The Weaving Shed, a stunning and unique wedding venue in Dundee that blends historic charm with a vintage industrial style. Located in the sympathetically repurposed Old Glamis Factory, our venue celebrates Dundee’s rich textile heritage. Once at the heart of the city’s historic textile industry, this iconic industrial space was a globally known fabric producer during the Arts and Crafts movement, producing decorative fabrics with innovative weaving techniques – some of which are proudly displayed at the V&A Dundee.

Our spacious ground-floor venue offers a flexible, open-plan layout that can be styled to match your vision, whether you dream of a rustic, vintage, or contemporary celebration. The natural flow of the space creates three distinct wedding areas:

• Ceremony Room – a beautiful, atmospheric space to say “I do.”
• Reception Drinks Area – with direct access to a charming outdoor area for mingling, photographs or food trucks.
• Wedding Breakfast & Evening Entertainment Space – perfect for dining, speeches, live music, and dancing.

A Relaxed Wedding Weekend
Your hire includes access from Friday, giving you and your suppliers time to set up décor and prepare everything exactly as you envision. After your wedding day, you’ll also have time on Sunday (and Monday) to collect your belongings and décor at a comfortable pace.

Handcrafted Tables & Seating
Your reception will be set with our beautiful handcrafted wooden tables and benches, individually made by venue owner Hamish. These unique pieces bring natural character to the space and create a warm, authentic setting for your celebration.

Sound System for Ceremony, Reception & Speeches
You’ll also have access to our PA system and microphones, making it easy for speeches to be heard clearly so every guest can share in those special moments.

We are delighted to be able to share a part of our historic but still functioning textile factory. Only available for a very limited number of industrial/barn-style weddings each year. It is a truly unique venue, with a number of handcrafted unique items included in the hire cost, which complement the style and character of the venue; these include our custom-made tables & benches & industrial dining chairs. Like everyone else looking for something a bit different, you will love it.
