhouse event coordinator, and team, absolutely smashed it out of the park! I felt at ease as soon we stepped back into The Bedford knowing that our wedding was in safe and professional hands.

The wedding breakfast set up was absolutely incredible! Being a DIY bride with control freak tendencies, I was nervous to hand over the reins but WOW!! We were truly blown away when we entered the room, The Bedford did a spectacular job and really brought our vision to life!

We always knew that The Bedford was the right venue for us but nothing had prepared us for how much we would love it! The set up (and tidy up), the organising of suppliers, the food!! Everything was spot on and we couldn’t have asked for more!! The day ran like clockwork which meant we could be present with our guests, let our hair down and really enjoy the day. We were told to remember that we were not the hosts of the wedding but instead the guests of honour and that’s exactly how we felt all day thanks to The Bedford teams hard work!!

Becky was our wedding coordinator extraordinaire and we couldn’t have done it without her and her brilliant team!! It really was the best day ever!!!

Honestly, the value for money in this stunning pub is amazing. The rooms were beautiful and super handy if you've got any guests travelling. Plus, it's licenced, so you can have the whole night before, morning, ceremony, breakfast, reception and night under one (beautiful) roof.

The staff were so brilliant and really help you tailor the day how you like, so it's super flexible. The food was excellent (unlike some other, more supposedly 'fancy' weddings I've attended before) and everything was very seamless.

We had multiple meeting, tastings, email exchanges in the run up so I felt very prepared and looked after.

Genuinely, if you're looking for a London wedding with great transport links, lovely atmosphere, good food and drinks, and a great staff it's a winner.

We were so happy when we came across The Bedford as it ticked all of our boxes - we had been looking for a venue in South London which we could afford, which would be willing to host us on New Year's Eve, and which would be big enough for us to have 100 guests for sit-down dinner and a ceilidh. The Bedford was reasonably priced for the quality of service they offered, compared to most other places we viewed.

We also found that the staff there were very friendly, professional and responsive, and showed a great of flexibility - they were always willing to go the extra mile to help us make the logistics a bit easier.

All of this would have been enough to make it an ideal venue for us, but on top of everything else, the building has a lovely atmosphere, with very little decoration required on our part to make it feel festive and welcoming, and they served excellent food - all our guests have been telling us since the wedding how much they loved it!

All in all, we couldn't have asked for a better venue to host our wedding - everything was top notch, from the convenience of the location, to the atmosphere and size of the ballroom/ cocktail bar, and the quality of the service and the food. We would highly recommend it to other couples!

The Bedford team are fantastic, I feel like our wedding was expertly planned. None of my weird and wonderful ideas I threw at Nora was too much and trust me, I had quite a few. The day itself was perfect. The only hitch we had was the Makeup artist was late which set us back, However Ethan took it in his stride I managed to get us back on track. Everything else about the day went off without a hitch due to thorough planning and incredibly hard-working staff. The building itself is beautiful, The rooms have character and quirks. It has this bougie vibe with history in its walls. The food is incredible, Home-cooked and proper portions. We set our tables in a banquet style and had Sharing food boards for each table. It felt so grand, but yet intimate.
I can’t thank the Bedford team enough for everything they done before and during our wedding.

We wanted a big fun and party feeling for our wedding and The Bedford delivered just that. Getting legally married in the club room underneath the disco ball was so different to any other wedding we've been to and our guests loved it. The staff were brilliant, particularly Becky who was our coordinator throughout the process and on the day. She went above and beyond helping us set up and ran the day seamlessly. Using the cocktail bar and the ballroom for the rest of the day and evenings festivities was a great use of space and it was so handy everything close together as well as the bar in the same room as the dance floor which was a necessity for me. The pub isn't just a pub, it's a fantastic event space with great decor, food and staff. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a London wedding!

Anne and the rest of the team could not have been more kind and helpful throughout every step of planning and executing our wedding (particularly with handling several last minute/nervy emails and requests in the final run up to the big day). It is the most wonderful and unique space (with so many options for different rooms you can use), giving such a fantastic and fun atmosphere.

We could not be more grateful and happy about how it all went; we wanted a more lowkey/relaxed but fun day, and The Bedford was the perfect place for this. We practically had to drag most of our guests off the dancefloor at the end of the night! as everyone was having too much fun!

My partner... now wife!!! and I held our small reception in the Ballroom at The Bedford Pub. We are locals and wanted to keep it local after a boozy day so this was the perfect location.

The staff were extremely attentive all around leading up to the day and helped with setup and arrangements throughout.

Would highly recommend if you want something a bit down to earth with value attached.

As soon as we visited The Bedford, we knew it was the venue for us. It had everything we had been looking for - ceremony and reception in one venue, late licence, great London location and hotel rooms - and all the spaces are so unique and beautifully decorated. The fact that it's a minimum spend, rather than paying a flat hire charge, was also very appealing and a model that more venues should use. Anne and the team were fantastic throughout and made the whole process stress-free, which considering we set the date only three months before the wedding was very welcome! The day itself was perfect. The team are clearly very experienced and managed the whole day so slickly and professionally, and were so friendly throughout. The food was absolutely delicious and so many of our guests complimented it, including a professional chef. The hotel rooms are also lovely. The main pub area was a great space for those staying the night before to have dinner and drinks and then have breakfast the morning after the wedding. It was the perfect day and we are so happy we chose The Bedford. We can't thank you enough!
