The Maplewood Bakery are based in Berkshire, England and specialise in completely bespoke wedding cakes and dessert tables. Owner and chief baker, Eleanor Hyatt, handcrafts all her delicious cakes and tailors her designs to her clients’ various styles and wedding themes. Eleanor believes that choosing what your cake will look and taste like should be one of the most exciting aspects of planning your wedding day. Services Offered
The Maplewood Bakery provides bespoke cakes for both intimate gatherings of 25 people and large-scale weddings for over 150 guests. Eleanor’s signature cake flavours comprise light, fluffy sponges with delicious home-made fillings such as strawberry jam and lemon curd, all finished with whipped Swiss meringue buttercream. She loves to decorate her cakes with all things natural such as fresh flowers and seasonal fruit and always keeps this in keeping with your wedding venue and other decorative arrangements. Her beautiful dessert displays include everything from cupcakes and macarons to tarts, financiers, and madeleines. Beautiful wedding cake
I can’t recommend Eleanor enough for her amazing cake for our wedding. We had a really nice and personal tasting at her home and she was very flexible with our choices.
From there such a great person to work with. No stress or anything to worry about. On the day of the wedding she set up the cake and it looked amazing as a centrepiece. The compliments from the guests were non stop, every flavour was amazing.

Beautiful and delicious wedding cake
Eleanor at the Maplewood Bakery made the cake for our wedding this weekend, and it was beautiful and delicious! From the outset, Eleanor was easy to communicate with, and we had a great tasting session at her home to decide flavours (one of our favourite wedding planning moments!). Her prides are also far more reasonable than many others we looked at!
We went for three tiers in lemon and elderflower, chocolate salted caramel, and (our favourite) white chocolate, raspberry and Passionfruit, and some chocolate cupcakes that were gluten-free and vegan. There was more than enough to go around and we even got to take some home to enjoy the next day. It was absolutely perfect, and all our guests commented on how good it tasted. Our friends with dietary requirements also commented on how amazing the cupcakes were too and they were so happy to be catered for.

Stunning wedding cake for our big day
Eleanor made the cake for our wedding on 14th September.
We had a three tier cake, which Eleanor decorated to match our light blue and white wedding theme. Eleanor also worked directly with our florist to add fresh flowers to the cake. It looked absolutely stunning.
The three cake flavours (we had carrot, chocolate and white choc, passionfruit and raspberry) were all absolutely delicious. The sponges were light and moist, and the icings/ fillings were incredible.
We loved our cake, and are very sad it's all gone now! Thanks Eleanor!

So yummy and such a good service
We used Maplewood Bakery for our wedding cake and it was to die for that we had to fight our guests off to get a piece. The tasting session before our wedding day gave us such a good variety of flavours that it was hard to pick our favourite. We would highly recommend the Maplewood Bakery for all your cake needs!

Perfect experience

Top quality cake and customer service!
We had a small intimate wedding a few weeks ago and we chose Maplewood Bakery to make our cake. It was all very spontaneous and pretty much last minute, so I was beyond happy and grateful that Eleanor had time to accommodate us! A week later, we were already tasting the cakes and discussing the flavours! Eleanor is such a warm, friendly and talented person, and it was an absolute pleasure dealing with her! Her cakes are absolutely gorgeous (I just had to look at her pictures and say "this one!") and so tasty (amazing list of flavours - not so easy to decide:))! Our wedding cake was gorgeous, elegant and delicious - it really exceeded our expectations! I was so grateful that Eleanor delivered it to the venue and took all the hassle off our hands! I would highly recommend this company to anyone, who's looking for a beautiful, elegant cake and friendly customer service! X

Amazing cake!
I found Eleanor through hitched when looking for a cake maker for our wedding. From the start Eleanor was helpful and responsive. We went for our cake tasting and had a cup of tea and went over ideas for our cake. Eleanor was so helpful and friendly. We immediately booked Eleanor for our wedding cake. Our cake was not only stunning it also tasted amazing! The cake went very quickly on the night and everyone enjoyed the three different flavours we had! Thank you so much Eleanor!

Excellent experience!
Eleanor designed and made the cake for our wedding day. Overall we were delighted with the experience, from meeting her in person to sample various flavours the in person set up and delivery on the day. Not only was the cake itself very tasty (rose & pistachio + white chocolate and passion fruit) but Eleanor was attentive to the style we wanted and also catered for specific dietary requirements.

Wedding Cake
Eleanor did our amazing wedding cake in August. From our first conversation she was brilliant, nothing was too much! We had a lovely cake tasting session in her home which made us confident that she was the one we wanted to make our cake. We had so many compliments on not only the look of our cake but more importantly the taste! The passionfruit, raspberry and white chocolate tier was a massive hit and a personal favourite! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Eleanor to any of our family and friends looking for an occasion cake. Thank you Eleanor!
