Perfect for couples who want a fun, interactive, and personal way to capture their big day, this service puts the cameras in the hands of your friends and family—so your wedding is filmed by the people who know you best.

Instead of hiring traditional videographers, Friends Film It sends you one or two high-quality Sony HD cameras, allowing your loved ones to capture every laugh, tear, and special moment. Once the celebrations are over, the cameras are collected, and their expert editors will transform your footage into a fun, unique and personal wedding film, complete with your own choice of titles and music. With over a decade of experience, they know how to craft a wedding video that’s both personal and professionally polished.

What services do you offer?

What does the wedding package include?

Our Everything package includes 2 cameras and your footage is edited into a 3 min trailer, 25-30 min highlights video, full ceremony and speeches plus all unedited footage all on a USB stick

How far in advance should I contact you?

Please contact us as soon as you can to avoid disappointment, we do get booked up especially from June - Sept. However, you can also contact us to see if we can accommodate you at the last minute too

Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

Yes

Can you travel?

Yes, we send our cameras all over the UK

What is the charge for travelling?

All courier costs are included in the package prices

What kind of technology do you use?

Digital

Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?

We use state of the art video editing software and all videos are edited in-house by professional video editors

What kind of equipment do you use?

We use Sony HD Handycams as we feel these are best for the amateur videographer to use. They couldn’t be easier to operate and they are robust so they withstand minor bumps after a few too many drinks

Amazing quality and affordable

Sophie was amazing from start to finish. She made an epic wedding video and a shorter one for socials. She listened to what we wanted and delivered. If anyone is looking for an affordable video of their day, I really recommend this. It was the best thing we invested in for the wedding as now we have not only the amazing videos Sophie created, but also all of the unedited footage of the day to look back on forever. We can’t thank Sophie enough!

Amazing personalized video editing

We used Friends Film It because we wanted to keep things cheaper than using a professional videographer and because we were both a shy couple who wanted to focus on time with our friends and family and not feel “invaded”. The cameras were super easy to use and the tripod was great for setting up during the ceremony. The end product of the video with our custom music was just perfect. Sophie was great at every step - organizing the drop off, collection options to liaising over editing. A highly recommended company!

Great idea!

This is such a great idea that gets your guests involved in the fun of capturing the day. The edited footage we got back is a great memory of the day and the personal choice of music is a nice touch. A great alternative to hiring a professional videographer.

Amazing! Exactly what we were looking for

Sophie’s communication has been brilliant the whole time! She made a stressful time easier and is very friendly and efficient. Our video was perfect and exactly the vibe we were after. It was great to see it all come together and the bonus of having the extra full ceremony and speech footage made for an emotional reminder, something we will be sure to cherish.
Sophie clearly has a great eye for the best bits to include and choosing your own music was fun and added an extra personal touch!

From personal experience we asked a family friend to manage and do the filming for us on the day rather than choosing someone from the wedding party. If you can do this I would highly suggest it to make sure the best footage is captured. We kept hold of the prep footage ourselves between boys and girls 😀

Amazing!! You would not regret using this service.

I couldn’t have been more in love with the video from our wedding! It was so much better than the photos and because it was filmed by our friends and family they knew which bits to capture and what would be really meaningful to us. Sophie picked out all the best bits for the short reel! Excellent!!

Most wonderful experience

Perfect for couples on a budget and to find an alternative way to capture their perfect day. We had a wonderful experience with them. Very accommodating as we had to postpone because of covid. We had a hassle free on rearranging our day. I couldn’t thank them enough for their flexibility and understanding throughout. The cameras were easy to use and set up. You have more creativity on how you want to capture your day. You have lots of options to choose from whether you want them to edit for you or edit yourself. Friends film can accommodate for all you budget needs. I would recommend them any day!!!

Good supplier

We were really happy with the end result of our videos and it was wonderful to capture the day at a lot less cost than a videographer. The quality of the film is good and it was put together in a timely fashion after the wedding.
