Hi, I'm Noushien, also known locally as The Cake Lady. I own The Village Cakery, a charming cake shop in the heart of Churchdown, Gloucester. At The Village Cakery, we specialise in handmade, bespoke buttercream wedding cakes designed to perfectly suit your special day. Each cake is crafted with care and attention to detail, and we work closely with you to design a cake that reflects your style, flavours and celebration.

All our wedding cakes are four-layer sponge cakes finished with simple, elegant decoration such as naked, semi-naked or textured buttercream designs. As every cake is unique, final pricing is confirmed once your design and flavour choices are discussed. Alongside weddings, we also create custom celebration cakes for birthdays, anniversaries, christenings and corporate events, all available by pre-order, and our cake shop offers daily cakes, coffee, local ice cream and much more.

The Village Cakery proudly holds a 5★ Food Hygiene Rating and a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate, and was a finalist in the SoGlos Awards 2025 for Best Café & Food & Drink Producer and was awarded 'Highly Commended' in the Glos Foodie Awards 2025 for Best Café.
