We had our reception at One Friendly Place and thoroughly enjoyed it. We loved the creativity of the space, the props available and that we could come in the previous day to decorate. We loved the different areas in the building for different groups to congregate in- more fun areas, more chilled out areas etc. We could be creative in what we wanted to do, and there was always another corner to explore. Much more affordable in comparison to lots of other local wedding venues. Staff were helpful- we popped in for a visit before the wedding numerous times when we were planning for a walk through, and they answered all of our questions. Steph was great at answering any and all questions that we had, and Rash who acted as building manager/security guard on the day was really friendly and helpful to all of our guests. They can also refer you to great suppliers. I'd recommend this venue if you want to get creative and put your own spin on your wedding reception.

As soon as we saw this venue we knew it would be perfect for our civil partnership. It doesn't feel at all wedding farm like and it has a real charm. Each floor has its own feel and its a great place for people to explore (its huge!). We used the first floor for a kids soft play and had music and food downstairs and it felt like the perfect size for 120 guests. We'd highly reccomend it to anyone looking to host a party or wedding.

Communication was great and Steph was very accommodating of our needs. Rash is a legend, he's a great addition to any party! Everyone at the venue was really helpful and hospitable. We had loads of positive feedback from guests about how perfect the venue was, we'd happily do it all again!

Cannot recommend OFP enough! We had our wedding here in March 2025 and Steph and the team were so accommodating from start to finish. The venue is so fun and unique and was perfect for our south east london wedding.
The "dry hire" aspect of the space seemed super daunting and first but Steph was so helpful with recommending local suppliers and giving us advice on how best use the venue. Special shout out to Dita Rosted (a Steph recommendation) who was a literal angel from heaven and helped us with staffing / stocking the bar and managing the event in the lead up to the day. Venue manager Rash was an absolute delight to deal with and was always available for when we wanted to pop in for venue viewings on short notice.
So many of our guests have commented on how awesome the space was, we are so glad we chose to have our big day here :)

We booked One Friendly Place for a 60th birthday party for 80 of our friends, which was recommended by our caterer, Klose + Soan, who are also local. The venue is amazing - and we only used half of it, but it still felt intimate enough, and gave us plenty of space for a reception, food and dancing. The quirkiness of the space, its props and flexibility of the spaces just perfectly suited our own tastes and those of our friends. Steph recommended Dita Rosted to do the party organising, dressing the space and making sure the whole event went so smoothly. Everyone loved it!

My wife and I held a joint anniversary party at One Friendly Place in September this year and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience for all the right reasons!
From the get-go I don't think we could have received a more personable, accommodating and responsive support from venue. Steph, the manager (& our main point of contact) was fabulous and understood our needs from the outset. We were allowed to visit the venue on multiple occasions prior to the event and received invaluable guidance when organising the staff, catering and entertainment (which is a big undertaking for the uninitiated). Also, importantly, we were given the time and scope to create the right set-up on the day of the party. The venue staff were extremely helpful (Rash in particular) and not at all precious, allowing us to re-arrange furniture add decor to create the right setting appropriate for our party. This accommodation carried through into the evening with the provision of friendly, unobtrusive security staff, allowing us to create a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
Last but not least, the venue itself is totally unique. An old Victorian warehouse spread over multiple floors with an eclectic collection of vintage furniture and props, providing a distinctive charm and allowing a creative mind to have a field-day in setting up for a party.
What really sealed it for us was the positive feedback we received from many of our friends after the party. All of them complimented us on the extraordinary venue, many of whom lived locally and didn't know it existed. Truly a hidden gem.

I couldn't recommend One Friendly Place enough. It is such a fun and interesting space, with lots of nooks and crannies which make for a unique and memorable event. It's also a very flexible space so is perfect for a big party (we had around 120 people in the end). The team are brilliant and were super helpful throughout the planning process and the day itself.

My experience was great. The venue is super cool - really quirky. So many guests commented on how fabulous it was! Good transport links too. Great space - over 3 floors means people can spread out a bit and can create ‘zones’.
Venue very accommodating on access both before and on the day. Provided good list of local contacts for stuff like catering, lighting etc.
Space for dance floor is plentiful.
