There can be few more amazing venues to hold your civil wedding or blessing than the Fitzrovia Chapel. Centrally located in the heart of London, yet intimate and unique in flavour, the Grade II*-listed chapel exudes grace, beauty, history and elegant charm. When you take a look through our pictures or come for a visit you’ll discover that the chapel is truly the kind of place where memories are made.

The Fitzrovia Chapel features a vaulted golden, starry ceiling, gorgeous stained-glass windows and intricate marble and mosaics. These give you the sheen of opulence and individuality your wedding day deserves. The chapel can also create memorable moments, as this masterpiece of architecture will surround you and your loved ones from beginning to end. Hundreds of stars on the ceiling shimmer with the light that softly infuses the chapel. You can toast your special day alongside 78 family and friends with drinks at the chapel after the ceremony.

We are a registered venue for civil wedding ceremonies. This means that you can be legally married at the chapel if your ceremony is officiated by registrars from the London Borough of Westminster. This is a civil ceremony. Please ensure you reserve your date on our own calendar, confirm our hire charge, and ask us all your questions before you do this.

However, you may wish to do something slightly different. You may like to have a blessing in the presence of an independent celebrant or religious representative, for example. This is a celebration rather than a legal occasion. Some couples take care of the legal part at a Registry Office but have a day to remember at the chapel as well.

We regularly hold Wedding Open House events where we will have prosecco, guided tours and the chapel will be lit by candlelight. You can just come along and don't need to book. Ask us for more information on upcoming events.
