Facilities and Capacity

DoubleTree By Hilton Chester can accommodate intimate occasions and large celebrations with all your friends and family. The Abbey Suite, Ballroom, and Yerburgh Suite are all licensed for civil ceremonies. The Yerburgh Suite is situated in the Manor House and features a beautiful bay window overlooking the landscaped gardens, duck pond, and fountain. It is a perfect setting for an intimate ceremony or a small wedding breakfast. The Abbey Suite is a converted stable barn featuring original beams, natural Cheshire brick, a bar, and a private garden. This versatile space is a great choice for your ceremony, wedding breakfast, and evening reception. The Ballroom is the venue’s largest function room. It can accommodate up to 350 people for an evening reception. The hotel grounds feature a beautiful Victorian walled garden and a lovely pagoda, which you are welcome to use as the setting for an outdoor wedding ceremony. Overnight accommodation is also available for you and your guests. The hotel has 171 guest rooms, 33 Deluxe Suites, 14 Junior Suites, and a Presidential Suite.

Wedding review

We got married at doubletree Hilton chester in May 2024. The whole day was perfect from start to finish which was a huge credit to the staff involved on the day. They couldn’t have done more for us and were extremely helpful. The planning process was also made stress free as the team were always available to answer any query I had and the responses were always prompt! The venue is beautiful and we couldn’t have picked somewhere more perfect for us! Would highly recommend and wish we could do it all over again x

Perfection

From the first moment we sat down with Lucy, Double Tree couldn’t have done more for us. The venue is absolutely stunning and they provided great vegan alternatives for us. The events team made the planning and organising so much easier. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The little touches, such as meeting us at the end of the aisle with a drink and helping me when my dress was stuck just showed how tentative you all were. We couldn’t have picked a better place to get married.

Excellent hotel wedding venue

Excellent venue, with helpful staff. Good food and range of options.
As a large hotel venue it enables the guests to stay at the same venue.
Provides a special room for bridal prep.

An incredible day

Lucy was my coordinator from the start, great continuity and I felt like I harassed the poor woman but nothing was too much trouble. On the day, Lucy came to see me (bless her) and then I was transferred over to the lovely Zoe. Literally she was moving the earth to make this day next level amazing. I loved it all! Then the food and bev staff were a delight as well, as the bride, I don't think I paid for a drink which was a pleasant surprise! The food on the day was spot on, lots of people commented on how nice it was. :)

Absolutely Amazing Venue & Team

We held our wedding at the Doubletree Hotel and Spa in November 2021 and cannot recommend both the venue and the team high enough. Due to covid, our wedding was delayed by 12 months but despite this the team kept us fully informed at all times and nothing was too much trouble. We had an absolutely amazing day as did all of our family and friends. The Abbey Suite is beautiful x

Double Tree Wedding October 2021

We had an absolutely fantastic experience and wedding with The Double Tree.
From our first meeting to our last meeting, nothing was too much trouble for our lovely wedding co ordinators Zoe & Lucy, who are truly angels! They were both very welcoming, friendly and extremely responsive to any emails we sent, even during a pandemic!
The day ran smoothly with our lovely toastmaster Tom who was very good at calming a very excited bride down.
We would absolutely recommend anyone to have their wedding there.
Our guests were happy with their accommodation and any issues were sorted promptly.
An absolutely amazing experience and a memory we’ll have forever.
We can’t thank all the staff at the Double Tree enough for their hard work during our wedding.

DoubleTree Chester Wedding- Lucy, Zoe Jemma and Tom

It was the most perfect day, tom was absolutely fantastic it went so smoothly and was exactly how we wanted. We had to push the date back due to covid. Zoe was amazing as she was out wedding coordinator to start of with she was so helpful and understanding. Then Lucy took over with the help of Jemma and was so amazing, she was so helpful, caring and understanding and dealt with never ending emails and questions from me. We couldnt have done it without them all and it was a pleasure to have our wedding at this hotel i would 100% recommend the wonderful staff at the doubletree and cant thank them enough for everything they did for us. The most perfect day ever

Fabulous Day

Yourself and Georgina were so professional and helped the day to run so smooth, with no hiccups!! All our guests have praised the Hotel from the food, through to the bedrooms.

The Perfect Wedding Venue

Going back to the beginning, we immediately loved the look of the hotel from the website, but when we went to view it we completely fell in love. With a perfect blend of old and new, we knew it was the place we wanted to have our special day. Not only that, but our meeting was with Gemma, a wedding coordinator who was polite, professional, friendly, knowledgeable and really left a lasting impression on us.
We booked and put our deposit down, and I can't recommend the hotel highly enough. Every single communication with Gemma and her team was great- nothing was too much trouble and they made the whole process so easy and so stress free. Every single staff member we encountered from the planning stages right up to the actual day was brilliant. They were all so pleasant and helpful, they took the time to chat with us and wish us well, to have fun with us on the day, they catered to our every need, they went out of their way whenever they could and they all made it so memorable for us. Georgina was our toastmaster on the day and she was another fantastic staff member who controlled the day with such ease and such a warm attitude. We loved everyone that we met throughout the whole process and can't wait to go back and say hi! The customer service was incredible from start to finish.
Regarding the practical stuff, the cost was so reasonable, the package we chose covered all the details and the execution was perfect.
We had so many positive comments from our guests regarding food, venue and mostly the staff. It really was a perfect day.

Thank you everyone who made our day so special, we can't wait to come back!

We will be back

We both had the best day and so did our guests. Everyone loved the food especially the tomato soup so that was definitely a good choice. Everyone kept commenting on it.
Me and Liam can't believe how well everything was set up on the day. It looked beautiful and everything was so organised. We didn't have to do anything on the day or sort anything out. We can't thank you and Georgina enough. It couldn't have gone any better.
We will both be back next year for a meal and an overnight stay on our anniversary night

Best Day EVER!!!

Wow! Where to start. The Double Tree was always somewhere we loved to go for a spa break or food, but we never thought about getting married! We came across a special offer on Facebook and decided to enquire. From then we were blown away by the efficiency and enthusiasm of staff. Everybody was so helpful and professional. We did have some trouble with guests booking rooms but other than that it was all super amazing.
We had Nicola as our wedding coordinator and Tom and his team as our Toast Master. Nicola was brilliant and always answered emails efficiently with answers. Nicola even went to the trouble of seeing us on our special day too.
Tom! Wow! This guy literally blew us away! He was so calm, professional, funny, helpful and juts an all-round superstar! The whole team were just incredible and made our day so super special. We can’t thank the team enough and would highly recommend them.
The food was juts out of this world and our chef (Adam) was super friendly and took on all our comments and boy did he deliver on the day. Everyone is still talking about the food that day 3 months later!
If you are thinking about getting married here, then my advice would be think no more!! Do it! The team really will go above and beyond to help you and make sure your day is one to remember!

On behalf of myself and my husband who married here last Saturday we can’t thank you all enough, Tom our toast master is an absolute credit to your team he made our whole day feel like a breeze as nothing was too much and the Abbey suite was set out exactly as we imagined if not better! Also a big thanks to the wedding breakfast and evening staff for their hospitality though out the whole day our glasses we’re never empty. The food was amazing and all our guests commented on how nice it was! We both can’t recommend this hotel enough .. We will definitely be back in the future

Brilliant Day

We got married here on Saturday and the staff were faultless from start to finish. We’d been liaising with Jemma since we booked the venue and she was friendly, professional and helpful from day one. I met Georgina and Thomas on the day and they couldn’t do enough to help the day go without a glitch and the team in the Abbey Suite for the breakfast and evening were brilliant as well. Connor the concierge was equally brilliant and helpful. Shan made sure we were well fed and watered throughout the weekend and looked after the whole party as well. The guys who had to clear up the evening do to prep the room for the following days event did so with a smile and deserved an extra day off for working tirelessly throughout the day. Basically everyone of the staff members we met were brilliant- thank you all. We will definitely be coming back to celebrate our anniversary at our special place- and as many times in between as we possibly can
