Brighling Park is a Georgian manor house and historic country estate in Robertsbridge, East Sussex. It is run by the owners, Gardie and Diana Grissell. It has been in the family for over 100 years. We provide a site with magnificent views across the Sussex Weald to the Southdowns at Beachy Head. It is a dry hire whereby you make your own preparations. Included is parking, electricity, mains water, a campsite and an en suite room for the bride and groom in the main house.
Marquee Wedding Reception Venue
Brightling Park offers you exclusivity, allowing you to choose your own caterers and suppliers to create your perfect event. For example, if your wedding or party is on a Saturday, you can start preparing from the previous Wednesday and dismantle by the following Tuesday. So you have this delightful site to yourselves for a whole week. You can camp out in the woodland garden, have picnics and barbecues while preparing the site and have a lunch party or brunch the following day to clear any hangovers!
We will always be available to help out if there are any problems, and we are happy to assist you in any way we can.
Ceremonies
At present, we do not hold a license for civil ceremonies, but these can be arranged at local registry offices. St. Thomas a Becket Church, Brightling, has direct access to Brightling Park through a special door in the churchyard wall. Blessings of your wedding can be arranged in the church. Your guests will then be able to walk directly to your reception.

The perfect venue!!
Gardie and Diana were the perfect hosts and very accommodating and were there to offer help with anything they could. They made preparing for our big day much easier.
The grounds themselves were beautiful and the views were picturesque.
There were little nooks and crannies that our photographer took us to for our photos that I did't even realise were there.
We also stayed at the manor house on our wedding night, which again was perfect. An extremely large bedroom with everything you would need including a large en suite bathroom.
I would highly recommend Brightling Park to anyone looking to get married in the East Sussex countryside. You couldn't ask for anywhere better.

I was bought up at Brighling Park and have lived here with hmy wife Diana for the past 40 years. We are very flexible and will do everything we can to make your wedding as easy, hastle free and enjoyable as possible.
Diana is always on hand to fix any unforseen problems. She is married to Gardie and has lived at Brightling Park for over 40 years. She also keeps horses and is a keen rider.
