Hester lily makeup artistry is one of our top makeup artists here at hitched and is a wedding makeup Artist based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. With over nine years of experience in the makeup industry, and a Bachelor in arts degree, Hester provides a bespoke and high-quality service sure to leave you with a modern, glowing and polished look. Hester only uses the best products, making sure they are tried and tested to give a flawless and luxurious finish. Hester lily makeup artistry has a very calm, friendly, yet professional demeanour and will be there for you every step of your wedding journey.
Services Offered
Hester provides a bespoke wedding makeup service for you and your bridal party on the wedding day and can happily cater for any amount, dependant on time. Hester also has a list of other suppliers that would be available to help if the party is so large she should require an extra pair of hands. Hester can happily travel to your venue and takes a minimum of three clients per booking in peak wedding season. She will conduct a trial around 3-4 months prior to your big day and this will be when you work together to create your vision. All brides will receive a complimentary touch up bag to ensure you are confident you are feeling amazing for your whole day and all other party members will receive a lipstick top up. Hester also offers one to one lessons and occasion makeup services in the heart of Cheltenham.

Absolutely Amazing!
Hester is absolutely fantastic! The second I started planning my wedding, I knew I wanted to book Hester along with Leanne(leannelishmanartistry).
I was very fortunate to be part of a bridal party for another wedding who also used Hester, everyone absolutely loved Hester and the magic she created with the wedding party! It was a no brainer when it came to looking for the perfect artist for my wedding.
Hester is honestly so lovely and knows how to make you feel comfortable. She made sure to listen to what each individual party member wanted, but also provided advice along the way.

Amazing from start to finish!
After having my make-up done by Hester as a bridesmaid in 2022 I knew I needed to book her for my own wedding in 2025. She was one of the first vendors I hired back in 2023.
From the start Hester has been incredible. She provided in depth advice on skin care to help prep my skin for my big day and I will continue using the products as my skin has never looked better.
During my trial Hester listened to my ideas and created something even better than I imagined. She asked questions about on the day - things like what sort of make-up I'd like the bridesmaids to have.
On the day, even though we had a very early start, Hester brought a calm yet upbeat vibe which was exactly what we needed. She ensured everyone felt listened to with their make-up and the bridal party said they had never looked better! My Mum was nervous about having her make-up professionally done but Hester put those concerns to bed and made her feel beautiful.
My make-up was even more stunning than our trial and it lasted all day and night, even after some full on dancing. I am a sweaty gal and the make-up was immovable!

Hester is amazing and super talented!
I booked Hester for my wedding make up, my Mums and all 4 of my bridesmaids. When I first met Hester at my trial she put me at ease straight away and listened to every detail from the venue, dress, style I was going for and how I wanted my make up. She nailed it first time and I didn’t need any changes, I was honestly blown away and loved it!
On the morning of the wedding she put us all at ease straight away. We had great fun getting ready and she was brilliant helping me with final touch ups before we left.
Hester is super talented and amazing at what she does, don’t hesitate booking her she gets booked up very quickly!

Looked like a film-star ✨
I had never had my makeup done professionally before prior to my bridal trial. I booked Hester following our interactions on each other’s social media, and by the time we got round to my trial, Hester felt like an old friend. I walked out of the studio with a confidence I’d never felt in myself before. Hester made extensive notes which she then used to replicate my bridal makeup on the day. She has also given me skincare advice over the past two years, in which I have seen a massive difference.
My bridesmaids were also new to professional makeup. Hester listened to their individual requests for more glam/natural make ups, while still making sure they were complementary. We ended up running ahead of schedule which was brilliant. Hester stayed with us to do final touch ups until I was dressed and ready for the registrars, and was a calming presence all morning.
I looked like a glamorous 50s film-star on my wedding day and received so many compliments about how well it lasted. It has photographed beautifully in both colour and B&W.

Hester was a dream
Booking Hester to do my wedding make up was one of the best decisions I made. She was incredible and all my girls looked beautiful, altering looks slightly to accommodate what people wanted. She is so talented and made me and my bridesmaids feel the best we’ve ever felt. I’m so glad I found Hester for my wedding make up. Her portfolio is outstanding and an accurate representation of her talent as a makeup artist.
I had such fun at the trial, whereby Hester helped me to decide on the best look for me based upon my theme and the type of makeup I usually wear.

Where do I start?
I just want to say a HUGE thank you to Hester for making my bridal makeup dreams come true!
Myself and my bridesmaids loved everything about our makeup.
Hester is so talented at what she does and only uses the best high quality makeup.
I was a nightmare and wasn’t sure what I really wanted makeup wise at first because I suffer with awful eczema and dry skin. Hester worked with me to come up with the look I wanted by changing some things we did in the trial to work with my skin.
My makeup lasted the whole day and I mean the WHOLE day (even the night as I passed out asleep)😂
I loved the little emergency top up pouch she provided, such a cute and clever idea!
Hester arrived and bought her whole makeup studio with her, which we all loved and along and Viv (hairdressing) I had the best morning with my girls getting glammed up!
Both of them felt part of our group🤍
Hester is also a great baby sitter/holder when it comes to needing someone to baby sit when photos are being taken🥹😅
Overall I can’t recommend Hester enough for all your makeup needs!!

Absolutely perfect!
Hester was booked as the MUA for my daughter’s wedding day and as someone who doesn’t normally wear make-up, I was definitely needing some help! I was worried about looking too ‘made up’ but she got the look I wanted completely right. Perfectly natural!
