How many weddings have you been to that feel like cookie-cutter venues? There’s nothing wrong with them, but for us, they all kind of blend into one. That’s exactly why we booked Cheshire Woodland Weddings. We wanted something a little different, with a lot more to do, and all for around the same price as most of the other venues we looked at.

It’s an incredible ceremony venue set at the edge of a forest, with stunning views and a peaceful, natural vibe. There’s a brilliant barn for your wedding breakfast and evening do, with plenty of space to comfortably accommodate over 100 guests.

And then there are the activities, which were amazing. Archery, air rifles, axe throwing, mini golf, Segways, and a whole range of fun little games were available throughout the day. To top it all off, we were treated to a 45-minute falconry display that everyone absolutely loved.

Just be ready to endure whatever weather you get dealt on the day. We were fortunate enough to have a warm, dry day at the end of May, but being an outdoor venue, a bit of flexibility is key.

Our guests couldn’t stop raving about what a fantastic venue it was and how much fun they had.

Located in Blakemere, the venue also has the huge advantage of having other essential things right on hand. The Blakemere Hideaway lodges were the perfect place to stumble back to at the end of the night, just a two-minute walk across the car park. The Village Restaurant, also on site, provided delicious canapés, a three-course wedding breakfast, and an evening BBQ, all at very reasonable prices.

You honestly cannot go wrong with this place. If you're after a wedding that feels unique, exciting, and full of character, this is it.

Amazing from the first show round and first contact, perfect venue for a large wedding or a small venue, communication and information throughout the process was outstanding! The venue just speaks for itself but Ebony and Alexander take it to the next level! Perfect outdoor venue and takes into consideration the weather, could not be happier with our wedding ceremony and all the run up before!

We had an absolutely magical and incredible wedding at Cheshire Woodland Weddings. The venue is simply beautiful, and the activities on offer kept all the guests entertained and made it clear it was not a 'normal' and 'stuffy' wedding. We have had so many comments from the guests about how fun the wedding was and how much people enjoyed it being different and unique; the owls in particular were a bit hit! The team were so welcoming, warm, and professional, and made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. On the day itself, we could relax completely knowing everything was in hand and taken care of, and the staff were an amazing part of the day, being so willing to take part in the fun, and being so attentive to make sure all the guests were kept comfortable. Honestly, the entire venue is amazing, feels so unique and magical, and I cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone looking for a truly romantic, fun, and specially unique venue.

From the day we booked our wedding date up to the big day, everything went as smoothly as we could have hoped for.
Ebony was our main coordinator, along with Connor, and they did an outstanding job. We didn't have to worry about a single thing on our wedding day, in what is such a beautiful venue. The activities kept our guests entertained throughout the afternoon after the ceremony, with areas to sit down and mingle. Everyone knew where they needed to be and when.
I highly recommend this venue to any couple that want something special and memorable.

Our wedding at Cheshire Woodland Weddings, was everything we ever dreamt of and more.

Do not let the weather put you off when considering this venue. We had all seasons but snow, and yet we would not change anything. The rain added to the magic of the ceremony, the sun came out during the activities, and biblical rain during our meal, it was great! The staff were overly accommodating with the weather, so again do not worry. The staff were able to accommodate change quickly, making sure that myself and my bridesmaids kept dry before the ceremony.

Ebony was amazing, cannot say much more. She was quick to respond to queries before the wedding, and on the day ensured everything ran like clockwork. Ebony allowed me to relax during the day, and handled everything to the finest detail.

We would also like to thank all the other staff, as they also worked tirelessly throughout the day.

We would recommend this venue to anyone who wishes to have an alternative outdoor wedding. We guarantee that you will have the best day, and so will your guests.

We had our wedding at Cheshire Woodland Weddings end of April 2023. It was a brave move with good old British weather, but fortunately the weather was kind for us bar a 30 minute shower. It actually added to our day! The team provided everyone with ponchos while we watched the falconry display, the pictures of this are amusing to look back on and it didn’t spoil it one bit.
The team couldn’t do enough. Everything was perfect from start to finish, guests were still talking about our wedding weeks later. Thank you for making our wedding perfect! Jacqui and Dan

We were one of many couples to have their weddings cancelled due to covid, and honestly so glad we did because this was the perfect magical venue that suited us both more than anything. We rearrange our wedding in under two months for 30 people without a crazy budget. We felt so relaxed and reassured thanks to the amazing team and thoughtfulness of the design but also could add our own touch and creativity to the venue. We are incredibly grateful to Darren who was amazing to work with! The games and activities were such a hit for all ages! The brother of the groom said ‘I never realised could be so fun!’. It was a pocket of happiness and joy we will never forget.

We held our wedding here in October this year and it was honestly perfect. Ebony, Steve, and the whole team were so helpful from day one and really made the whole wedding planning process so easy. The venue itself has everything you could want from an outdoor venue, our guests all loved taking pictures in the woods, playing mini golf, and having a glass of prosecco and canapes looking over the lake. I would 100% recommend to anyone else looking to get married here. It was perfect.

We wanted to thank Ebony and the team for an absolutely amazing day. We honestly couldn’t have wished for more and our guests have nothing but praise for Cheshire Woodland Weddings too!

What can I say from the first day we met Nicole and Steve! nothing was too much hassle and everything was made simple and easy. Great communication and they couldn't have physically done any more. Nicoles attention to detail is second to none and they couldn't have made our day any more perfect!

A perfectly decorated site with lots of activities which went down perfect with our guests!

We would highly recommend Cheshire woodland weddings to anyone who was trying to book the perfect venue for their wedding.

As the father of the bride you want your ‘little girl’ to have a magical day - and that is what she got. We have had the most amazing wedding day at Cheshire Woodland Weddings. The venue was magical, Nicole, Steve and the team were so attentive and supportive, the whole day was perfect!! We have had so many guests comment about “best wedding ever” - and it was!!! We first looked around the venue in the winter (no leaves or colour) with Santa’s Grotto still in residence (complete with fake snow). Steve reassured us that the transformation will make it completely different - he wasn’t wrong, it was wonderful! Our guests took full advantage of the activities, and the birds made the woodland theme complete. Steve and Nicole worked closely with our caterers (Jane Smith), photographers (Sensortivity Photography) and the live music (The Directions) to make everything run as smoothly as possible. Thank you to the whole team at Cheshire Woodland Wedding for taking (most of!) the stress out of a wonderful day and helping to make it perfect!!!

Couldn't recommend the venue and staff enough.
We fell in love with the setting as soon as we visited and from the moment we met with Nicole and Steve they offered so much support and reassurance.

We were invited to discuss our ideas and visit the site when ever necessary. Nicole's experience meant that every fine detail was thought of and they all went above and beyond to make sure it was right for us.

Our wedding was 2 weeks ago today and all our guests are still talking about how magical and different the whole day was.
If you're looking for a venue who works for you, makes you feel important and gives your guests something to remember this is it!
