1. JW PEI Bridal Satin Low Back Maxi Dress
If your bridal Pinterest board is filled with simple satin gowns, this JW PEI number deserves a spot on your shortlist. The clean silhouette keeps things classic from the front, while the low back, draped detailing and oversized floral accent give it just enough drama to feel special.
Wear it for a chic city wedding, contemporary hotel celebration or minimalist ceremony where you want your dress to make an impact without relying on lots of embellishment.
- Sizing: 6-14
2. Vila Satin Cowl Neck Maxi Dress
Proof that your wedding dress really doesn't have to cost hundreds – let alone thousands – this Vila slip is a brilliantly affordable option. The cowl neckline and fluid satin finish give it that effortlessly pared-back '90s feel that would work beautifully for a registry office or intimate wedding. It's also one we'd bookmark for bridesmaids, a rehearsal dinner or your day-two celebrations if you've already found your main dress.
- Sizing: 6-18
3. ASOS DESIGN Crystal Square Neck Mini Dress
Who says you have to get married in a maxi? Covered in ornate crystal embellishment, this square-neck mini has serious party bride energy. It could absolutely work as your main dress for a fun city or Vegas-style wedding, but we particularly love it as an outfit change for the reception. Swap your veil for statement earrings, add a great pair of heels and you're dance-floor ready.
- Sizing: 4-18
4. Six Stories Pleated Plunge Maxi Dress
There's something wonderfully romantic about the combination of delicate pleating, ruffles and a plunging neckline here. It feels softer and more relaxed than a heavily structured traditional gown, making it a lovely choice for a summer wedding. We can particularly picture it at a destination celebration, garden ceremony or countryside wedding with plenty of flowers and an outdoor reception.
- Sizing: 6-18
5. Six Stories Embellished Diamante Mini Dress
If your wedding wardrobe extends well beyond the ceremony itself, you'll get plenty of opportunities to wear this diamante-covered mini. It's made for the fun parts of getting married: your hen party, rehearsal dinner, evening outfit change or day-two party. Add platform heels and statement earrings and you've got a bridal look that's ready for the dance floor.
- Sizing: 6-18
6. Six Stories One Shoulder Asymmetric Maxi Dress
For the bride who wants to move away from traditional bridalwear altogether, this fringed Six Stories dress is a very fun alternative. The asymmetric one-shoulder neckline, thigh-high split and statement fringe give it a glamorous, slightly bohemian feel – and just imagine that hemline moving on the dance floor.
We'd choose this for a destination wedding, Ibiza-style celebration or relaxed outdoor ceremony followed by a very good party.
- Sizing: 6-18
7. JW PEI Bridal Low Cowl Back Mini Dress
Sequins, a mini hemline and a low cowl back: this isn't a dress designed for quietly standing in the corner. It's a particularly good choice for an evening outfit change when you want something you can actually dance in, but we could just as easily see it at a hen party or rehearsal dinner.
Getting married somewhere hot? Add barely-there sandals and it would also make a seriously cool destination or beach wedding dress.
- Sizing: 6-14
8. ASOS DESIGN High Neck Maxi Wedding Dress
If you've always imagined yourself walking down the aisle in a classic floor-length gown, you don't necessarily need a four-figure bridal budget to make it happen. The high neckline, streamlined silhouette and train give this ASOS DESIGN dress a timeless quality that feels far more traditional than its high-street origins might suggest.
A great option for a church ceremony, country house wedding or any more formal celebration.
- Sizing: 4-18
9. Six Stories Bridal Halter Neck Maxi Dress
The scarf neckline is one of those details that instantly makes a simple satin dress feel more fashion-forward. Combined with the halterneck and twisted front, this Six Stories gown strikes a lovely balance between contemporary and timeless.
We'd particularly rate it for a modern city wedding, stylish restaurant reception or destination ceremony – especially if your taste leans more cool and understated than princess bride.
- Sizing: 6-18
10. ASOS DESIGN Fringe Square Neck Maxi Dress
If you're looking for a dress that delivers detail without going down the traditional lace-and-tulle route, this is a strong contender. The square neckline keeps the silhouette polished, while the all-over embellishment and fringe add texture, movement and plenty of impact.
It would be particularly gorgeous for an Art Deco-inspired hotel wedding, glamorous evening ceremony or celebration where you want your dress to look every bit as good on the dance floor as it does walking down the aisle.
- Sizing: 4-18
11. ASOS DESIGN Curve Embellished Square Neck Maxi Dress
For maximalists, this is the sort of wedding dress that does the accessorising for you. The ornate crystal embellishment brings all the sparkle, while the square neckline and maxi silhouette stop it feeling too much like a party dress. We'd keep everything else relatively simple and let the gown do the talking – particularly for a glamorous hotel, stately home or black-tie wedding.
- Sizing: 18-30
12. ASOS DESIGN Square Neck Full Skirt Midi Wedding Dress
There's something wonderfully Audrey Hepburn-esque about a structured midi wedding dress. The square neckline and full skirt give this one a polished, vintage-inspired silhouette without veering into fancy dress territory. It's ideal for a registry office or chic city wedding, and the shorter length also gives you the perfect excuse to invest in a really fabulous pair of wedding shoes.
- Sizing: 14-18
13. ASOS DESIGN Bardot Maxi Wedding Dress
For full-on old-school romance, it's hard to beat an off-the-shoulder neckline. The Bardot shape and draped satin give this gown an expensive-looking, timeless finish that would suit everything from a grand country house to a candlelit winter wedding. Add a long veil and simple jewellery if you want to lean into the classic bridal feel.
- Sizing: 14-18
14. Dream Sister Jane Bridal Bow Maxi Dress
Dream Sister Jane is the brand to know if your version of bridal style is romantic, whimsical and a little bit unexpected, and this bow jacquard dress delivers exactly that. The textured fabric and bow detailing mean there's plenty to look at without needing lots of additional styling. We can see this looking particularly lovely at a romantic country house, English garden or spring wedding.
- Sizing: 6-14
15. ASOS DESIGN Bandeau Structured Wedding Dress
Minimalist brides, this one's for you. The strapless bandeau neckline and structured silhouette feel clean, modern and refreshingly fuss-free – the sort of gown you can completely transform depending on how you accessorise it. Keep things pared back for a contemporary gallery or city wedding, or add a dramatic veil and statement jewellery if you want to bring a little more ceremony to the look.
- Sizing: 4-18
16. ASOS DESIGN Ornate Pearl Maxi Wedding Dress
Pearls may be a bridal classic, but there's nothing particularly traditional about the way they're used in this ASOS Design dress. The ornate embellishment is paired with a sleek column silhouette and cut-away waist, giving the whole dress a much more contemporary feel. It's a brilliant choice for anyone who wants sparkle without sequins, and we'd particularly love it for a glamorous evening, hotel or black-tie wedding.
- Sizing: 4-18
17. ASOS DESIGN One Shoulder Grecian Wedding Dress
If you're planning to say your vows somewhere considerably sunnier than the UK, put this one on your shortlist. The one-shoulder silhouette and Grecian-inspired draping have a relaxed elegance that feels perfectly suited to a destination wedding, whether that's a Greek island, Italian villa or ceremony overlooking the sea. It's unfussy enough for warmer weather but still feels special enough to be unmistakably bridal.
- Sizing: 4-18
Does ASOS Sell Wedding Dresses?
Yes, ASOS has a dedicated wedding dress edit, with everything from simple satin minis and modern midis to lace, embellished and floor-length bridal gowns. Alongside its own ASOS DESIGN styles, you'll find wedding dresses from other brands stocked on the site, making it a particularly good place to look if you want something more affordable or less traditional than a classic bridal boutique gown.
It's also worth checking back regularly, as the selection changes throughout the year and popular sizes and styles can sell out quickly.
Are ASOS Wedding Dresses Good Quality?
ASOS wedding dresses can be a great option if you're looking for a stylish dress without spending traditional bridal-gown prices, but quality and fit will naturally vary between designs and brands.
Pay close attention to the product description, fabric composition and customer reviews where available, and zoom in on the product photography to get a better idea of details such as lace, embellishment and lining. We'd also recommend ordering with plenty of time before your wedding so you can properly try the dress on – ideally with your wedding underwear and shoes – and decide whether it needs any alterations.
How Much Are ASOS Wedding Dresses?
One of the biggest appeals of buying your wedding dress from ASOS is the price. At the time of writing, its bridal edit includes styles starting from around £40, with prices increasing for more elaborate gowns and designs from other brands.
You'll find everything from inexpensive white mini dresses that could work for a registry office or evening look to full-length wedding gowns, so it's a particularly useful place to browse if you're working with a smaller wedding dress budget or looking for a second dress. Prices and stock change frequently, though, so always check ASOS for the current price before buying.
Does ASOS Have Bridesmaid Dresses?
Yes. ASOS has an extensive dedicated bridesmaid collection, covering everything from satin and chiffon maxi dresses to midi styles, and there are plenty of colours and silhouettes to choose from.
It's particularly useful if you're planning a mix-and-match bridal party, as you can choose different styles within a similar colour palette rather than asking everyone to wear exactly the same dress. At the time of writing, ASOS has hundreds of bridesmaid styles available from ASOS DESIGN and other brands.
What Is ASOS EDITION?
ASOS EDITION is one of ASOS's more occasion-focused labels, known for statement dresses, tailoring and elevated detailing. Historically, its bridal and occasion pieces have included the sort of embellishment, embroidery and more dramatic silhouettes that feel a step up from everyday ASOS designs.
However, ASOS's current wedding dress edit is primarily organised across ASOS DESIGN and the other brands it stocks, rather than presenting ASOS EDITION as a standalone bridal collection. If you've spotted an older ASOS EDITION wedding dress online, bear in mind that the exact style may no longer be part of the current range.
ASOS Wedding Dress Sizing, Returns and Alterations
One of the advantages of buying a wedding dress online is being able to try it on at home without the pressure of a bridal appointment. Check the size guide on the individual product page rather than automatically ordering your usual size, and look at the model measurements and fit information where provided. If you're between sizes, you may want to order more than one to compare - just make sure you're aware of the current returns terms first.
For UK orders, ASOS currently gives customers 28 days from delivery or collection to place and send a return. Qualifying UK returns are free for ASOS account holders, while guest orders currently have a £3.95 returns fee. Items also need to comply with ASOS's Original Condition and Fair Use policies, so be careful with make-up, fake tan and perfume while trying on a white dress.
And remember that an ASOS wedding dress doesn't have to fit perfectly straight out of the parcel. A good alterations specialist can adjust things like the hem, straps, waist or bust to make an affordable dress look and feel much more bespoke. Just don't have anything altered until you're certain you're keeping it, as an altered dress won't be in its original condition for a return.
