Myself and my Husband Tom got married at Milwards estate on 15/08/2024 and I would 100% recommend them, amazing venue and amazing staff, Clare and Maria were so relaxed which made me feel relaxed and just so helpful the whole way through planning and on the day, honestly amazing people! 💕

Had an amazing experience with Milwards. Clare, Maria and Chris are all amazing. Clare and Maria are on hand answering emails with whatever questions leading up to the event and Chris did an amazing set as DJ that got everyone on the dancefloor all night. The grounds are beautiful and the marquee is so nice you don't even need to add any extra decoration (fairy lights, disco ball, etc). 100% recommend. Down to earth and also the cats, dogs and ducks are always around to say hello!

The second we found Milwards, we knew that we had found our dream wedding venue. The location is utterly perfect and our guests couldn’t believe we’d found such a gem in the heart of the Sussex countryside within our budget!

We were lucky to have perfect weather on our big day, but the venue is full of so much character that we would have loved it even if it had rained. There are so many cute spots for photos, so many lovely areas for guests to explore and mingle in, and of course the fantastic marquee, bar and dancefloor. We loved that it was a blank canvas that we could add our personality to, but at the same time didn’t require much work to look stunning.

Claire and Maria were amazing from day one and answered all of our questions quickly, provided tips and ideas, and were just generally wonderful all the way through. Chris DJ’ed for us and helped to ensure that the dance floor remained in action all night long!

Milwards was our perfect venue and we cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you so much Claire, Chris, Maria and all the team for helping to make our dream wedding a reality!

Nothing is too much. They are running a family business and put their everything into ensuring their clients have the best day possible.
The venue itself is picturesque and if you’re lucky enough to get the sunshine we did, it is absolutely perfect for an outdoor wedding. (We haven’t got our professional photos yet but have attached some that our guests took!) The venue is licensed to perform legal ceremonies both outside, and at an indoor location.
The marquee is a permanent structure with a proper floor, full bar, electricity and dance floor. We set up the day before in high winds and rain and it barely moved - no flapping sides and certainly not a leak to be found! The marquee has a kitchen at the back so that your caterer has plenty of space to get your meal prepared. There are fridges available to use, several sinks, a dedicated barbecue space just outside, and an oven which can be hired.
We didn’t utilised the space inside the actual house, but the ceremony room inside is also very beautiful with a feature, twisted fireplace that you can utilise for photos in the colder/wetter months.
The price is very reasonable compared to similar venues. You do have to use the bar at the venue and can’t BYO, but the bar is reasonably priced, fully stocked, and it saved us having to think about that side of things.
We utilised the outside space by having our ceremony, welcome drinks, afternoon tea, lawn games and photos outside from 11:00-16:30. There is lots to look at, little walks you can do around the lakes, duck spotting and by bringing our own games and setting them up in an area away from the marquee meant those that wanted a bit of competition could be kept separate from those that wanted to sit on a mat by the lake enjoying a drink and a mingle.
The venue provided a microphone for speeches and was happy to play the music playlists we provided throughout the day. There is the option of booking their DJ who was very accommodating and happy to change the music when it moved away from our taste!
It really was the perfect venue and I couldn’t recommend it more. Lovely people and setting.

The most amazing venue. Absolutely stunning. But it was the staff that made the day. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Everything thought of down to the very last detail. If you're thinking of booking this place don't think twice. Book it. You won't regret it for a minute.

We got married here on Saturday (9th July) and had the most perfect day The venue is stunning with space for people to roam the grounds and take amazing photos. The marquee is a fantastic size and is a complete blank canvas to make your day your own. The ceremony room is small and intimate so everyone feels closely involved in the special day. And finally the staff....wow! They went above and beyond to make the day run smoothly for everyone. Everything ran seamlessly and every hiccup sorted without any stress. Honestly, have your wedding here- it was just incredible.

We had our wedding at Milwards on 16th July, and we honestly cannot thank Claire and her lovely team enough for ensuring we had the most amazing, perfect wedding day possible. Even when we had a minor hiccup on the day with one of the suppliers, Claire and the team were calm and prepared to do whatever was needed to keep the day running smoothly.
As for the venue itself, stunning hardly does it justice. Our guests absolutely loved the beautiful ceremony room, marquee and huge grounds; and loved exploring by the lake and trees. We really couldn't have asked for better. Thank you so much for everything!

Massive thank you to Clare, her husband, Maria and all the staff at Milwards Estate. We chose Milwards as our wedding venue as it was a beautiful setting, extremely laid back and just what we had in mind for our special day.
All staff at Milwards were very attentive and on hand to help wherever required. Very thankful to Clare's husband for finding me a safety pin when needed and clare for trying to fix my shoes that unfortunately we're giving me some problems.
I would definitely recommend Milwards Estate to anyone.
