Where do I begin to start with our experience at Castello di Montignano.... we celebrated our wedding weekend on 26th April 2025 and it was the most magical, incredible and sensational weekend we could have wished for! I cannot begin to thank the team at the venue, Giuseppe, Eva, David, Cristina and co.. every single person we dealt with was absolutely amazing from start to finish! We had 100 guests for the whole weekend, our welcome evening was a pizza night in the castle itself as it rained outside, this worked out so well, the drinks were flowing, the food was amazing and our guests had such a great welcome. On the wedding day itself we had our ceremony in the Hortus (this was just magical) the sun as shining, we had a string quartet and it was so special. All the flowers were in bloom in the Hortus as well so it complimented everything we added in with our florist. Our drinks reception was in the pool park all the food was class and then we had our dinner in the Pavillon which was unbelievable! We were a bit worried about what the Irish would say about the food but everyone has been raving about it, we have 2 pasta courses and then a Beef Fillet - every course had seconds offered to all our guests.. incredible. I've never had so many compliments about the wine we selected which was the local wine it was unreal. Our cake display was outside where we had fireworks and then danced the night away in the Pavillon. On the 3rd day we had a BBQ meal in the Pavillon again the food was delicious and we had drinks flowing for the whole day. The staff were the same staff for the whole weekend each one of them cared so much about us and our guests wanting us to have the best time which we did. People are saying it was the best wedding they have been too!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone at Castello di Montignano, it really felt like our home for the whole weekend - if you are consdeirng booking your wedding here, do!! We got married in Castello Di Montignano in August! We are from Ireland and had 136 guests. Everything was amazing. I cannot recommend it enough!!

The food was 10/10. So many of us guests mentioned how good it was and how much was offered all weekend. We had a pizza party, wedding meal and a BBQ. Each meal was incredible!
Having accommodation on site was brilliant as we could celebrate with guests all weekend. We also had guests at other locations and Castello helped us to organise transfers which made it so easy.

We had the most magical experience at Castello Di Montignano in May 2025. Our 3 day wedding celebration exceeded all expectations. Apart from the stunning setting the flexibility of the staff both before and during our celebrations, the fact that nothing felt like too much trouble made us feel totally at ease and relaxed. In fact a few people commented that I was the most relaxed bride they had ever seen 😂that was because had the venue took care of everything. David in made me feel like nothing I asked was too much trouble 🥰. It felt easier than organising a wedding in the uk as we had amazing recommendations for all suppliers - I would like to mentioned Marianna flowers as being utterly amazing like a florist: wedding planner and super creative! Food was out of this world all our guests commented on that and in fact that it was the most amazing and generous wedding they had ever been to! Couldn’t recommend the Castello any more would love to do it all again.

We and our guests enjoyed our wedding at Castello di Montignano. The setting was beautiful, the staff were very helpful and the food was delicious!

We decided to do an abroad wedding within 6 months of getting engaged and it was easy to do this thanks to the team at Castello.

We got the venue, food and drink together with the accommodation for our guests, all of this for us was a game changer. We loved how adaptable the castle was and we could truly tailor make our wedding weekend to the fullest. The rooms were really nice and all felt grand! All of our guests commented on how beautiful the rooms & overall castle grounds were.

David, the Wedding Co-ordinator at the venue is great, he really takes everything in his stride and helps you execute the wedding to every fine detail. There is a small additional fee to work with him, but it’s worth it to ensure a smooth running of the day & the weeks/months building up to your day.

The Castle has a list of preferred suppliers, which is very helpful with planning. They hold a tasting experience a couple of months before your big day , where you stay at the Castle and try out all the food & drink.

We scored our overall review down on professionalism just since the waiters and waitresses joined into our wedding party later in the evening, and then looked pretty worse for wear the next day. This was ok on the night since we had the time of our life, but some couples might not be so forgiving and in hindsight it wasn’t acceptable.


Overall we would recommend the Castello. The staff are friendly , attentive and want you to have the best time ever. You really can create the wedding of your dreams here, as we did.

Nothing was ever too much to ask, everyone was so friendly and welcoming and made us feel like the castle was ours!

A dream come true. Our 70 guests arrived on a Friday morning in September, and stayed until Monday, and we didn’t lift a FINGER for 3 days straight. The team were the most flexible team we’d come across (and we must have spoken to every venue in Italy!). We worried about the weather, but the back up plans were endless at no extra charge. Food was 100/10, drinks were amazing, vendors were incredible, and we were never upsold anything unnecessary by the team- they gave us honest, really valuable advice and helped us create the dream weekend itinerary within budget. When people say you feel at home as soon as you arrive, it’s true. We spoke to lots of couples before booking as we were nervous about booking without visiting in person, and they all said the same thing - Montignano is the best decision you could possible make for an authentic, beautiful, rustic Italian wedding.

Our wedding over three months ago at Castello di Montignano was pure magic from start to finish!
From the moment we booked the venue, the staff at Castello were so helpful in every way to assist us in planning our perfect wedding weekend!
Alongside planning all the events at the castle, the staff also assisted us in sourcing florals, additional accommodation for guest, bus transfers etc! All these aspects really helped us, when planning from Ireland!
As our special day approached, all the plans and visions really started to come to life and we were so excited arriving in Umbria!

To have our wedding at Castello di Montignano was nothing short of amazing. All our friends and loved ones had an amazing time and already two of my friends have asked about the contact information and looking to have their own weddings there.
Food, drinks and atmosphere was 10/10 and we wish we could do it again.

Wonderful wedding experience! We had an amazing weekend in the end of September that started with a pizza night in the Hortus on Friday and ended on the dance floor 5am Sunday morning.

You are really king and queen of the castle and the crew can fix you everything you need. There is plenty of food during servings, the aperitif menu is very very good! I recommend the local wines and if you don’t like the one in stock, they can order others for a fair fee. They can serve alcohol all night and the cocktail deal is amazing as you can choose which drinks they serve in advance.

The locations are beautiful and we had the ceremony in the cozy and wonderful Hortus area. You can lodge up to 70 people in and around the Castello (walking distance). If not the bus services they recommend will drive all night to your chosen destination.

For years I was following Castello Di Montignano dreaming if I was to ever get married that would be where I would have my wedding! September 18 2024 my dream came true! We had the most wonderful 3 days at Castello with our family and friends. We was all welcomed with both arms from Giuseppe and his team. Giuseppe was fantastic with myself and my husband making sure we had a stress free day ensuring everything we wanted was possible with no problems. Everyone to this day is still talking about how amazing it was. I cannot wait to go back and see the team and Giuseppe we have definitely made friends forever! We had our September 2024 wedding at Castello, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. From the moment we arrived, Castello didn’t just feel like a venue—it became our home for this special occasion. The stunning surroundings and warm atmosphere made it the perfect setting for our celebration.

Our guests are still raving about the experience, saying it felt like something out of a movie. Many of them have commented on the magic of the location, the beauty of the castle and its incredible rustic vibe and the impeccable service. The ambiance, coupled with the incredible scenery, left a lasting impression on everyone who attended.

Castello truly exceeded our expectations in every way, and we will forever cherish the memories we made there. We are deeply grateful for the entire experience—it was everything we hoped for and more.

We got married in CDM in September 2024 and honestly had the best few days of our lives! Everything was amazing, from the set up of venue for all three days (we had a welcome dinner the night before, the wedding day itself and also a pizza party the following day), the decorations, the music, the food and wine, etc.

All of our guests also commented on how amazing the few days were and that is definitely thanks to the experience and professionalism of the team in CDM, who made sure that everything ran smoothly from start to finish.

The owner Giuseppe, and his team (notably Eva & Ilaria in particular) are truly one of a kind! The attitude of this venue is that when you book it, you are the "Lords / Ladies of the Castello" and it is completely true! There is no end to the flexibility of the setups or the customisation of any aspect of the wedding (if you want a pink elephant, it can probably be done).

It is a very unique event space that has been created here and we love absolutely everything about it.
