Thatcher’s Hotel is a charming Tudor style property set in the heart of the glorious Surrey countryside. There are 87 guest rooms in total, including double, twin, family and interconnecting rooms. For extra comfort and convenience, Thatcher’s also offers guests the use of free onsite parking, 24 hour room service and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. Thatcher’s has 3 different, fully licensed rooms and can cater for Wedding Ceremonies of between 20 and 120 guests, offering you the convenience of enjoying the whole day under one roof. Choose from the charming and intimate Parkview with its fairytale balcony, or the modern and spacious settings of Parkside and Central Park.

The distinctive features within the hotel grounds such as the ‘wishing well’ and wooden balcony make the perfect backdrop to compliment all types of photograph. Even during the winter months, our evergreen foliage surrounds the hotel with colour and beautiful scenery.

Enjoy a glass of bubbly and maybe a canapé or two out in the gardens, or if the weather makes a turn for the worse, you and your guests can enjoy your Drinks Reception in the warmth and comfort of the main Club Lounge. Our baby grand piano will even play itself for you….!

We had an amazing day. The staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly, the wedding co-ordinator Carey was exceptional, especially as she had taken on the role only a few months before our wedding and was covering the post temporarily. There was quite a lot of rain in the day, which limited how much time people could spend outside in the beautiful surroundings. Despite this, the atmosphere was incredible and everything throughout the day went extremely smoothly (largely due to Carey and Puran's organisation!). The thatcher's part has so much character that we didn't feel a loss at not being able to go outside much. The food was fantastic and we had many positive comments about this - both for the wedding breakfast and the evening buffet. The after care from the staff the next day was extremely good. The hotel recommended DJ Steve Caldwell - he was fantastic and really created a wonderfully lively atmosphere. The only negative was regarding changing room bookings and contact with the hotel in the last few weeks leading up to the wedding. However some of this was due to the hotel being taken over by another company at the time and the change of e-mail/telephone issues due to this. Lastly, some sat nav's don't bring you exactly to the hotel as it's on an incredibly long road. It's worth using the postcode of the pub along the road as a few of our guests got lost! I would certainly recommend the venue to others wishing to hold a wedding at the venue. We had an amazing day and it wouldn't have been so if it weren't for the kind assistance from the staff at the hotel.

We used the Ramada for our wedding ceremony and reception and everything about it was perfect. We had been to the hotel restaurant before but had forgotten how beautiful it was. From the initial visit to the morning after we were made to feel special and nothing was too much trouble. The pre wedding meal try out was such fun, the food was delicious and Bruno and his team made me feel like the most important person there – a theme which continued through the wedding day. Beth, the wedding coordinator ensued everything was in place for the big day, and as soon as we arrived the lovely Puran ensured we didn’t have a thing to worry about, I am sure that helping the groom’s party with their buttonholes is above and beyond the call of duty. After the ceremony we were able to enjoy the hotel’s beautiful grounds in glorious sunshine. Before Puran and Bruno continued to look after us and our guests brilliantly, we all enjoyed the wonderful food and wine. The hotel has a wonderful mix of traditional and modern rooms to use, and everything was spotless and all our guests were made to feel welcome. I honestly feel this hotel go above and beyond the norm before, during and after your wedding to ensure you have a wonderful time. Every single detail was taken care of. I didn't worry at all, I could simply enjoy our day. All of our guests enjoyed their stay too, everyone one commented on what a lovely place it is. It was the perfect place to celebrate our wedding.

We had our reception here in August 2010 and the whole day was perfect. The service was brilliant from Beth the wedding co-ordinator to Bruno, our host on the day. Every tiny detail was catered for. The food was gorgeous, the restaurant and evening reception looked and was amazing and I honestly felt like a princess that day. Thank you Ramada.

We were married in late June 2010, and the venue staff invited us for as many preliminary visits and chats as we needed. We had a few parts of our ceremony that required staff members to change around their usual plans, but the events team added to our ideas and were very accommodating to our requests. Gorgeous food, beautiful garden setting. Pefect.

The Ramada Guildford helped create the perfect wedding day for us! It has the right balance of atmospheric indoor space and beautiful gardens that have that informal feel. The Thatchers restaurant was truly beautiful for the reception; the staff were fantastic all day and many favourite memories from the day are down to the fantasic venue! We cannot praise the staff at the Ramada highly enough. From the preparation for our wedding with Beth to the friendly and attentive staff and excellent help from Bruno the Master of Ceremonies on our wedding day, everything was fantastic. The choice, quality and presentation of the food for our wedding breakfast was wonderful and lots of our guests commented on it and the restaurant and grounds being so attractive. It was exactly what we were looking for our special day.

We booked our wedding one year in advance and were provided with a high standard of service the entire time. Beth ensured everything we wanted was catered for, and as such, all our guests commented on how much the wedding reflected us as a couple. The non-traditional aspects of our wedding were accommodated and we really appreciated this. The food was of a high standard and guests with particular dietary requirements were catered for with no problems. Bruno and Puran made sure the day went smoothly and were always around with a smile on their face! We, along with other guests, stayed at the hotel and everyone was happy with their rooms...we must mention that the breakfast in the morning is amazing! We had to change a room booking, and although complicated, this was sorted out with no fuss. If you're looking for a venue that allows for a lot of flexibilty and thinking outside the box, this is the place for you!

We could not have wanted for a better day. The staff, from Beth who plans the day to Bruno and his Team who make it happen, are so friendly, attentive and professional that the day is not stressful at all. You can sit back and enjoy the day knowing that every fine detail has been taken care of. The little personal touches that you planned with Beth are included in the day as if they were always meant to be there. As a result guests are so impressed with how personal the day is to all the family. It's as if your wedding was the most important function they have ever done. I cannot recommend this venue highly enough.

From our first visit we knew instantly that we wanted our wedding at The Ramada. The grounds were lovely, the interior decor was charming and friendly, but most of all the staff were extremely helpful and accomodating. Beth took care of our every need leading up to the wedding, she was very helpful, understanding and accomodated all of our requests, nothing was too much trouble. On the day, the hotel staff were brilliant. Puran was superb, he was calm, organised and made sure the day ran without a hitch. The waiting staff were friendly and helpful. We couldn't of asked for a better reception and our thanks go to all of the staff there.

The Ramada Leatherhead/Guildford is a fantastic wedding venue. We loved the Tudor exterior, beautiful mature gardens, beamed ''Thatchers Restaurant'' mixed with a practical modern bar and function room area. The packages on offer are also extremely reasonable in comparison to other venues we visited. But what really sold the venue to us was the welcoming and friendly atmosphere, the staff were all wonderful - we knew our wedding would be in good hands. Every time we visited from the 1st time to our wedding day they all made us feel the most important people in the hotel. A special mention to Beth the wedding co-ordinator and her boss Martin, extremely efficient and accomodating, taking care of our every need. I really felt like a friend was organising everything as she really cared. Kate the operations manager was excellent and made us feel relaxed and confident about the day. Puran the master of ceremony was fabulous, he ensured the day went like clockwork and a drink was always in our hands! The food was 1st class, great variety to choose from and generous portions - we had so many compliments about the wedding breakfast and the buffet. The accomodation was good too -the reasonable price meant that loads of people stayed which was great. To top it all off they give you a weekend break to thank the person who helped you most as well as an anniversary meal to join them again to mark the special occasion. If you are considering the Surrey area for a reception venue, I would thoroughly recommend visiting this venue. Thanks to everyone at Ramada Leatherhead/Guildford for making our wedding day so special. Stephanie & Darran Wolfe
