It’s so sad to be writing such a terrible review but this was the only shop I could find a sample of a fairly new dress to try on and I loved it, despite being pushed to try on more expensive dresses that I voiced I did not like. I was told my tan lines needed sorting on my first appointment and that I needed to order within 1 day or my dress may not be delivered in time (8 months in advance). They insisted on getting me to size up despite my protests then I had to insist to get more alterations to fit. I couldn’t get ahold of anyone for 2 weeks after my dress arrived to book alterations, despite the initial rush to order and paying the balance within a day of the request. Unfortunately, I dreaded my alterations appointments as they told me I was massively lop-sided, that my veil (brought elsewhere) was wrong for my dress, my necklace was inappropriate (pictured), and that despite insisting that I wanted a wrist loop and them eventually agreeing, on collection a week before my wedding they told me they hadn’t added one. My bustle broke after less than 30 mins and I had to carry my train by the hanger loop. Not that I let any of that ruin my day, despite having to adapt my first dance as I couldn’t raise one arm! Please listen to your brides and do not insult their choices, they may not be to your taste but it’s their day.

I cannot recommend Sophie Grace Bridal enough. Mo made the whole experience amazing for me. I was struggling with the whole trying wedding dresses on experience and having been to two shops before here, from the minute I first spoke to Mo on the phone I knew this experience was going to be different. The location is brilliant because you do not have the stress of parking. Inside is beautifully light and relaxed and plenty of dresses to choose from.
Mo straight away put me at ease, and I really enjoyed my whole experience of trying dresses on. I found my dream dress and everything else was so seamless from here, with plenty of notifications of arrival of the dress and then dress fittings. I cannot recommend them enough.

I’m going to be honest here because unfortunately my experience didn’t reflect the other reviews or my expectations of the day.
When we arrived, it was just a brown unit in industrial estate, a woman shoved a thermometer & clipboard in our face without saying hello and walked off till another woman greeted us. We were very pressured to make a decision on a dress right there and then, as if we couldn’t wait even a couple of days to decide and were told other bridal shops wouldn’t be able to get us a dress and it turned into a very hard sell which was uncomfortable for both me and my guest. Truthfully, a lot of the dresses & room were tacky. We weren’t allowed to take photos, the saleswoman had no respect for privacy or modesty and she bitched about another bride doing a fitting who had put on weight and said they ‘expected more from her’ which was so uncomfortable.
We made the best of it, but left feeling stressed & having been to another amazing appointment it’s so clear that the experience should be more chilled & professional.

An absolute joy! What a lovely experience. My daughter and I went to Sophie Grace Bridal and were greeted by Mo, who was just superb. She knew the stock intimately and clearly is very experienced in meeting the needs of the Bride. We were unhurried and listened to throughout, culminating in purchasing 'the' dress and enjoying a glass of champagne to celebrate (Sophie Grace had just received their licence and we became the first customers to enjoy this and very nice it was too). Thank you Mo and the Sophie Grace team, we have no hesitation in recommending you and will do so.

Amazing selection of dresses and amazing after care to ensure the dress I chose was just right on the day, all the little extras and clever design elements really helped. Service is sublime. This is a local company that truly cares - highly recommend.

There were a number of dresses she loved - all very reasonably priced - and it was difficult to choose. There was no pressure to make a decision - they would have been very happy for her to make another appointment.
I have to mention Jackie and the seamstresses who altered not only the wedding dress but three bridesmaids and the Mother of the Bride outfit as well - their work was beautiful and although the adjustments looked minor, they made a huge difference to the way the dresses looked and felt. Our whole experience with the Sophie Grace team was lovely and I'd certainly recommend them.
