About

Since 2005, Dawn Taylor has been providing brides with beautiful makeup. In 2011, she added hair styling to her growing skill set, making her a fully qualified beauty therapist. Dawn also has experience working in a theatrical and personal photography environment, but bridal beauty has always been her passion. Specialising in 1920s styled hair and makeup, Dawn can accommodate any request you may have.

Services offered

Dawn can offer a whole range of beauty treatments for your big day, including airbrushing, trial stylings, gel polish, strip lashes, hair padding and hair extensions, in addition to traditional hair and makeup services. Dawn will be sure to coordinate all her services to your personal tastes, dress style and theme.

Areas covered

Dawn, the team of experts can travel to whichever venue is most convenient for you. She is based in Maldon and travels within a twenty-mile radius of her studio. Some of the counties that she commonly travels through include Essex, Herts, Suffolk and Kent.

I felt stunning!

Dawn, you made me feel like a superstar for my wedding day. Everyone was complementing how beautiful I looked and as someone who doesn't always feel it, you made me feel beautiful on the day too. I could not flaw you at all. It's a shame the weather was awful and my waves fell out because of it, but that's purely my own doing as I decided to go out in the rain and make the most of my day. You are incredibly professional and put any of my worries at ease. You also did an incredible job when I didn't trial the final hair and makeup as I switched it up. Thank you for being a part of our day x

Fantastic HMUA! Highly recommend ❤️

It was a pleasure to have Dawn as our HMUA. She made everyone look and feel so beautiful and planned out the schedule really well so that things didn’t feel rushed, and was happy to tweak things. Dawn put everyone at ease and came well prepared. She is such lovely company and would be the perfect HMUA for anyone wanting a timeless, natural, classic look. Highly recommend!

Loved my hair and make-up!

I’m so thankful for Dawn for my wedding hair and make-up, I absolutely loved what Dawn was able to create – I had so many compliments on the day and after.
Dawn took good care to understand what I was looking for whilst also providing great advice on the type of hair style that would suit my dress and make-up that would compliment my skin tone and eyes.
During the trial, Dawn even provided advice on skin and hair care to prepare with the lead up to the big day. Dawn went above and beyond on the day, providing skin care tips to my bridesmaid, assisting my mum with her hair piece, and even helping me to get into my dress.
I’d 100% recommend Dawn for your big day, her expertise and kindness is everything you could hope for.

Fantastic wedding hair

How Dawn managed to turn my hair for my wedding into a thing of beauty is beyond me! Dawn was very creative and transformed my hair, my Mum, my Mother in Law and my Bridesmaids hair into amazing styles that lasted all day. Older bride hair & make/up

Professional, hassle free, expertise outstanding, as a more mature bride & with rosacea I needed an expert & boy did I get one! Felt confident & fantastic thank you dawn your service from our first email to leaving the hotel was amazing. Ps Dawn did my hair make-up & my 2 step daughters hair & my 2 sisters make-up & everyone looked amazing
