When you decide to pack up and head 7000km away with your people to have your dream fairytale wedding, all you can hope for is someone like Julie on the other end. Our experience from planning over emails, texts, and video chats, to our friendly welcome a the castle, all the way through our entire wedding day we felt immense support. Her expertise and professionalism (plus a great sense of humour!) put us at ease, gave us the best recommendations and made what could have been a stressful time into joyful memories we'll cherish forever. Julie went above and beyond, handling last-minute details to create unforgettable experiences for us and our family the entire week we stayed at the castle. A bride's best friend!

Our guests were blown away by the backdrop, the food, the incredibly talented vendors and overall experience in Umbria. Wish we could do it all over again! This decision is a no brainer!!

We had the most amazing wedding, we couldn’t even expect (and we already thought it’s going to be good).
To Julie (the wedding planner): she’s the kindest and most sympathetic person we could imagine. The planning with her was absolutely fantastic, we had several phone and video calls to organise the wedding from Germany. We visited her an the castle just a month after getting in touch with her.
Julie offered to be our ceremonial speaker and did an amazing job, she even did it in German language. It was fantastic!!!
To the castle: beautiful place, nice pool, tennis court, cleaning service everyday, pretty rooms and bathrooms and a big kitchen.
For the catering we chose „Sergio Bellina“: as rehearsal dinner we had a „pizza-party“ which was also held at the castle. Giovanni and the staff were phenomenal. All of our guests and us were amazed. Our expectations were even exceeded on our wedding day. We had fantastic Aperitivo wither drinks and antipasti after the ceremony. Later, the dinner consisted of four delicious courses and a traditional wedding-cake. The staff also did a fantastic job on the wedding day (friendly, smart, funny).
After the dinner we had a dance-party at the pool, the caterer also did the open bar and offered the drinks we chose in advance.
The catering even left us the leftovers (liquor, wine, etc) after they finished service.
We had a violinist and a harpist which played music during the ceremony, the Aperitivo and at the dinner. At the finale, the violinist sang an opera song for the bride.
We look forward to celebrating our anniversary at the Castello again one day and to seeing Julie again!

I don't know where to start, but I guess I'll start with Julie. She held our hands from day one, putting in hours and hours of calls, emails, in person visits, etc. - and for a wedding planner, she truly listened, got to know us, and worked so hard to bring our vision to olife within mour bounds. ˜We really wanted to control costs, and she was so creative and steadfast in trying to make that happen for us. She and the fantastic team of caterers, florists, etc. that she reccomended and did all the interfacing with, were also so flexible and understanding - we changrd our mind a lot with the changing weather, and they were super acoomodating. Everything was perfect for the day of. You simply cannot to better for a wedding planner, she is perfection.
The castle - speaks for itself. Just like the images if not better. Them beds are SUPER comfortable! All of the castle staff was fantastic - kind, warm, helpful, unobtrusive, they went above and beyond.
The entire thing - wedding, Bˆ&B, venue, service, etc. etc. etc etc. - was magical.

We originally found Castle Borgia during an Airbnb search as we looked for non-traditional venues for our destination wedding in Italy. The owner, Julie, is also a wedding planner and from the first moment we reached out, she was so helpful and we knew we had made the right decision! Julie was able to help us plan everything remotely from the US. We took one trip to Italy 8 months before our wedding where she took us around town to choose flowers and decor, walk through the set-up of our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at the castle, select a harpist for the ceremony, DJ for the party, and plan our menu – including midnight pizza made in the castle's tower oven! Planning was a breeze and we felt confident that Julie would ensure everything went smoothly. Our wedding weekend was perfect – the wedding was everything we dreamed of (and more!) and our friends and family had an incredible time. Our closest friends stayed with us at the castle and we were able to cook a delicious brunch the next morning, too. Everything was surprisingly affordable and convenient. We truly had an unforgettable wedding. We so highly recommend Julie and Castle Borgia for your Italian wedding!
