From our very first conversation, Debbie was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was responsive, professional, warm and always has a smile and a great sense of humour which immediately put us at ease.

She spent so much time getting to know us, really listening to our story and what we wanted from our ceremony. She created a beautifully personal script, suggested some wonderful ideas we hadn't even considered and captured us perfectly.

On the day, Debbie delivered the most incredible ceremony. Despite having 100 guests, she made it feel intimate, relaxed and genuinely personal. So many of our family and friends commented afterwards on how beautiful, funny and heartfelt the service was. You can tell that Debbie has so much experience doing this, and made everyone feel at ease, in the lead up to the wedding and throughout the ceremony. Very professional.

We filled out the questionnaire for Debbie, then met up for a coffee to discuss ideas, where she came with some great options for rituals, traditions and humorous moments to pick and choose from. We were able to collaborate and edit the script directly so that it was just as we wanted on the day, which was perfect for us.

On the day, Debbie was ahead of the game, so that by the time I (the groom) came to the ceremony room, she had already spoken with the relevant groomsmen about their parts and all was sorted!

The whole process was very relaxed and put us at ease. Debbie came for a rehearsal of the ceremony at the venue a week or two before the big day, which made the bride and her mum feel much more confident on the day, having practiced timings with the music, walking speeds, where to stand and sit, etc.

10/10 would choose again.

We’re so glad we had Debbie as our wedding celebrant. She was really professional and always made time for us, and patiently guided us through the journey even when we had no idea what we were expecting. Debbie gave us many great ideas for the ceremony — we ended up doing a ring warming, which was really meaningful for us and our families.

On the day, things didn’t go exactly to plan because of a sudden rain and the ceremony was delayed, but Debbie handled it so well. She improvised so much on the spot and made everything feel smooth, warm, and personal. She completely owned the space and brought such a lovely, calming presence. We met with Debbie on a number of occasions before the wedding to write and develop the wedding script and also discuss and agree our needs. Debbie was incredible. She was able to capture and articulate our story beautifully in the ceremony. She was very proactive, on top of every detail and took away a huge amount of stress for us. During the preparation phase of the ceremony she asked us the right questions to get to know us and had prepared ideas for readings and had excellent suggestions on how to involve important people to us into our ceremony. The script and readings fit our story and unique aspects of our relationship perfectly. Our guests loved the ceremony, and many commented how beautiful it was.

My daughter got married in an idyllic historic villa in Tuscany in August and we couldn't be more thrilled with our choice of Debbie as celebrant. Having worked as a TV presenter for many decades, we trusted that Debbie wouldn’t be overwhelmed by 200 guests, 11 bridesmaids, 10 groomsmen, 2 dog ringbearers, a live singer, multiple readings and audience participation but her broadcasting experience also gave her an uncanny ability to think on her feet and nip any crisis in the bud, amongst others - the makeup stain on the bridesmaid's dress - sorted, the wedding ring that didn't fit (Debbie lent her own!) Truly the Mary Poppins of celebrants!
Debbie made the ceremony incredibly personal by getting to know the bride and groom so well beforehand, she was a great calming influence on my extrovert daughter and her far more reserved fiancé and wove the details of their whirlwind romance into a ceremony which had us laughing and crying in equal measures. It was a perfect magical day and Debbie had a big part in creating that.
