Located in Greenwich, South East London, the Queen's House is a truly unique, iconic, and stylish wedding venue. Conceived as a 'House of Delight' for James I's queen, this exquisite former royal residence in England is set in the green and leafy surroundings of Greenwich Park, London. From here, you can enjoy spectacular views across the gardens of historic Greenwich to the River Thames and the contrasting skyscrapers of Canary Wharf beyond.
The Queen's House has an extraordinary history; it is the only significant remnant of the vanished Tudor royal palace at Greenwich, where Henry VIII and Elizabeth I were born, and the centrepiece of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Facilities and Capacity
Designed by the pioneering architect Inigo Jones, the Queen's House is a masterpiece of 17th-century architecture. It is now filled with art and design classics, both old and new, including paintings by great British and European masters. The Queen's House, a royal retreat, was designed as a place of pleasure and celebration—a tradition that continues today.
With sweeping park views, the Queen's House is a special place to celebrate. The Great Hall, the main event space, can accommodate up to 120 guests within its impressive walls. It enjoys views over the Thames and boasts a magnificent black and white marble floor. Hold your drinks reception in the Orangery & South Parlours and your DJ after party in the vaulted rooms of The Undercroft. In addition, there are stunning photographic opportunities in the beautiful grounds and stone colonnades, ideal for capturing special moments for your wedding album.
You can tailor your dream wedding to suit you by choosing from the range of event spaces offered and working with some of the House's trusted suppliers.

o We also include an engagement shoot as part of the hire. Work with our trusted recommended photographer Ian, and capture the start of your wedding journey before your big day! You can shoot at Queen's House of course but why not shoot at another one of our five venues?! Ask us for more info on this should you wish to explore further.
