Secluded away within 70 acres of picturesque scenery, Horsley Towers is an exclusive wedding venue located in East Horsley, Surrey, the perfect place to spend your romantic wedding day. Whether you are planning a grand reception or an intimate ceremony, we will ensure that your special day is as unique, exciting, and memorable as you have dreamed.

The venue dates back to 1820 and is the ancestral residence of the Lovelace family and home to a long line of notable thinkers. Today, the charming and recently refurbished venue provides the perfect setting for a wonderful wedding celebration and a beautiful backdrop for your all-important photographs. There is a fantastic choice of elegant settings for your big day at Horsley Towers, as you will have exclusive use of the Mansion House. The enchanting and atmospheric Great Hall looks simply stunning when illuminated by candlelight for your wedding breakfast, or the Sopwith is ideal for a lavish reception. When your day comes to an end, the venue boasts 28 en-suite bedrooms for your overnight guests. What's more, for your first night of married life, you and your new spouse can enjoy the bridal suite.

The experienced wedding team is by your side all the way through the planning and preparation and offers a helping hand when needed. The team is dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming environment for all guests and is proud to operate an LGBTQ+-inclusive company. You can be confident that in choosing Horsley Towers, they will go above and beyond to make your wedding day is to your liking and vision. In addition, this venue offers some fantastic top-notch facilities, including a croquet lawn, swimming pool, and gym.

Weddings have exclusive use of the Mansion House, so you get to decide what you do where! We have 3 main function rooms -

The Great Hall

Making your entrance into The Great Hall is a moment you’ll treasure forever. With an orchestral gallery and 150 coats of arms, the oak panelled Great Hall provides a spectacular setting for both your civil ceremony, for up to 120 and for your wedding breakfast with up to 110 seated. Evening reception can also be done in this room. Shafts of summer sunlight or the glow of twinkling candles add to the dramatic atmosphere.

The Sopwith

The place to say ‘I do’ and/or enjoy your wedding breakfast in. The Sopwith is an elegantly designed room, holding up to 130 for a civil ceremony and 120 for a wedding reception. With simple yet timeless décor, this relaxed, romantic space will complement your chosen colour scheme perfectly. Evening reception can also be done in this room.

The 1820

Our 1820 Suite provides a perfect setting for your evening celebrations. A separate room that you can keep hidden during the day and whilst your DJ/Band setup their set. This room is linked to our Towers Bar with outdoor access, making it the ideal evening reception room. The 1820 has a capacity of 50 for a ceremony, or 40 for a meal.

We do also have outdoor ceremony options at De Vere Horsley Estate.

Amazing wedding venue!

The venue was beautiful. The staff are really helpful and amazing at helping you plan each detail. The venue was a good price for the quality of the food, staff and venue. We had such an amazing day and are so happy we chose de Vere.

The perfect location for a truly stunning wedding

This really is the perfect location for a truly stunning wedding.
As parents of the bride, all we wanted was to see our daughter and her future husband enjoy a wonderful, stress-free weekend, culminating in the perfect wedding day; and that is exactly what we got!
Evie and her team were so accommodating and made the whole experience so much more relaxing than it could have been.
The list of suppliers was a huge help, and their expertise, combined with their knowledge of the venue, did so much to ensure the day ran smoothly.
We cannot thank your team enough for all the tremendous work you all put in to making this such a magical day. Throughout the whole weekend we all felt very special and that nothing was too much trouble. Every person was so professional, so willing to help, so kind and so fully engaged with the event. It was simply superb.
There are so many of you who played such an important part in making the event the success it so truly was. The Master of Ceremonies, gave the occasion that special sense of grandeur and helped keep everything and everyone on track. The food was excellent, the management of the bar and the food for the night before, with firepits and marshmallows and outside games, worked like clockwork. So many individuals to thank, and we do thank you all!
We would also like to pay tribute to all those involved with the upkeep of the Horsley Towers Estate. The whole property is simply magnificent and maintained to the very highest level. The property sparkled in the sun, the gardens looked superb, and inside, the rooms and reception areas were magnificent, all of which provided wonderful photo opportunities.

We would highly recommend this venue for your wedding.
The staff and the setting are simply wonderful!

Wedding at short notice

Due to family health reasons, we had to chance our destination wedding from Mexico (in summer) to East Horsley (in winter) with only four weeks notice. Thanks to De Vere Horsley our whole UK experience was fanstastic and we count ourselves so lucky for them making our wedding amazing! The staff were like an instant extended family. The food was amazing and the venue itself was incredible. The speed and professionalism for which the event came together was also impressive. I would highly recommend and look forward to coming back for holidays there.

Amazing December Wedding Day

We would highly recommend and thank the team from the bottom of our hearts for the most amazing day. Every member of staff was outstanding, the service top class, the food amazing, lots of amazing feed back from our guests on it all. We were very blessed how all the co ordination came together, even when someone got make up on a jacket they had that sorted. Honestly we could not have wished for a more perfect day so a massive thank you To Horsley, Evie and all the team involved😍

A stunning venue, beautiful location, complimented by an excellent team!

De Vere Horsley Estate was the perfect setting for our wedding – a venue that combined stunning scenery with timeless character. The beautiful grounds and unqiue charm of the house made for the most incredible photo opportunities, giving us memories we’ll treasure forever.

From the very beginning, the wedding team were outstanding. Their professionalism and flexibility stood out, and they were always on hand to offer guidance and support throughout the planning process. No request was too much, and their attention to detail helped everything come together perfectly.

On the day, the team ensured everything ran like clockwork, allowing us to enjoy every moment without a single worry. Their calm and friendly approach put us completely at ease and made the day even more special.

The perfect wedding venue - Historic Charm and Exceptional Service!

I couldn’t recommend this venue more – we had the most perfect wedding day! The building and grounds are breathtaking, with so much history and plenty of beautiful spots for photos. The package was affordable and included everything we needed, like chairs, tables, cutlery, and even an amazing toastmaster who gave history tours to our guests! We also had a fantastic 3-hour DJ set included, which kept the energy going all night.

The staff were incredible from start to finish, guiding us through planning and organisation with such attention to detail. Their communication was fantastic; they always offered advice and responded to any queries quickly. On the day, they made us feel so special and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The whole team truly had everything under control and made us feel completely at ease.

The food was amazing, and the menu tasting was such a memorable experience—it was also included! The chef was so flexible and even tailored the meal just for us. The chef and staff were incredibly attentive to dietary needs and handled all allergies with great care, including my nut allergy. They went out of their way to ensure that every dish was safe and delicious, giving us complete peace of mind.

The venue also let us borrow extras like giant games, umbrellas, and menu stands, adding a fun and personal touch to the day. I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a stress-free, wonderful wedding experience!

Stunning Venue!

Incredible venue and and incredible day. The staff made everything so effortless for our wedding, allowing us to enjoy the day and soak it in. Great suppliers and a great venue for both photos inside and outside.

The Perfect and Most Beautiful Venue

What can I say, the staff on the day of our wedding were second to none! They were on the ball, involved us in decisions and were so responsive and reliable. A really special shout out to Brad, who was fantastic, all of my guests have commented on how wonderful you were. And thank you to Evie, who was there at the end of every email! Thank you all so much! Your service was worth every penny!

Amazing venue!

Incredible venue for our wedding

Could not wish for a more perfect venue and Horsley' employees were so supportive. We has to move our wedding 4 times due to the pandemic and Horsley were so understanding and incredible throughout which I know was not the case with many other wedding venues. This goes to show they care about their clients and were so flexible to make sure we had the perfcet day. Everyone went above and beyond and it worked like a dream. I could not recommend it more.

We are serious foodies and their chefs are outstanding. Everyone commented on the quality.

Good venue service could be better

Great venue and location. Food was good but the communication was poor between the planning team and the service team on the day. To start with we were told we will have 1 wedding planner through thw whole process. This was not the case. I understand that most often venues have 1 person to make the deal and another to manage the event, but had our expectations been set right , we wouldnt have been disappointed. There was no coordination from the planner with any of our suppliers. I believer they should have proactively asked us for their contact and contacted them to co-ordinate the day. But other than the suppliers that they gave us they didn't even want to know who/what we were going with. On the day, our Bridal party was delayed as were most of the guests and some of them missed all the canapes and welcome drinks. When asked, I was told, the rounds were over, and we needed to proceed for wedding breakfast. I think this could have been better managed. I know for sure the canapes were not over. We had paid extra for the canapes and drinks but my bridal party were left without it. We were told, any unused proccesso and drinks will be moved to the tab on the Bar that didn't happen. To top it all, my decorations from the day went missing after the wedding. I had to return these to the hire company but ending up paying Overall, the venue was amazing but we could have done with better service.

Best wedding venue!

We would highly recommend Horsley Towers as a wedding venue. The venue itself is absolutely stunning; we got married there in November and luckily had good weather, but the cloisters, chapel and other rooms provide the perfect photo opportunities regardless of the weather. The team were fantastic; always very flexible, accommodating, friendly and have great expertise about how best to run a wedding day! The food served by the chefs was delicious and we had lots of compliments about the food on the day. On the day the wedding team were so organised and helpful; everything ran smoothly and Horsley Towers really do know how to run a fantastic wedding day! The whole process was stress free. We would highly recommend the team there and the venue.

Stunning wedding venue & stellar staff

Having lived in Guildford for over 35 years, what a stunningly beautiful and fairytale location for a wedding. From the first moment of online research, Horsley Towers hit all the buttons for us. We first visited in the summer and fell in love with the location. That led to several visits in Autumn, Xmas and Spring. From the impressive Italian Tower; cool lakeside walk; landscaped grounds; cosy bedrooms and imposing Grand Hall, this was the venue for us.
Having signed on the dotted line we had frequent contact with our wedding co-ordinators right up to our fairytale day. We had guests arriving from all over the world and although there were some online booking glitches we did manage to resolve them.
There were some stand out staff who made our day extra special. Thank you so much Olly and waiter friends for making our food tasting a special experience and Andreas for sticking with us to find the right wine! It was wonderful to enjoy room 103 the night before and then the bridal suite. How decadent but memorable. The stellar star of our day was Ginta who made our wedding day truly special. Your eye for detail is spot on and you noticed things even I missed! Nothing was too much trouble even when there was a wardrobe malfunction. You very quickly became a friend and I truly felt I could pad around downstairs and drink in the quiet atmosphere before all our guests arrived. A special moment. And of course Steve our toastmaster who so many of our guests still talk about when he conducted a tour and kept everything running so smoothly and on time. Olly your food on the day was fabulous and so many people mentioned they loved the generous portions.
All in all a fabulous venue that anyone wanting a special wedding memory should include on their list. Thank you so much Horsley Towers.

I have been working in the wedding and events industry for over 5 years, and every wedding is as exciting as the first. I love meeting with couples when they are first engaged, finding out about their proposal, understanding what their dream day looks like, getting to know them and their families. Most importantly it is about learning that every couple is different and has a different vision, which we learn to understand, and bring to life. I like to create a bespoke package to fit each and every couple and their special guests. I most enjoy being the first venue couples see, and watching their eyes light up as we walk around the mansion, seeing how beautiful their wedding day could be, and what is on offer to them. There is nothing quite the same as watching a couple who have fallen in love with each other, fall in love with your venue.
