We asked Mel to make the cakes for our wedding off the back of her being very local to us and having great Google reviews - we are both so glad that we did.

Part of our wedding day was a boat trip after the ceremony to the reception venue - we wanted people to have cake on the boat (side note, would massively recommend this slightly unusual timing of post-ceremony cake, saves a fortune on canapés, everyone really enjoys the cake).

Mel was fantastic in working with us to make a 6” cutting cake, and then some pre-cut sheet cakes so that we could serve them on the boat. Mel is so on it with the details that really matter… the cake being dropped off on the day (at two different spots) went without a hitch. The cake topper decoration was exactly what we wanted despite Mel having to work out exactly what was in our heads!

The even bigger bonus, which we completely weren’t expecting at the time was that we were able to have three different cake flavours

Oh, and it’s all vegan… genuinely not that you’d know, it’s all great cake.

Mel was able to meet our budgetary needs while creating a cake that was absolutely perfect for the couple. She was also so diligent about allergies. She was on time and so, so, so easy to work with!
