The whole day was wonderful...
Hi Jennifer , the whole day was wonderful..everyone commented how excellent the food was ..so please tell the chef. Thank you for everything you and your staff did to make the day so special....we were thrilled to have been upgraded with our own bedroom...and I got a peek at Lizzie and James' room the next morning when I collected the bridal gown...and their room was truly lovely. We were so happy to have this special day there and your efficiency made everything run so smoothly. Thank you. Best Wishes to you all!

Hi Simon and Warrick, Thanks you so much for hosting the most amazing wedding back in August. You and all the staff at South Lodge were fantastic making day was perfect. The wedding hosted outside at South Lodge in your new champaign area was stunning and exactly what we wanted. So romantic. All of our guests commented on how gorgeous the location and hotel was, warm friendly staff and amazing food. From the bride and groom point of view, we felt totally relaxed knowing we were being well looked after by attentive and professional staff. You made our day so special and I wanted to thank you! I would strongly recommend anyone getting married at South Lodge and being looked after by Simon and his team. Looking forward to returning and this time using the private jacuzzi in the room!!! Hi Nicola As parents of the bride (Claire) we would like to thank you and all the staff at South Lodge for the most amazing wedding reception last Friday. So many guests have approached us saying how wonderful the hotel is and what a fabulous wedding reception it had been. The staff in particular were so attentive, efficient and professional; nothing was too much trouble for them. Every little detail and request made was put into place without any fuss which enabled the day to run very smoothly leaving us to feel completely at ease to enjoy the day with our families and friends. There were so many elements to our day i.e. the sweetie table, the polaroid & prop guest book etc, that I couldn't quite believe that it all came together and that's all down to the organisation of your team ... the room itself looked absolutely amazing, it was better than I had even imagined. All our guests have not stopped raving about South Lodge, not just as a venue but for the service aswell. The food was fantastic. Dear Nicola and Simon I would like to say a big thank you to both of you and all the staff involved at South Lodge in making the wedding reception last Saturday, for my daughter and new son in law (Felicity and Guy Wiffen) so successful. The whole reception as far as we were concerned went completely without a hitch, with true professionalism. So many of our guests commented favourably on the location, the hotel itself, the high standard and quality of the food and the way that it was presented at the tables. The weather helped as well as we able to take advantage of the glorious surrounding and terraces. Special thanks should go to Mark, our toastmaster, who kept the proceedings going with such precision. We would have no hesitation in recommending South Lodge to others. Once again a big thank you. Dear Mr Spurgeon My wife Judy and I have been regular visitors to the South Lodge hotel for the last 15 years. Recently we had a Dinner Celebration for our daughter Janee and son-in-law Ralph. They were married in the USA last May and presently live there. My wife and I wish to put on record our thanks and appreciation for all the help and assistance Nicola Webster gave us to make the occasion such a great success. The dinner celebration was beautifully planned and executed by Nicola and the South Lodge team. The food was delectable and the staff were wonderful and indeed superb. Our guests came from the USA, France and Ireland, several of whom stayed the night. They love the hotel and were full of praise for the staff and excellent service. Several of them promise to visit the hotel again especially after we told them of the delicious food one can enjoy in the restaurants . Once again our heartful thanks to Nicola Webster, Dan Wait and your excellent staff for making my daughter Janee and son-in-law Ralph special day so memorable. Hi Nicola, We just wanted to drop you a quick email to thank you for all of your help and support over the past 2 years leading up to our wedding reception at South Lodge. We have a whole folder full of emails we have sent to you over this time and each and everyone you responded promptly and professionally so thank you. The reception was absolutely superb. The food was amazing, the service was flawless and the setting was perfect. Every single one of our guests was blown away by the whole day. Please can you pass on our special thanks to Jenny who on the day was such a calming and helpful person, she and you, and all of the staff really are a credit to South Lodge Hotel. The card and champagne in our room was a lovely touch, however the ducks stole our hearts so much they came on honeymoon with us. Hi Nicola, I just wanted to pop you an email to say on behalf of myself, Dan and our family what a wonderfully magical day we had on Saturday. We had the wedding of our dreams. It was perfect. I would like to thank you guys for all your help in organising the event and a massive thank you to all the staff on Saturday, in particularly, the banqueting manager who was so organised and put us totally at ease. He had everything under control, was so friendly and made it so we didn’t actually worry about a thing!! All our guests were also so impressed with the venue, staff and food. Out of this world!!!
Hi Nicola, Well, what can I say?! ................. Saturday was absolutely out of this world!!! I just don’t know where to begin to praise it all! Every member of staff was just brilliant, the tables were laid out beautifully and the food!!!!! Well, we will all be talking about it for a long time – the guests were amazed at it all and said how beautifully prepared and cooked it all was so if you would please pass our thanks and comments on to the chef and his team we would appreciate it. The serving staff were an act in themselves! They were fascinating to watch, again which everyone commented on, and the meal was served very efficiently with no embarrassing long gaps between tables with the first table finishing before the last one has been served which so often happens at functions like this. Special thanks go to Jenny (I hope I have her name correct!), the Banqueting Manager, who was there the whole time overseeing things – she was lovely and did a fantastic job. Nobody wanted for anything! The Toastmaster, Mark, was very entertaining and I think the guests very much appreciated his stories of South Lodge itself and also how the Toastmaster got its name, as many people afterwards were saying that they had never known before. A huge “Thank You” to everyone again for all the organising, the setting up etc in making Lou & Chris’s day absolutely brilliant and one they will remember! Kind regards, Paul & Di Humphries
