We had our wedding at Mollington Banastre Hotel, and it was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we visited for the first time, we were struck by the charm of the venue – a perfect mix of character and elegance set in peaceful countryside just minutes from Chester city centre.

What really stood out was the staff. Every single person we dealt with was friendly, professional, and genuinely excited to be part of our special day. The wedding coordinator was phenomenal – he listened to everything we wanted and made it all happen effortlessly, keeping us calm and smiling throughout.

The hotel grounds are beautiful. The layout worked brilliantly – guests were able to flow between the indoor spaces and the garden.

The food was delicious, well timed, and beautifully presented. We also received so many compliments from our guests on how well-organized the day felt – everything ran like clockwork, but never felt rushed.

We stayed in the bridal suite, which was lovely and gave us a quiet space to unwind after the celebrations. Having so many of our friends and family stay over made the whole weekend feel extra special as we all had breakfast the next morning.

We honestly wouldn’t change a thing. If you're considering Mollington Banastre for your wedding, don’t hesitate, they are sweet.

We recently held our wedding at the Mollington Banastre Hotel in Chester, and we couldn't be happier with our experience! From start to finish, everything was handled with warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail.

The venue itself is absolutely charming – a beautiful historic building with large gardens that made for gorgeous photo opportunities. The ceremony room was intimate and elegant, and the reception space was tastefully decorated to our exact preferences.

A special mention must go to the hotel team, who went above and beyond to ensure every part of the day ran smoothly. They were always on hand to answer questions, accommodate last-minute changes, and make sure we felt relaxed and supported throughout the planning process and on the big day itself.

The food was great – beautifully presented and delicious, with plenty of options for all dietary needs. Many of our guests commented on how impressed they were, not just with the food but with the overall experience.

The onsite accommodation was a huge plus. It meant that many of our guests could stay the night and enjoy a leisurely breakfast the next morning, which really helped extend the celebrations.

Our wedding day was everything we hoped it would be and more – a day we will treasure forever!

This could be a long one! I'm so grateful to everyone at the mollington banastre for everything, my day went so smoothly and I couldn't have asked for more.

The hotel itself is GORGEOUS it has so much character, and a really chill but sophisticated vibe. The gardens in the back really made it for me, even though it was a bit wet the grounds staff were out the day before the wedding trimming hedges and cutting the grass, it it just looked superb!

I'd like to thank Fintan, who was out point of contact through the whole planning process, he has a great sense of humour and was brilliant to work with.
From the very beginning he was very responsive to my many many emails and calls (as we don't live local to Chester). Everything was so easy to plan and having Fintan there really took out A LOT of the stress of planning.
On the day he was just fab. He made sure everything ran smoothly, he was in contact with my photographer and other suppliers to make sure everything ran according to schedule, and I didn't have to lift a finger! He was brilliant.

Amit was brilliant in the planning process, we paid in installments and he was very responsive to any emails and making sure everything was covered. When I arrived at the venue he and a couple of other staff helped me to carry on all of the decorations and helped in any way they could to set up the room, honestly brilliant service and I felt so looked after!

Other members of staff (I'm so sorry I can't remember everyone's names!) were just brilliant. The bar staff worked tirelessly to make sure everyone had a drink, they were friendly and just so much fun, they really helped making sure everyone was in a good mood with their happy attitudes, and bless them I don't think they sat down once! Honestly great guys and a credit to the hotel.

The reception staff were fab too! We had quite a bit of moving around the day before the wedding, on top of all the guests, but they were just ON IT, really friendly and worked tirelessly to make sure the check ins went smoothly, as well as dealing with any other issues. They were brilliant.

The chef/ kitchen staff OH MY WORD. we stayed at the hotel for 5 nights as we aren't local, and every meal we had there was AMAZING. even breakfast was SO GOOD with lots of choice. But the wedding breakfast was PERFECT. so many people complimented the food, we went for the pork loin and apricot stuffing, words don't do it justice, it was one of the best meals I've ever had.

The day went so smoothly and it couldn't have happened without the amazing staff, everyone involved worked like a well oiled machine, I didn't have to worry about a thing, right from the moment I booked the venue, everything was in safe hands. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff are so friendly. Oh. And there's a pool!
I couldn't fault a thing with this venue and I highly recommend you go for a look around if you have the chance.
Definitely take a look at their packages, as everything is included in the price, use of the venue, the meals, welcome drinks, the bridal suite on the wedding night, they even have decorations to use for centerpieces.

We had our wedding October 19. Everything went smoothly on the day. Staff were brilliant... friendly and helpful. Food was amazing.
On lead up to the wedding I felt so supported by Clive and Melissa nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful grounds, beautiful venue. Discounted rooms for friends and family.

We had our wedding here in August 2019 it was honestly the best day and nothing was to much trouble for the staff and the venue the gardens are stunning and our pictures were amazing if was a gorgeous hot day so made them even better, the food was lovely all our guests comment on how lovely the food and the day was really recommend this hotel as a function venue.

Nothing was too much trouble in the run up to the wedding and everything was handled very smoothly. Both Fintan and the team are amazing and couldn’t do enough for us.

Thank you for everything you did during the year or so of our wedding planning. We couldn’t help but feel we that at times we were inundating you with e-mails and phone-calls, particularly as the big day approached, but you always took the time to help us emerge from moments of panic feeling calm, focused and reassured. In particular, and given the difficulties we encountered with our initial photographer and florist, thank you for pulling a rabbit out of the hat and dropping Lucy and Amanda right into our laps! When we combine that with the good fortune of Baxter & Ted being able to attend, we feel like we ended up with something of a dream team of suppliers, and they all fit our vision for the day perfectly. None of this would have been possible if you hadn’t been so thorough in your efforts to investigate and appreciate exactly what we wanted for the day.

As well as a huge thank you to you Fintan, we also need to praise Clive who amongst all the others who worked tirelessly to make sure that everything was how we had imagined, and without all of your staff’s dedication, our special day would not have been so perfect.

We must mention that the food was divine, and despite our difficult request of a vintage style afternoon tea, your catering team did a perfect job, with every item being of the upmost quality.

Presentation of all of the food was exactly how we had imagined it all those months ahead, and it helped to create a sense that ours was no ordinary wedding.

It is true what they say that you need to make the most of the day, as it goes by so quickly, and before we knew it everyone had left, and they day was over.
It was so difficult to say goodbye to the most perfect day, and to accept that it was now just a lovely memory.

Having found the Mollington after going a google search we just had to see the venue in person and we were not disappointed – the venue is wonderful and the whole team looked after our family so well! Cant wait to come back for our anniversary.

People often ask us what was the best part about our wedding day and for both of us the best part about the day was that we didn’t worry about anything. Fintan and Clive work very closely with the vendors they recommend and for good reason. Their operation is smooth and slick, the co-ordination they have with their staff and vendors is amazing and we have both worked in the hospitality industry for years. It was an incredible feeling to know that we could relax and enjoy our day knowing everything was going smoothly and our guests were all enjoying themselves. We never had to keep track of time, Fintan was there making sure everything was running smoothly and on time.

Just a quick note to say thank you so much for all your hard work in making our wedding the best day of our lives. It would not have been possible without you all. Every last detail was perfect and ( as far as we knew ?? ) there was not 1 little hiccup!!
