Silk Mill Studios and Gallery is a former textile mill turned venue space in Frome in the Somerset region of England and is an idyllic location for your wedding party. It is in the centre of the historic market town of Frome, which offers plenty of accommodation and is on bus and rail routes.
It launched in May 2008 and has weddings, exhibitions, concerts, workshops, and a multitude of other events. The Silk Mill is perfectly placed in sight of St John's church if you want to have a more traditional ceremony and celebrate with us afterwards, or you can have the ceremony at the Silk Mill.
About 100 is the limit for the number of people attending the ceremony and meal, but you can invite another 70 or so for the evening. You can have live music inside or out until 11 pm, and the bar can be open until 11.30.
Also, the building has 22 studios where artists and creatives work. With Roderick Vere (roderickvere.com), you can do a workshop to make your wedding rings! Another artist, Clare Lloyd Accessories (clarelloyd.co.uk), makes wedding hair accessories and bridal jewellery.
