The Okeover Arms is a charming, 18th-century, Grade II listed building and family-run venue that caters to all visitors, including dogs and children. Nestled on the edge of the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District, within easy travelling distance of Alton Towers, Carsington Water, Bakewell, Buxton and Matlock Bath, this enchanting property offers the perfect backdrop for bespoke wedding celebrations. The historic market town of Ashbourne is only a 5-minute drive away.
With a rustic yet modern atmosphere, you'll feel right at home as soon as you step through our doors. Indulge in the finest food and drink crafted from locally sourced produce, offering a delightful fusion of traditional English & Asian inspired flavours. Serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner, there's always something to tantalise your taste buds. Our spacious pub boasts a cosy log fireplace at either end, creating an intimate ambience ideal for special occasions or gatherings.
The Okeover Arms also has a large outdoor seating area along with a children's play area, where you can enjoy a refreshing drink and delicious food while overlooking the scenic countryside views we are surrounded by.

Best day of our lives!!
When I say from the start, I really mean from the day we booked the venue. The payment structure, food tasting and menu choices, accommodation, and working within our budget, you name it, they made it completely stress-free.
People always say getting married is one of the most stressful things you’ll ever do. I can honestly say that wasn’t the case for us! It was a genuine pleasure from beginning to end, full of excitement and supported by genuinely wonderful people who knew exactly what we wanted and even more.
We had just over 100 guests and everything was perfect. The marquee, the dance floor, and the food (plenty of it too!) were amazing. The rooms were also perfect, and the views around the venue are beautiful, perfect for capturing your big day.
They have three onsite rooms with the most stunning views. If you need more accommodation, there are plenty of hotels and B&Bs in the nearby town of Ashbourne, just a short taxi ride away. They even sorted breakfast for those guests as well!
You name it, they can sort it. As soon as we arrived on the day, everyone knew exactly what to do. We were never waiting for anything, never had to chase anyone, and never had to ask questions… well, not until I’d had a few drinks and forgot the time! 🤣🤣
I would recommend this place 1000 times over. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better place, better venue, better people, or better hosts. This review doesn’t even do it justice because there really aren’t enough words to describe how incredible it was.
All I can say is thank you to everyone who made our day feel like a magical dream come true. We will be forever truly grateful.
