Mia Sent on 14/10/2026What can I say about Cheshire Woodland Weddings… the team, the venue, the location - all amazing!
My husband and I had the most magical day of our lives, and we truly could not have chosen a more perfect venue to celebrate it. The entire team at Cheshire Woodland Weddings were an absolute dream. They are some of the kindest, friendliest and most passionate people we have ever had the pleasure of meeting, and we feel incredibly lucky to have celebrated our special day with them.
From the moment I first discovered the venue, it immediately spoke to us. The woodland ceremony area felt like something straight out of a fairytale. Surrounded by beautiful greenery and bathed in stunning autumnal light, it was everything we had imagined and more.
The barn, with the outdoor pavilion and fire pits and bar all contained near by, it was the perfect space to celebrate the night away and have everyone close and never too far to come running back to the dancefloor!
One of the things that made this venue stand out even more was the incredible range of activities on offer. From shooting, axe throwing and archery to even a beautiful bird display, it genuinely felt like the venue had been made for us; as a couple who love activities, it couldn't have suited us better.
From our very first enquiry, the team made us feel less like clients and more like close friends. Everyone was so welcoming, approachable and genuinely excited to talk with us. There was such an authentic and natural warmth about the team that instantly put us at ease.
We first visited the venue during winter when it wasn't even set up for wedding season and was instead preparing for Christmas. Yet we didn't need to see it dressed up for a wedding to know it was the one. The beauty, atmosphere and charm were evident from the moment we arrived and we could just visualise the beauty we saw on their Instagram, in real life.
Throughout the planning process, we had the pleasure of working with Alexandra, who was absolutely amazing! She was patient, so super friendly, supportive and always took the time to answer any questions we had. From day one, she made us feel comfortable, reassured and so excited about planning our wedding. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and her guidance made the entire experience feel smooth, stress-free and so enjoyable!
When the wedding day finally arrived, it exceeded every expectation we had. Katie stepped in to coordinate the day, and she was absolutely fantastic! Everything ran seamlessly from start to finish, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment. The way the team set up the venue with all of our decorations, it was exactly what we imagined and more!
And of course our guests absolutely loved the day! They couldn't stop talking about how beautiful it was, how much fun the activities were and how wonderful all of the staff had been - and they truly were amazing, not only the coordinators but every one of the team members on the activities, the falconry team for the owl delivery, brilliant bird show and patience with bird handling and the whole bar team throughout the night - you’re all amazing!
There simply aren't enough words to express how grateful we are to the entire team at Cheshire Woodland Weddings. They helped create the happiest day of our lives and gave us memories that we will cherish forever. The only sad part is that it's all over. If we could relive the day and do it all again, we would in a heartbeat.

The most AMAZING experience with this venue. Ebony & Alex couldn’t have done enough for us!! Such a friendly team, you genuinely feel like you’re just chatting with your best mates when planning everything! Cannot recommend this venue enough. Our guests are still raving about how good the day was. The activities, falconry and general setting just made everything so so special! Big shoutout to the team for setting up all our decor the day before and a huge mention to Ebony for co-ordinating our wedding day even when she was on crutches - absolute hero!! We wish we could do it all over again ❤️❤️
If you’re looking for a wedding venue that’s a bit unusual and you want to keep your guests entertained all day - this is defo the place!! -

The Young Wedding May 2026
We had our wedding in May and it was out of this world. From the minute we met Ebony and booked the wedding she was exceptional. Nothing was too much, our day was better than we could have ever imagined, every single one of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been too. Ebony, Nic and their team went above and beyond to make sure every detail was absolutely perfect. They accommodated everything we asked, from our dog being a suprise ring bearer, making sure I was able to suprise our children with their own vows, every single activity still going ahead despite the rain, helping decorate the aisle and the venue the day before, the most incredible bird display and our suprise singers. Nothing was too much trouble. Every single member of their team, especially the bar staff who made sure the drinks were constantly flowing. We can’t put into words just how grateful we are. It really was the most magical day. We will forever have a special place in our hearts for Cheshire woodlands. You are all incredible and we will never truly be able to put into words just how perfect our special day was.

Honestly where do we start? We had the most incredible day of our lives on the 2nd May 2026 💚
What can we say about the venue? It had everything a fun couple could dream of! The setting is an absolute dream. Breathtaking even. It was absolutely perfect for us, getting married in woods under the chirping birds and sunlight through the trees. The activities, our guests could NOT stop talking about for weeks. We had words of ‘this is the best wedding we have ever been to!’. A truly unique day and experience for all.
The whole team were absolutely fantastic. From Ebony and Alex, to the Cheshire Outdoors team, the bar team for perking me up when I was crashing, and of course the falconry. The incredible Jess the barn owl delivered our rings and offered quite the show during the falconry display! That was a GREAT surprise to our guests which we kept a secret.
Our day felt super fun, enjoyable, chilled and really painted us as who we are.
Don’t have second thoughts about this venue. We knew it was the one, the moment we stepped foot in the woods!!

Amazing from the first show round and first contact, perfect venue for a large wedding or a small venue, communication and information throughout the process was outstanding! The venue just speaks for itself but Ebony and Alexander take it to the next level! Perfect outdoor venue and takes into consideration the weather, could not be happier with our wedding ceremony and all the run up before! -

How many weddings have you been to that feel like cookie-cutter venues? There’s nothing wrong with them, but for us, they all kind of blend into one. That’s exactly why we booked Cheshire Woodland Weddings. We wanted something a little different, with a lot more to do, and all for around the same price as most of the other venues we looked at.
It’s an incredible ceremony venue set at the edge of a forest, with stunning views and a peaceful, natural vibe. There’s a brilliant barn for your wedding breakfast and evening do, with plenty of space to comfortably accommodate over 100 guests.
And then there are the activities, which were amazing. Archery, air rifles, axe throwing, mini golf, Segways, and a whole range of fun little games were available throughout the day. To top it all off, we were treated to a 45-minute falconry display that everyone absolutely loved.
Just be ready to endure whatever weather you get dealt on the day. We were fortunate enough to have a warm, dry day at the end of May, but being an outdoor venue, a bit of flexibility is key.
Our guests couldn’t stop raving about what a fantastic venue it was and how much fun they had.
Located in Blakemere, the venue also has the huge advantage of having other essential things right on hand. The Blakemere Hideaway lodges were the perfect place to stumble back to at the end of the night, just a two-minute walk across the car park. The Village Restaurant, also on site, provided delicious canapés, a three-course wedding breakfast, and an evening BBQ, all at very reasonable prices.
You honestly cannot go wrong with this place. If you're after a wedding that feels unique, exciting, and full of character, this is it. -

Totally Magical Venue and an amazing day!
We had an absolutely magical and incredible wedding at Cheshire Woodland Weddings. The venue is simply beautiful, and the activities on offer kept all the guests entertained and made it clear it was not a 'normal' and 'stuffy' wedding. We have had so many comments from the guests about how fun the wedding was and how much people enjoyed it being different and unique; the owls in particular were a bit hit! The team were so welcoming, warm, and professional, and made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. On the day itself, we could relax completely knowing everything was in hand and taken care of, and the staff were an amazing part of the day, being so willing to take part in the fun, and being so attentive to make sure all the guests were kept comfortable. Honestly, the entire venue is amazing, feels so unique and magical, and I cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone looking for a truly romantic, fun, and specially unique venue. -

From the day we booked our wedding date up to the big day, everything went as smoothly as we could have hoped for.
Ebony was our main coordinator, along with Connor, and they did an outstanding job. We didn't have to worry about a single thing on our wedding day, in what is such a beautiful venue. The activities kept our guests entertained throughout the afternoon after the ceremony, with areas to sit down and mingle. Everyone knew where they needed to be and when.
I highly recommend this venue to any couple that want something special and memorable. -
