it was always going to be the weaving shed for us! from just seeing photos online we knew we wanted to get married here, and seeing it in person just sealed the deal. it’s the coolest and best kept secret in the tayside area.

hamish, helena and their team were so helpful and welcoming, so chilled and down to earth which i think is a rare quality in the wedding industry and really helped us be certain that they were the team for us.

the venue is magical, so unassuming from the outside but you step into this amazing space that hosted our 150 guests perfectly. we loved that there’s no turnover of rooms, there’s dedicated spaces for each part of your day, including plenty room for extras such as their pool table and we added a soft play area and photo booth. you can really make the weaving shed what you want it to be, it can take it all.

on our day the service was seamless, cocktails were a highlight and nothing was a bother for them. they worked together perfectly with our vendors and truly made our day so relaxed and easy. we had so many compliments from both guests and vendors.

we reused the ceremony room for our couples photos and it was perfect. there is amazing lighting and the warmth of the brick with the softness of the fabrics was just perfect.

we honestly cannot recommend the weaving shed and hamish and helena enough, they are such genuine people who deserve all the success their venue is having. we feel so lucky to have been married here and recommend everyone to check it out.

We ended up hosting our wedding reception at The Weaving Shed after our initial venue let us down and with only 8 days between the booking and our wedding day they REALLY pulled it out the bag.

We had the most perfect day at The Weaving Shed and feel so strongly that everything happens for a reason and we were meant to end up there. Everything about the venue was perfect. The space is beautiful, there was so much included in the venue hire, the team were angels and it was a brilliant location for all our family and friends to travel to and from.

Hardly any of our guests had heard of The Weaving Shed and everyone said how perfect and unique it was and it’s even more special because although there’s so much included you can absolutely put your own stamp on the space.

Some more info on the finer details:

The Space:
Super flexible open plan space with 4 clear zones.
- The ceremony room
This feels the most separated. We had our ceremony elsewhere so weren’t in this room but it was beautiful.
- The dining space/bar/dancefloor.
Plenty of space for dining and seating/tables can be moved to adjust the size of the dancefloor. Speaker and mic for speeches and you can play your own music using your phone. The bar is right beside the dancefloor which turned out to be super sociable and the dancefloor was always busy.
- The drinks reception space.
Sofas and tables which can be moved into any arrangement and a bar where your drinks reception drinks are served from.
- An extra space between the drink reception space and main room.
Has a pool table which is free to use and more sofas.

The Drinks:
- We had margaritas for our drinks reception alongside bottled beers and prosecco - they were unreal and everyone loved them!!
- You could buy cocktails from the bar all night and they were all so good and freshly made.
- Really well stocked bar with a variety of drinks to keep everyone happy including bottle and draught beer.

The Staff:
- Hamish and his daughter Helena were amazing. From the moment we went to see the venue I felt we were in good hands with Hamish. Nothing was too much trouble, we were able to move any furniture we wanted to create our dream space. He helped us to source and order extra things we needed for the day too. Hamish and Helena were both working our wedding as well which was lovely to have familiar faces supporting us on the day.
- Every member of staff working the bar was so lovely and very good at their job.

We’ve had tons of comments from guests about how great all the staff were.

Currently sitting on our honeymoon, sipping cocktails and reminiscing about our wedding weekend, and we honestly cannot put into words how grateful we are that we chose The Weaving Shed for our wedding.

For any brides and grooms looking to get married in Dundee, we genuinely couldn’t recommend a better venue. The space has absolutely everything you could want for a full wedding day — from the most beautiful dining area, to plenty of space for everyone to enjoy themselves, and most importantly, everything you need for an amazing party into the night!

The staff were absolutely incredible from start to finish. We have had endless compliments from our guests about how friendly, attentive and helpful everyone was throughout the entire day. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and everything ran so smoothly that we were able to completely relax and just enjoy our wedding.

A huge special mention has to go to Hamish, who honestly couldn’t have been more accommodating. We definitely had plenty of requests along the way — both big and small! — and somehow he just made everything we wanted happen. Having someone so helpful, flexible and genuinely invested in making our day exactly what we wanted made such a difference, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Our guests absolutely demolished the cocktails and fizz on arrival, the venue looked gorgeous, and even our wedding suppliers commented on what a brilliant and easy venue The Weaving Shed was to work with — which I think says a lot!

We wanted our wedding to feel relaxed, personal and, above everything else, like one massive party with all of our favourite people, and that is exactly what we got.

We came away from the weekend as the happiest bride and groom after genuinely having the best time of our lives, and The Weaving Shed and its amazing team played such a huge part in making that happen.

We will be recommending this venue to every future bride and groom we know, and judging by how many of our guests have raved about it since, I think they’ll all be doing exactly the same!

Myself and my husband booked this venue in early 2024, it was the only venue we went to see after getting engaged and instantly knew it was the venue for us, we didn’t need to visit any others. From the get go Hamish, the owner, was so friendly, welcoming and informative and this helped us keep our pre-wedding nerves at a minimum. The venue is beautiful, so spacious (we had 150 day guests and another 30 in the evening and at no point did we feel like people were crammed in). We booked a drinks package for our guests which went down a treat and the staff on the day were so efficient, and had a good back and forth with our guests which I think makes such a difference, they were so friendly and worked quickly meaning there was no big queues at the bar. Can’t thank Hamish enough for helping to make the most special day of our lives so perfect!

I cannot thank Hamish, Helena and the team enough for the most phenomenal venue and service. Hamish accommodated all of my wild whims, including flipping the usual set up on its head and putting the dancing at the other end (I think I managed to convert him to the convenience of it!). The venue itself is stunning, with its lanterns and drapes hanging from the ceiling, exposed brick walls, fairy lights, industrial beams and rolling doors and rustic hand made tables. A DIY venue setting that doesn’t need much at all because it’s so gorgeous.
Hamish answered all of my queries and guest whims on WhatsApp very quickly and was so accommodating to bar stock requests. This place is an absolute hidden gem in near central Dundee. If you want rolling hills and loads of greenery, forestry walks or Glen Coe as your backdrop, this place isn’t for you. But if you want rustic, industrial, quirky, unique, fab service, a fun backdrop, a pool table and talking points all at an incredibly reasonable price (some venues we looked at wanted 16k and we still had to hire furniture), then The Weaving Shed is the place for you. So many guests commented how awesome it was. Massive thanks to Hamish and the team for an absolutely wonderful day/night💖❤️

From the moment we walked into The Weaving Shed for our first visit we knew it was our wedding venue - we didn't view anywhere else as we were so sold on it from the first viewing.

The space is perfect, with everything set up the day before you don't need to worry about them needing to reset for meals or dancing, and that makes the whole day feel less stressful overall. Our guests couldn't stop commenting on how much they loved the venue either.

The venue really does speak for itself, and we didn't think it needed much styling, however Hamish let us take pretty much full reigns of the venue to style it how we wanted and this was a big bonus.

Nothing was ever too much for Hamish- he was super attentive but also super relaxed, and you can tell he really knows his stuff - we felt in really good hands from our first conversation with him. His team are amazing too, and on the day the whole thing went so smoothly.

We really can't fault anything, and we can't recommend The Weaving Shed enough!! Thanks again, team!

We had our wedding at The Weaving Shed and it was hands down the best day ever, and not just because it was our wedding night, but because the venue was exactly what we dreamed of and the staff went above and beyond to make things run perfectly.

The entire place is just stunning with its industrial and rustic feel that naturals lends itself to amazing photos. The ceremony room is perfect and it flows seamlessly out into the other rooms to have your drinks reception and then straight back through to dinner and the party without any hassle or travel/waiting time.

The staff were incredible from start to finish, super friendly, professional and always there when you needed them, especially when our DJ asked for them to join in for the last dance and they happily joined us for a great time. Hamish was a brilliant host; he was so helpful with everything, sorted out all our questions and any changes on the day, and just made everything completely stress free.

If you're looking for a wedding venue, you couldn't find much better for the price, rustic charm, and for being a proper all in one space.

We got married at The Weaving Shed on 21st June 2025 and it was an absolute dream from start to finish. We knew just from seeing photos online that it was going to be an amazing venue, but seeing it in person blew us away and as soon as we walked in, we knew it was the venue for us. We wanted something rustic, with loads of space and character to fill with our DIY decor and we really hit the jackpot with The Weaving Shed. Hamish was a pleasure to deal with and incredibly helpful from the very first meeting, he took an interest in our choices and plans for the day, and made great suggestions based on his experiences from past weddings. We went back to visit 5 or 6 times between booking and the actual wedding day and each time Hamish was just as welcoming and helpful as ever, nothing was too much to ask. On the day Hamish and his team were brilliant and everything was seamless. Our guests have not stopped raving about the atmosphere and how phenomenal the venue was. We honestly wish we could do it all again, and we would pick The Weaving Shed every time. Thank you Hamish and staff for helping us celebrate the best day of our lives!
