Based in Watford, Hertfordshire, Janell Yeo is an elegant, versatile, award-winning violinist who delights in handcrafting unforgettable musical memories.

Classically trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal Academy of Music in London, she has 25 years of experience performing in world-class concert venues across the UK and beyond. She has also performed for celebrations such as proposals, weddings, award ceremonies, gala dinners, and more, delighting guests with her unique blend of classical, Jazz, Film music, Disney, Afropop, R&B, and Pop covers.

In addition to being in demand as a recording artist at Abbey Road Studios and making live appearances on primetime BBC Radio 3, Janell is a regular artist in prestigious venues such as Shangri-La The Shard, Andaz Liverpool Street, Cliveden House, and Blenheim Palace, as well as countless other manor houses, private clubs, and five-star hotels across the UK.

Recent musical highlights include:

  • A music video with Nia Archives for her BRIT Rising Star Award nomination
  • The Finale of the BBC2 competition ‘Ultimate Wedding Planner’ with Toby Hawker (The House of Toby)

Prices are all-inclusive, with return travel expenses, equipment, and Public Liability Insurance included in the total quote.

How far in advance should I contact you?

To ensure availability, please get in touch as soon as you're able to; a good amount of advance notice would be 6 months. For more urgent bookings, please send a message and we'll see what we can do!

Is it possible to request something that's not in the repertoire?

Yes, this is definitely possible! However, advance notice and discussion is required, so get in touch at your earliest convenience if you have lots of special request songs in mind

What's your experience?

I have been classically trained in top music schools and conservatoires since I was 5 years old, and performed in the most prestigious venues across London, the UK and beyond, and even for presidents!

Do you have your own equipment?

Yes

Do you need specific materials or conditions to offer your service?

Yes, i can play outdoors during warmer months if there's a shelter from sunlight, rain, and wind to protect my antique violin & bow. I also need a safe & secure space to store my cases and change outfit

Can you travel?

Yes, london and Home Counties (Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Essex, Buckinghamshire, Surrey, Kent). Areas further than these are possible, subject to discussion and logistic feasibility

Is there a charge for travelling?

No

Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

Yes

Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?

What is the length of time of the act?

Totally up to you! I have done performances ranging from one song up to 50 songs

How much time do you need to prepare for an act?

I aim to arrive minimum 30 minutes before the start of my performance

Do you do open-air acts?

Do you charge per hour or per event?

Per event

How do you charge extra time?

By prior discussion, as the requirements of each and every client's event is unique!

What are the forms of payment?

Bank transfer is the usual mode of payment, however payment via cheque and cash can also be arranged/accepted
