Facilities and Capacity
Kinkell Byre offers an array of romantic rooms to host various aspects of your wedding celebration. Up to 450 guests can be comfortably accommodated within the venue, allowing you to host all of your friends and family at your occasion. There is a delightful entranceway that provides the perfect spot to greet guests and serve welcome drinks. Your ceremony can be held under a starlight canopy composed of twinkling fairy lights in the ceremony room. Afterwards, guests can transition to the Long Shed for a relaxed drinks reception. This space features beautiful stone walls, comfortable furnishings, and a built-in bar. Your wedding breakfast and evening reception can be hosted in the Main Dining Room, which provides a warm and inviting atmosphere for parties. This historic barn is a blank canvas venue that can be easily transformed to suit various styles, needs, and wedding visions. The Ultimate Fairytale Wedding
Kinkell Byre was truly the most wonderful wedding venue. It was actually the only venue we viewed as we knew it was absolutely perfect the minute we stepped foot in. We loved being able to choose which suppliers we could have on our special day, it allowed us to properly customise the day to make it feel very us. Although a blank canvas venue may feel intimidating, Kinkell provide an extensive list of excellent suppliers, to help build your special day. On top of this list, the team come with years of experience to help guide and advise in the lead up to the wedding. They were always just a phone call or email away. The setting was absolutely perfect. Set on the coast, with stunning gardens, beautiful glamping cabins (where the bridal party actually got ready in) - the place is perfect for a real Scottish wedding! I think the photos of Kinkell speak for themselves, but Kinkell Byre truly is a magical venue. We can't wait to come back and stay in the cabins for our 1 year anniversary. Thank you Kinkell!

Very attentive from start to finish!
Kinkell is a beautiful blank canvas that you can either leave in its natural beauty or make your own for the day. We had looked at quite a few different venues before we went to see Kinkell as we both initially had a different vision for the venue which meant we wanted to look at both and decide what would be best for us collectively. We looked at Castles and other barn venues but there was a lot of restrictions on suppliers and for some venues hidden costs.
Kinkell is a “what you see is what you get” venue with the freedom and support to make your day exactly how you want it. Some examples that may seem small but played a huge role in our decision was the fact we could allow our guests a choice of different food options on the day, that we could use any supplier to decorate the venue to bring our vison to life. The venue is so beautiful inside that if it was raining, we could still have amazing pictures inside. Until we looked and spoke to venues, we had no clue that some would have so many restrictions on certain areas. With that said this means more work looking for and organising suppliers but we honestly think that additional workload was worth it.
These were some of the many things that Kinkell would let us have our day reflecting on us, rather than a generic wedding day. The team at Kinkell were also very attentive, supportive and were always on hand to help. Even the day before and on our day, we had someone there keeping us calm and everyone right. They even took photos and videos for us to look at the next day which was honestly such a lovely surprise and addition to have! You can tell the team are invested and genuinely care, not once were we made to feel like an inconvenience, and they kept in touch before the wedding. Nothing was too much hassle and they kept suppliers right who arrived on the day as to how we wanted things set up.

Brilliant Day at a Brilliant Venue
Kinkell was honestly our dream venue. A fantastic venue in an amazing location, backed up by the most helpful staff you could ever ask for.

The team were a huge part of a special day!!
We can't recommend Kinkell Byre and the team there highly enough. From the moment we went for the show around to the weeks following our wedding they were nothing but kind and helpful. The venue itself is stunning and the addition of the cabins make it perfect for wedding guests. You have pretty much free reign to decorate there but you don't need to do much to bring the barn to life, the twinkly lights and exposed brick and beams look incredible just as they are. But you can see all that from the pictures. The hidden treasure at Kinkell Byre is the team - they were amazing. All of them!! They dealt with my (probably 100s of) emails asking questions and checking things in the weeks up to the wedding so quickly and always helpfully. Nothing was too much trouble and they really helped make our day go smoothly without us even knowing they were there. As someone who chose not to spend on a wedding planner, having them there to help us along the way was invaluable.

The perfect venue for a perfect day!
The team at Kinkell Byre were absolutely fantastic at every step of our wedding planning process - from our earliest enquiries to the day itself. As we live in London, we weren't able to visit much in the run up to the wedding (in fact just twice - once for Liane to see the venue herself, and once for the rehearsal), however the team made sure that we had all the information we needed to plan and liaise with suppliers, and the whole process ran incredibly smoothly. The beauty of a venue like Kinkell where you have pretty much a blank canvas was a real highlight for us, as it meant we could make our day really unique and incorporate lots of personal elements and touches to our ceremony and the space itself. The wedding day was unseasonably warm for early September, but the team were cool as cucumbers and really outdid themselves. They helped to coordinate all the suppliers and keep us on time with almost no input from us, meaning we could enjoy ourselves to the fullest, safe in the knowledge that everybody was being well looked after. We really can't thank Sophie, Clare, Julia and team enough for being such a big part of this special day - it was better than we could have ever hoped or imagined!
PS: Hopefully we'll pop back for a visit soon, and say hello to Coco, Ginger and their new friends!

Our dream wedding day!
We had our wedding at Kinkell Byre in August 2023, and it was the best decision we made. As soon as we viewed the venue, we knew we had to host our wedding here. Sandy and his team are amazing, and they were so patient and understanding during the Covid period where we had to postpone. Our guests were blown away, and it was the perfect blank canvas for us to bring our vision for our wedding to life. It was important that we had a space where we could reflect both our Scottish and Indian cultures (as well as cater for a large number of guests!) and Kinkell Byre surpassed all of our expectations. A particular thank you to Claire and Sophie who both made sure that our day was the most special day of our lives. They took the stress out of everything, were so responsive to all of our emails and questions, and also made us feel like no task was too big. Kinkell has a personal family feel with a team who are able to achieve exceptional professional standards. Stevie also did a brilliant job of the lighting and the compèring on the day. Stevie has exacting standards too and his attention to detail is impeccable - we couldn’t be happier with the lighting, and also how he ran the day so smoothly. The team at Kinkell genuinely care, and it comes across in everything that they do. Thank you to everyone at Kinkell Byre for making our wedding day the best day of our lives. The Chauhans.

Dream Wedding Venue!
Fantastic venue, fantastic staff. Made our day so special and so easy. Catered to all our needs from a crazy Italian feast to a frozen margarita machine! Thanks to all who were involved.

The PERFECT wedding venue
We can't thank Kinkell Byre enough for our wedding day. The barn itself is so flexible, you can really do whatever you want to suit your style and taste. The staff were fantastic, big thank you to Sophie for always being on hand, she was there for every little question along the way.

The wedding venue of our dreams!
Kinkell Byre was the absolute venue of our dreams and exceeded expectations massively on our big day. Being able to put our own stamp on it and the amazing effort the team all put throughout in made the day and run-up unbelievably good! The day went in a flash but we managed to pack so much in and the Kinkell team all made it run so so seamlessly - an amazing job dealing with suppliers, timings etc. which allowed us to fully enjoy ourselves!
We visited Kinkell in Oct 2020 - 2 weeks after our engagement and Sophie gave us the two tours over the weekend. She was so so friendly and knowledgeable and gave us a good initial feeling about the venue- we had it booked 2 days after! It was also the first and only venue we viewed in person!
The Kinkell team were absolute superstars, both answering my many emails with LOTS of queries. Nothing seemed too much hassle and they always responded super quick! A massive help was also Claire on the day who was like my third bridesmaid! Sorting my veil, decorating the cake, feeding me Prosecco when I was freaking out before going down the aisle and making sure we were ready for key photos/timings like the sparkler shot! Tegan was fab as well who had the not so lovely job of tidying up post-party and gathering our items for an easy pop in the car on Sunday.
The venue itself is absolutely stunning, we found nowhere else near comparable. Spoilt for choice with so many beautiful spots for photos too. We chose Kinkell as we knew if we weren’t blessed with Scottish sunshine we would still get fab photos - luck was on our side and we were able to get photos in the orchard, against the red barn doors, the sea backdrop and by the golf course.
It was such an amazing day we’ll never forget. I would highly recommend Kinkell to all future brides and grooms looking for a stunning barn venue to put their own stamp on!

Wonderul destintation wedding at Kinkell Byre!
We met in St Andrews but live in North America and wanted to return to Scotland to get married. A friend recommended the Kinkell Byre to us and we booked it sight unseen for our destination wedding. This turned out to be a wonderful decision. The venue was beautiful and spacious. The location on the coast is stunning and easy to reach from St Andrews. The staff were extremely helpful in the process (going above and beyond to meet with us online to go over small details, show us the venue, and put us at ease in connection with other suppliers like the caterers we booked), especially given that we arranged everything from abroad. They treated us very kindly during the rehearsal, on the big day, and the day after. Our guests were really impressed with the venue and everyone had a blast! We have no regrets with the Kinkell Byre, just excellent memories and great satisfaction with how our wedding was orchestrated at the Byre. We would love to come back and look forward to doing so!

A venue made for weddings
We planned our wedding from Australia so it could have been a really stressful process but the team at Kinkell Byre made it all so easy. The team are friendly, professional and highly organised and have a roster of excellent suppliers who know the venue inside out. The venue is so charming, offering incredible views, a beautiful orchard garden and if the weather doesn't behave, the interiors are all stunning too. We really loved that we could hold our ceremony at the Kinkell Byre too and that the inside and outdoor spaces provided a lot of contrast for our guests & photographer throughout the day/night. Simply wonderful!

Incredible wedding venue!
We had the most incredible wedding day at Kinkell! The setting is truly beautiful and it made for such a unique backdrop to our special day, showcasing Scotland at its finest. The venue itself is wonderful and we were able to create exactly the style we wanted. The team at Kinkell are superb! They really helped take away the stressful parts of wedding planning and were wholeheartedly committed to ensuring we had the best wedding day. Despite many weddings taking place there, we were made to feel so valued and it was a very personal experience!

Beautiful venue who gave amazing, professional support
We held our wedding at Kinkell Byre in 2022. We had to delay our wedding by a year due to Covid and everyone at Kinkell couldn’t have been more helpful or supportive. The space is amazing and so flexible. The suppliers recommended were excellent. We had such a memorable day, and because the space is so flexible we were able to make it truly unique to us. We would highly recommend Kinkell Byre for a beautiful venue.

The most amazing venue/team!
Kinkell was the dream wedding venue! We worked with Sophie and Claire to have the best weekend with all of our guests! All of the guests said how beautiful our venue was! Could not recommend Kinkell enough!
