Cannot recommend Low Hall enough!!
Low Hall the Lakes was that absolute best wedding venue we could've dreamt of for our wedding. From the moment we first drove up the beautiful driveway and spotted the stunning farmhouse and barn, we knew this place had something special about it, and that feeling never left us. The whole venue, from the gorgeous house where we and our family could stay, to the traditional barn and absolutely beautiful gardens, really felt like home in the very best way. We wanted and informal and relaxed vibe for our day and the atmosphere at Low Hall was just spot on.
Beyond the idyllic location, what really makes Low Hall special is the people - Francesca, Ben, Rosie, Sally and the rest of the team are all the nicest people you could meet. They were so professional, we knew everything was always in the safest of hands, but they also just felt like our new best friends! From the amazing breakfasts Ben cooked for our family, to Rosie's efforts climbing a ladder to ensure my draping vision could come to life, nothing was ever too much trouble and they all went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Low Hall has hosted many, many weddings and their extensive experience shines through, but at the same time, they never lose their personal touch and still make every single couple feel so special.
The chance to have exclusive use of the venue from the day before your wedding until the morning after, and to use the barn for a welcome party for guests the night before if you wish, really sold it to us. We visited some other venues that felt much more like a 'wedding production line', but Low Hall is completely the opposite. You are truly treasured and valued throughout the whole process and there are so many options to use the different spaces around the venue however you wish that each couple can create such a unique and individual day.
The team's communication was faultless right from the start, all questions were answered straight away and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. As well as venue hosts, the whole team doubled as wedding coordinators on the day, ensuring everything ran seamlessly and were always there whenever we needed anything.
Francesca, Ben, Rosie, Sally - we honestly can't thank you enough for everything you did to create our most special, fairytale day. We just wish it could've lasted for longer! -

Ben, Francesca, Rosie and all of the team were unbelievably kind, organised, and thoughtful. They made our day so special by making sure everything was running smoothly not only on the day but leading up to the day by helping with planning. This is a beautiful location, perfect venue and we were made to feel at home. Couldn’t recommend highly enough! -

Low Hall is an incredibly special place in the most beautiful setting. From the first time visiting in January 2025 we were made to feel totally welcome and at home by Rochelle, Ben and Francesca.
Our wedding day in August 2025 was totally stress free thanks to their fantastic coordination and support. Having multiple ceremony options and a solid bad weather plan was ideal, not that we needed it. The backdrop of the fells behind us as we got married was perfection. The barn itself works so well, with different areas for those who want to be in the thick of the party and those that want to have a quieter sit down. Being able to stay on site with our bridesmaids and best men made for a full weekend event and an incredible relaxed wedding morning with no travel needed at all.
We could not have wished for a better venue or team for our wedding. Low Hall really do go above and beyond. -

Choosing Low Hall as our venue was, without a doubt, the best decision we made in relation to our wedding. The venue and location are absolutely stunning, with beautiful mountain backdrops. There is a choice of ceremony spaces, both outdoor and indoor, and the flexibility to make a final decision on this (weather dependent) on the morning of the wedding. The team, Francesca, Ben and Rosie are the loveliest people you could hope to work with to plan your big day; attentive, knowledgeable and great fun! They worked with us to create the perfect day and to talk through the various options and their experience of what works well. The space worked perfectly for our big day with plenty of different areas for activities. We also loved the flexibility that we were allowed to choose food and drinks external to the venue. The team recommended various suppliers to us and we used a number of these and couldn’t have rated them more highly. Low Hall is a truly incredible wedding venue - there is magic in this place! -

Words cannot explain how beautiful Low Hall The Lakes is… We booked it without viewing it for our small wedding, and we have had the best time ever. The venue is just amazing, and pictures do not give it justice. Francesca, Ben and the team are so attentive and ensured we had the most amazing wedding day, just like we imagined (if not better!!)
Our wedding was very small, with just 9 of us in total. We had a 2 night stay in the farmhouse. Everyone was very happy with the rooms, breakfast and the venue in general. Our wedding ceremony was in the woodlands and since it was the beginning of May, we’ve had bluebells surrounding us, making it even more magical. After the ceremony, we went off on a hike with our photographer Joe Mather to Rannerdale Knotts whilst our guests stayed at the venue. They were very well taken care of, and they surely had a lot of fun without us! After the hike, we’ve had wedding breakfast in the library catered by Smoke and Steel and the table set up done by the Low Hall team was gorgeous!
Francesca and Ben have also organised our flowers for us, which was a huge help! I have to say, Harriet (the florist) has done an outstanding job and my bouquet was to die for.
We could go on and on about how great everything was.. We highly recommend Low Hall The Lakes to anyone, big or small wedding, It’s just the perfect place.

From the moment we arrived at Low Hall for our first viewing, and met Francesca, we knew we’d found the place we wanted to get married. The venue is magnificently beautiful, but quietly so - not intimidating or overwhelming, just effortlessly nailing every little detail and letting the Cumbrian landscape speak for itself. From the gardens brimming with colour, to the barn steeped in original rustic detail, to the quaintest of farmhouses, Low Hall emanates warmth and charm. The team take the venue to another level: calm, accommodating, infinitely organised, and totally reassuring. We felt like we’d know them for years! On the wedding day itself, Low Hall staff managed everything to perfection without ever being intrusive, proactively managing our slipping timeline, and generally keeping us and our guests happy and comfortable from morning ‘til night. Could not recommend highly enough. -

A Truly Magical, Stress-Free Wedding Experience We’ll Never Forget
From the very beginning, our experience with this wedding venue was nothing short of incredible. Having exclusive access to both the venue and its beautiful grounds on our special day made everything feel so intimate and personal.
A special mention has to go to Francesca, Ben, Rosie, Rochelle, and the rest of the team. They are truly exceptional, warm, friendly, and so dedicated to making your day perfect. By the time our wedding weekend arrived, it honestly felt like we were being looked after by a group of friends or family. The entire experience on our wedding day was seamless and completely stress free. Even leading up to our wedding day the Low Hall team were diligent at answering question and helping with changes.
We’re already looking forward to returning for future events and anniversaries. If you’re looking for an authentic, heartfelt wedding experience with a team that genuinely cares, this is the venue for you. We would book it again in a heartbeat!
