My name is Mary Crooks and I am known as ‘The Torbay Celebrant’.

I am based in the gorgeous Torbay, South Devon. So blessed to live here!

I’m an Irish/Scottish celebrant and I cover: Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset areas. If you are somewhere else in the country I travel!

I trained with ICPC in Yorkshire in May 2022. I gained my NOCN in Celebrancy and I’m just about to finish my City & Guilds Celebrancy qualification. I’m a fully insured celebrant and a member of The Association of Independent Celebrants. I love learning and every day is a school day for me.

I am passionate about being a celebrant! Spreading love and happiness wherever I go. I always try my best to bring the good vibes 😎

I am a published poet and writer. No two scripts I write are ever the same. You may find my books on Amazon ‘Love Life Poetry’ and ‘Lily the Leprechaun’

I used to be a lecturer and Media teacher. I’m also a freelance television broadcaster. Working as a TV Camera Operator. I film things like: Wimbledon, Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch, Men and Women’s Rugby matches. I used to work on Big Brother when it first came out. I have many funny tales to tell!
