Where do we start…
Right from the very moment we set foot onto the site at Pratis Barns I knew we had found the perfect venue to host our wedding, but little did I know just standing in the car park looking out over the sea and the surrounding grounds how perfect it actually was.
We had the greatest pleasure to be shown around the venue by Louise, who in my opinion is one of the best people and wedding coordinators you could ever hope to meet.
She is an absolute credit to this incredible venue.
Stepping into the stable with all those rustic features and twinkling lights was just the very start of our love for Pratis and the team there that care for you throughout your wedding planning journey.
From the stable onto the shed with Louise guiding us the excitement was just over flowing, between us all we discussed our vision and we knew we had found a kindred spirit in Louise. As we spoke of what we were hoping to achieve, right before our eye’s Louise was bringing every possibility and dream into reality with amazing input & suggestions.
When we reached the Byre I couldn’t contain myself any more and the tears started flowing. We had found it, this was it, this was our wedding venue and together with Louise we set the date.
Following on from there we had the best support to every question and idea we had throughout the whole process.

When it came time to attend the Feast night for food tasting we were utterly blown away by the food and attention to detail that Patrick & his team create. Patrick is hands down one of the best chefs we have ever had the good fortune to meet. His ideas and menu notes were so helpful to us in creating the best feast for our guests. It was also incredibly important to us to use as much local produce as possible and as huge supporters of local suppliers Patrick and the team were able to make us the best wedding meal we could ever have wished for.

When the day of arrival finally came and it was time to prep the venue we were again met by Louise who was there throughout the day lending a hand, giving us helpful suggestions and tips of what we could add to our set up to make it even better from the Wonder Room.

On the day of the wedding itself I can’t describe the feeling of calm and excitement I had knowing that everything was being taken care of exactly as we planned by Louise, Patrick and all incredible team at Pratis, including all the amazing bar staff & waiters.

I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Pratis Barns & the incredible team there to any future couple looking for the wedding venue of their dreams.

We got married at Pratis Barns in September 2025 & couldn't have asked for a better day. It was the perfect venue! 🩷 We first found Pratis online when looking for venues and it ticked every box for us. When viewing we instantly knew it was absolutely the right venue for our big day. The team were so warm and it really is a space you can do anything with. The Wonder Room filled with decor to use was the cherry on the top for us - such a fantastic idea!! Our guests are still telling us what a beautiful venue it is.

Louise, Kelly & the team were great on the lead up to our big day and kept us right.

On the day itself Kelly went above and beyond - helping us set up the day before and supporting us on the day. She calmed our nerves before the ceremony and was a star throughout! The day ran absolutely seamlessly thanks to her and the whole team.

The food was fantastic! Patrick and team were excellent, especially with family members and friends who had allergies.

The house was a dream to have over the weekend. Such a stunning place to get ready but also super comfortable to unwind the following days after the wedding - we loved it!

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this venue to others - it was everything we wanted & more thanks to the wonderful team 🥰

We had our wedding at Pratis Barns and honestly… wow. We couldn’t have picked a more perfect venue. It’s such an epic space — ideal for our numbers and exactly the vibe we were after — with the most breathtaking views. AND the HOUSE! It was just the icing on the cake!

The food was absolutely next level (still talked about), and the whole experience from pre-booking right through to after the wedding was incredible. Every single question or request was met with so much care, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble.

So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and how much of an amazing time they had on the day — which says everything. Huge thanks to the Pratis team for creating such an unforgettable experience.

My beautiful wife and I were married at Pratis Barns in July 2025 and I cannot speak highly enough of the venue and team who made our wedding day everything we could have hoped for (and more). Louise, Nicola, Patrick and the entire Pratis team gave us the wedding of our dreams. The venue itself is absolutely stunning and every time we visited, it just got better and better. Pratis is constantly evolving and constantly being improved, which just shows the love and commitment Nicola and Patrick have to making sure it’s everything you could want. Nothing we asked was ever too much and there was always someone on the end of the phone to answer a question or make sure our wild ideas came to life. The Pratis team exceeded our expectations at every turn and made sure we had the most amazing stress free wedding day. And to top it all off, the food was absolutely incredible! To this day we receive compliments from our guests about how beautiful the venue was, how amazing the staff were and how good the food was. A truly incredible venue with an incredible team behind it and we cannot thank them enough!

Pratis Barns is an absolutely breathtaking venue for a wedding. From the beautiful, intimate barn to the walled garden with its views out to the sea, and the rustic and spacious dining and dancing area, every part of it feels magical.

While the setting itself was a huge draw for us, one of the main reasons we chose Pratis was because they truly provide everything; the venue, the incredible meal, various setup options, help with coordination for the day, and even the well-equipped house next door for the wedding party, which was ideal. It made planning so much easier knowing everything was handled by such an experienced team.

The Pratis team were super organised and we really appreciated all their guidance and support along the way. We also got to visit several times before the big day, including for the couples’ feast, where we tasted most of the menu — and the food was just outstanding!

On the day itself, everything ran seamlessly, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how delicious the food was and how gorgeous the venue looked. Having a place that does everything really took the stress out of it and allowed us to just enjoy the day.

We’re so grateful to the whole Pratis Barns team for all their hard work and care. They made our wedding day unforgettable, and we can’t recommend them and the venue highly enough!

Pratis have just been so good from start to finish. Nothing is a bother for them and are very approachable and understanding especially with a young family ourselves! The food was amazing annd hot! The service and running of the whole process since we booked has been second to none. We really couldn’t fault Pratis and the team! Can’t wait to return soon one day for some delicious food.

We cannot thank the team at Pratis Barns enough.
When we were initially looking for a venue for our wedding, we fell in love with Pratis as soon as we seen it. Little did we know that with Pratis, came an absolutely amazing team, making sure that every part of our day was perfect.
Louise was the wedding co-ordinator that we never knew we needed, and there is no way that we could have gotten through our day without her. The support alongside everything else from Lou was invaluable, so much so it felt like we had our best friend beside us right through the whole day.

The team went over and above to make sure that a huge surprise planned, was executed perfectly, and the attention to detail from the team was outstanding.
We celebrated all day, without a care or worry, and that was all down to the amazing staff members.

Special mention for Abbie and Bob, just because you guys are absolute diamonds!

My husband and I celebrated our wedding at Pratis Barns this summer, and we honestly can’t praise them highly enough. Living in Canada meant planning everything from overseas, but Nicola and Patrick guided us through each step with such care, ensuring every detail and request for our three-day celebration (a welcome party, wedding set-up day, and wedding day) was brought to life perfectly. The venue itself is breathtaking, the staff are exceptional, and the food was absolutely delicious, getting endless compliments from our guests. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to choose Pratis Barns for our big day.

From the first time we seen the venue to the day we got married we knew that this was the place for us. The weather, the location, the setting, the house, everything was absolutely perfect. The venue is absolutely stunning and the people behind it are a testament to that. Our coordinator, Kelly and the rest of the team could not have been more helpful throughout.

We didn't want a traditional wedding, we wanted a rustic, barn style wedding with great food and more of a celebration, and that is exactly what we were able to do here. We opted for a sharing platter style meal with pizzas, pastas and salads, finished off with the best tiramisu we have ever had. Patrick and the rest of the kitchen staff are incredible and were so helpful in curating our menu for the big day.

The house attached to the venue that can house your nearest and dearest for the weekend was such a brilliant thing to be able to offer as part of the package, it really adds another dimension to the whole experience of a wedding at Pratis Barns.

I sincerely hope we are able to come back one day as a guest and experience everything from the other side and truly get the full experience of pratis barns.

My wife & I absolutely loved our time here and cannot say enough good things about the venue and the staff that make everything possible.

Pratis was fabulous from start to finish. Our coordinator Louise was with us from our very first visit where she showed us around and let us know of any work that had been planned before our wedding date to give us an idea of what it would look like. Patrick and the catering team were amazing at creating a bespoke menu for us as we wanted something a bit more informal (a bbq and buffet) and this was incredible! Communication was great throughout the whole process and the Feast was a great way to have a menu tasting but also to speak to other couples and bounce ideas and ask questions to. On the wedding weekend, Louise was so accommodating and was on hand throughout the day to help answer questions or deal with any issues without bothering us. We had the best day and we cannot thank Louise and the team at Pratis enough. This is truly a stunning venue and I wouldn’t recommend Pratis enough!

We got married May 25 and what a day - what a weekend!

We searched for a venue for months with no luck, just not finding the vibe we wanted. As soon as we met Louise we knew Pratis Barns was the place for us!

Kelly was our coordinator and we felt in such safe hands from the moment of our check in on the Friday. Even though Pratis is a DIY venue we had so much help from the team all day. Abby was an absolute gem - she transformed the dining hall to our exact vision, as was Nicola who supported all weekend and helped a very stressed groom find the iron (it was where it was supposed to be).

Our day was a relaxed, festival vibe and everything went perfectly to plan and more. Our guests raved about the lawn games, beautiful setting and pretty much everyone said they had the best wedding meal ever, Patrick nailed it with the food at every turn!

We invited our guests back on the Sunday for pizza and ice cream. It was a chill family friendly day and we didn’t need to stress or plan at all - the team handled everything from providing an excellent outside speaker, setting up the lawn games again and rearranging our decor to fit for the Sunday.

Honestly the whole team were fantastic from start to finish, they understood everything we were looking for, kept the party going and we can’t thank them enough. Pratis house is also the perfect place stay over your wedding weekend, complete with cosy snug room in which to nurse hangovers and remember your special day afterwards!

Can’t recommend this venue enough - I can’t wait to come back for one of their many other events in years to come and re-live the magic.

We had the most unforgettable wedding at Pratis Barns, and we honestly can’t recommend this venue highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning setting. The barns themselves are beautifully restored, the grounds are absolutely breathtaking, rolling fields, charming stone walls, and panoramic views that made for the best photo backdrops.

But what truly set the day apart was the incredible team at Pratis. Every member of staff went above and beyond to make everything run seamlessly, with a calm professionalism and a genuinely friendly attitude that made us feel completely taken care of. Their attention to detail was second to none.

And the food, unbelievable. Our guests are still talking about it! Every dish and canapé was out of this world and not a single complaint from anyone. It felt like dining at a top restaurant, but in the middle of a relaxed, joy-filled celebration.

Pratis Barns is more than just a venue, it’s an experience. Staying in the house from Friday to Monday with our friends and family, also enjoying the best afterparty on the Sunday. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate our wedding. Thank you to the whole team for making our day so special!

Finally a huge special thank you to Louise, our incredible wedding coordinator. From our very first meeting, she made us feel like we’d known her for years. Warm, genuine, and always one step ahead. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and her fun, calming & reassuring presence meant we could fully relax and enjoy every moment. She truly went above and beyond to make our day perfect, and we’re so grateful to have had her by our side throughout the whole journey.

Pratis Barns is just a dream wedding venue. It is so picturesque, the views are incredible, and the staff are second to none. From the moment we booked our wedding with Pratis we were given so much support from Louise and Nicola, then latterly Kelly when she joined the team. They helped us plan our perfect day and it wouldn't have gone so smoothly if it wasn’t for them. The planning portal is amazing, it lets you keep a checklist so you don’t forget anything, and the list of recommended suppliers takes a huge weight off your shoulders when you are trying to find all of these incredible people to be part of your day. So many of our suppliers have worked with the Pratis team numerous times and they all commented on how great they are to work with.

We were able to have our perfect day with our dogs by our side thanks to Pratis being dog friendly. They also helped us surprise all of our guests with some additional, slightly larger fluffy guests - Highland Cows! My only complaint to Pratis from the get go has been that they do not have Coos on site, but they provided us with the details of To Have & To Fold and helped us arrange them whilst keeping it a surprise from all of our guests!

Pratis House is such an incredible additional to the venue, getting to stay on site for the whole weekend with your closest loved ones made our big day feel more like a big weekend instead of just a one day event. From getting in on Friday to setup and have your final planning meeting, then getting to just relax on Sunday after a quick tidy up, not having to worry about rushing away as we didn’t have to check out until Monday. This was definitely the seller for us when picking Pratis as our venue and it was everything we hoped for. As a bride it was great getting ready on site knowing once I was ready all I had to do was walk round to the ceremony barn, and at the end of the night once you have said goodbye to all of your guests, your bed is right there waiting on you!

The food. Wow. Patrick and his team are so good. It says a lot when your photographer keeps talking about how its his favourite venue as the food is so incredible, and how excited he was when we asked him to pick from our menu! The food was delicious, and that is coming from a very fussy eater. The team are also incredibly accommodating and helpful when it comes to allergies, for your bridal party and guests. The couple's feast back in November was an amazing day, an additional opportunity to see the venue again, plus getting to taste all of the incredible food. It did make narrowing down the menu a lot harder when it all tasted so good! During the reception, the canapés were a hit, and again the evening food, which we were able to pick and customise with Patrick beforehand went down a storm.

Overall, we could not recommend Pratis Barns for your wedding day enough. The whole weekend was perfect start to finish. We have received so many compliments from guests about the venue too, it was just gorgeous.
