Best wedding venue!

We would highly recommend Horsley Towers as a wedding venue. The venue itself is absolutely stunning; we got married there in November and luckily had good weather, but the cloisters, chapel and other rooms provide the perfect photo opportunities regardless of the weather. The team were fantastic; always very flexible, accommodating, friendly and have great expertise about how best to run a wedding day! The food served by the chefs was delicious and we had lots of compliments about the food on the day. On the day the wedding team were so organised and helpful; everything ran smoothly and Horsley Towers really do know how to run a fantastic wedding day! The whole process was stress free. We would highly recommend the team there and the venue.

Good venue service could be better

Great venue and location. Food was good but the communication was poor between the planning team and the service team on the day. To start with we were told we will have 1 wedding planner through thw whole process. This was not the case. I understand that most often venues have 1 person to make the deal and another to manage the event, but had our expectations been set right , we wouldnt have been disappointed. There was no coordination from the planner with any of our suppliers. I believer they should have proactively asked us for their contact and contacted them to co-ordinate the day. But other than the suppliers that they gave us they didn't even want to know who/what we were going with. On the day, our Bridal party was delayed as were most of the guests and some of them missed all the canapes and welcome drinks. When asked, I was told, the rounds were over, and we needed to proceed for wedding breakfast. I think this could have been better managed. I know for sure the canapes were not over. We had paid extra for the canapes and drinks but my bridal party were left without it. We were told, any unused proccesso and drinks will be moved to the tab on the Bar that didn't happen. To top it all, my decorations from the day went missing after the wedding. I had to return these to the hire company but ending up paying Overall, the venue was amazing but we could have done with better service.

Amazing venue!

We had our wedding celebration party at Horsley Towers last October and it was amazing! All of our guests loved the venue and it made our event feel very special!

Incredible venue for our wedding

Could not wish for a more perfect venue and Horsley' employees were so supportive. We has to move our wedding 4 times due to the pandemic and Horsley were so understanding and incredible throughout which I know was not the case with many other wedding venues. This goes to show they care about their clients and were so flexible to make sure we had the perfcet day. Everyone went above and beyond and it worked like a dream. I could not recommend it more.

We are serious foodies and their chefs are outstanding. Everyone commented on the quality.

The staff are shining stars!!

We had a pretty devastating cancellation of our original wedding venue six months before our wedding date due to the venue deciding to close for refurbishment! My partner and I were scrambling around to find a venue with availability on the same day for the same number of people - and then we found the De Vere Horsley Estate…

From the first meeting right up until the post-wedding communication the staff have been absolutely incredible, nothing I asked for was too much trouble (including deciding to rearrange the entire ceremony room only hours before the ceremony was due to start and my request to pause a song at precisely 48 seconds in for my entrance!). The day went so smoothly without any hiccups and the staff were all to thank for that. We stayed from the Friday evening until the Sunday morning and from the moment we stepped into the venue we (myself, my husband and all of our guests) were made to feel so incredibly special. Throughout the time we were there we had access to an events manager, wedding coordinator, hotel manager and toastmaster who will forever be my four heros!

The food for the canapés and wedding breakfast was absolutely delicious as were the cocktails and the venue is STUNNING! And best of all, you get it all to yourself!

I could go on all day about the venue, but all I will say is if you’re considering Horsley BOOK IT! You won’t be disappointed!

Stunning wedding venue & stellar staff

Having lived in Guildford for over 35 years, what a stunningly beautiful and fairytale location for a wedding. From the first moment of online research, Horsley Towers hit all the buttons for us. We first visited in the summer and fell in love with the location. That led to several visits in Autumn, Xmas and Spring. From the impressive Italian Tower; cool lakeside walk; landscaped grounds; cosy bedrooms and imposing Grand Hall, this was the venue for us.
Having signed on the dotted line we had frequent contact with our wedding co-ordinators right up to our fairytale day. We had guests arriving from all over the world and although there were some online booking glitches we did manage to resolve them.
There were some stand out staff who made our day extra special. Thank you so much Olly and waiter friends for making our food tasting a special experience and Andreas for sticking with us to find the right wine! It was wonderful to enjoy room 103 the night before and then the bridal suite. How decadent but memorable. The stellar star of our day was Ginta who made our wedding day truly special. Your eye for detail is spot on and you noticed things even I missed! Nothing was too much trouble even when there was a wardrobe malfunction. You very quickly became a friend and I truly felt I could pad around downstairs and drink in the quiet atmosphere before all our guests arrived. A special moment. And of course Steve our toastmaster who so many of our guests still talk about when he conducted a tour and kept everything running so smoothly and on time. Olly your food on the day was fabulous and so many people mentioned they loved the generous portions.
All in all a fabulous venue that anyone wanting a special wedding memory should include on their list. Thank you so much Horsley Towers.

Best Day of Our Lives

We would both like to take this opportunity to thank your entire staff for the amazing job they did to make our Wedding Day the best day of our lives.

@Kate from day one when we first visited Horsley Towers looking for a venue, you made us feel like our wedding was the most important thing in the world. Of course the venue speaks for itself, but the first impressions you gave us was a major reason for us choosing yourselves above other venues.

Your whole team have been an absolute pleasure to work with and have made us feel like nothing was too small to make our day everything we wanted. Lucie's coordinating was extremely helpful and the support provided was greatly appreciated.

We would also like to mention Sheldon who on the day was absolutely fantastic. He did not stop the entire day, helping us with every possible detail and making sure we were at ease the entire time when nerves were at a premium! His expertise and calmness throughout were a huge asset and he made us feel very important on the day too, which was so nice to experience.

Rafa, Jose and the bar staff who kept the night going too...and who could forget the efforts of Steve as our toastmaster, and the associate he had shadowing him on the day. Literally everyone made it all come together and so, so special.

As you can tell we are positively beaming about it all and we have had so many people tell us it was the best wedding they had been to and how beautiful the venue was. So once again, thank you so much for everything.

Amy and I would like to thank you and your team for making our wedding day such a success. It was a thoroughly enjoyable occasion and ran smoothly throughout.

The team were professional and courteous with their service and we have received many compliments about the food. The venue looked great. We both thought the way it has been redecorated is very fitting, both in the bedrooms and the common areas. We look forward to seeing the photographs from the day.

All round it was a pleasure having our wedding at Horsley Towers, it holds some great memories for us and you seem to have really progressed the whole venue in recent years.

First of all I would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff who were involved in organising their wedding last Friday. Everybody who attended have had nothing but praise for the day - excellent venue, quality of food , and standard of rooms etc.
Special thanks to Gabby, who handled the day so smoothly, ushering us here and there when needed! Also please pass on our grateful thanks to Steve the wonderful toastmaster, everybody thought he was brilliant!
