The White Horse is the perfect wedding venue nestled in the picturesque village of Hertingfordbury in Hertfordshire. We offer bespoke service assuring that every aspect of your wedding day will be taken care of. Our highly attentive and experienced team will attend to every detail so that you can relax and enjoy your special day.
We offer an exclusive venue hire of our venue to smaller more intimate weddings in our function room. With its light, airy and vibrant décor, The White Horse, Hertingfordbury lends itself perfectly to any occasion.

Our Event Manager will work with you to create the perfect menu for your special day, whether that be a champagne reception with canapes, a three course wedding breakfast or an evening buffet.

Best wedding venue🙌🏻
This was the most perfect wedding venue, the food was unreal (our guests can’t stop going on about it) and the service was exceptional. Kate and her team were brilliant from start to finish! Nothing was too much and they kept everything running so smoothly that all we had to do was just enjoy our day. It is such a beautiful venue and we look forward to coming back for food in the future and reminisce about our amazing day! We cannot thank you enough for making our day unforgettable. So if you’re looking for an amazing venue, that’s got amazing food and service then get booking❤️

WOW What a venue!!!
The team at the White Horse are out of this world. They gave us the absolute wedding of our dreams. The professional standard, whilst still allowing our enjoyment to flow, was so incredible. If you are considering this venue, you will not be disappointed. We went for the BBQ food option which was out of this world. HUGE portions for our guests, and absolute divine food in itself. Desserts were gorgeous, as were the fish and chips that came out later in the evening. We booked all the rooms that evening within the hotel too, which are immaculate and spacious. The decor in this place is all so unique and beautiful too, we found ourselves continually spotting something new that we loved. The outside space was fab, and allowed for such a laid back vibe which is exactly what we were looking for. I want to go back and relive our day all over again! Words will never be enough to thank Kate and all the team for the memories we will treasure for our lifetime!

Our wedding day was everything we had dreamed of and more, and we cannot thank Kate, Debbie, and the entire team enough for making it so unforgettable.
From our very first conversations, we knew we were in the best hands. Everyone was incredibly warm, professional, and attentive, making the whole planning process feel effortless and enjoyable. Every question was answered, every detail was carefully considered, and we always felt supported.
The venue itself is beautiful and perfectly located, just a short distance from Hertford Registry Office, making it an incredibly convenient and stress-free choice for couples celebrating their wedding day.
On the day itself, everything was absolutely perfect. The venue looked stunning, the organisation was flawless, and the team worked seamlessly behind the scenes so that we could simply relax and enjoy every moment with our family and friends. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful everything was and how exceptionally well the day was run.
We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The care, dedication, and kindness shown by every member of the team helped create one of the happiest days of our lives, and for that we will always be grateful.

Have your wedding here!
Kate and the team were so friendly and helpful. Having hosted so many weddings and events, they were able to make suggestions that were perfect for our day.
It was a stress free event, there was no question too big or small that Kate couldn’t answer and resolve.
The food and drinks packages were flexible and on the day, everyone loved the bbq buffet and said they had plenty to eat.
There were contingencies in place for both sunshine or rain, which also provided massive peace of mind.

A Perfect Day in the Perfect Venue
Kate and the team at the White Horse were absolutely amazing from start to finish.
From the moment we first spoke to Kate at the Wedding showcase to the actual day, the service we received was beyond what we could have expected.
In between, the communication was great with all decisions run past us, all possible scenarios thought of and planned for. Kate was calm, resourceful and so so helpful! Everything we asked for (no matter how big or little) was accommodated with no fuss or drama.
On the day itself, everything felt incredibly special and exactly how we envisioned – the atmosphere, the attention to detail, the food and drinks and the warmth the team created for our guests was truly memorable. All the staff were fantastic and so accommodating. The venue looked stunning, and we truly felt that everything we asked for was taken on board and the whole day felt so personal and unique to us. The day ran so smooth and we really appreciate all the hard work the team put in - we were truly able to relax and enjoy our day.

The Best Wedding Venue!
We had the best wedding day ever at The White Horse. It was more perfect than I could have ever imagined. The food was amazing, the drinks were great, we had lots of cocktails in the evening because we had some money leftover and they were fabulous, but most of all ALL the staff and Kate at The White Horse were the best! They were so lovely and friendly and you could tell that they wanted to ensure we had the best day ever. All our guests said how delicious the food was and how amazing the staff were. The venue is stunning so we didn’t need to spend too much on decor and everything worked out so perfectly. The venue was stunning on the day, the team set all my table decor and stationery up beautifully and I didn’t have to do a thing! I love that we can go back for dinner and even stay in the future to reminisce, it will always be a special place for me and my husband. Kate was brilliant in the run up with all the preparations, she was really organised and so lovely to have helping us plan our wedding day, she is really experienced and was a reassuring person to help us plan our special day. Thank you so much Kate and all the team at The White Horse!

Incredible, book this venue!!
We had the most incredible experience at The White Horse in Hertingfordbury. From start to finish, Kate, the coordinator, was absolutely amazing – she made us feel so comfortable and genuinely excited for our big day. She listened to everything we wanted and made it all possible with such care and attention to detail.
The food and drinks were outstanding; so many of our guests commented that it was the best they had ever had at a wedding! The staff were beyond friendly and couldn’t do enough for us or our guests. They decorated our tables beautifully, creating such a special atmosphere, and we truly felt so well looked after throughout the entire day.
We also used all seven bedrooms, and they were so comfortable – the perfect place for us and our guests to relax after the celebrations.
The venue itself was stunning – the vibe was relaxed yet elegant, and with the sun shining through the gorgeous skylight in the restaurant, it couldn’t have been more perfect.
We would recommend The White Horse 10000%! It was everything we dreamed of and more, and we are so grateful to Kate and the whole team for making it the most unforgettable day.

A beautiful day that we will remember forever!
We booked our wedding at the White Horse for early June. Kate and the staff were absolutely incredible from Day 1 - we did multiple planning sessions, organising table plans, choosing from the ample menu, and working out a plan for timings, music, etc. At every stage there was so much flexibility and care taken.
The main thing that stood out to us was how much Kate really cared and invested herself in the vision we had for our wedding - it is one of those huge, scary times in ones life and there is nothing more reassuring than having a wedding planner who is 100% behind you every step of the way.
The day went off without a hitch - the food and drink were delicious (and more than plentiful!) and the venue itself is beautiful - such a great combination of old-world pub charm and a fresh, vibrant reception area. We're incredibly grateful of all the hard work from the team at the White Horse and we would recommend them to anyone!

Amazing Venue. Just what we wanted for our special day
Thank you so much to Kate and all the team at the White Horse making our special day so memorable.
As soon as I saw the white horse as a wedding venue on hitched I knew it was where I wanted to hold our wedding reception.
Kate could not of been anymore accommodating and knew exactly what we wanted and gave the best advice on how the day should run.
We decided on canapés on arrival and the hog roast as we didn’t want a formal sit down but rather a more relaxed approach. This worked a treat and the food was delicious and incredible value for money. All of our guests have raved about the venue and how amazing the staff were on the day.
I would highly recommend this venue and wish I could do it all over again.

Everything and more!
From the first visit, we knew that the White Horse would be our wedding venue. Our day couldn't have been more perfect. The hotel rooms, venue, food, staff and service were fantastic. Our friends and family were blown away with the venue and the food was exceptional. The ability to hire the hotel rooms, bar and restaurant meant that we had the whole place to ourselves and the opportunity to have breakfast together the following morning. A special thank you to Kate, for helping us throughout the planning and all the staff for making our day better than we could have imagined.

Perfect place for a wedding!
A massive thank you to Kate and the team at The White Horse, we had our wedding here on the 6th July 2024 and could not have wished for a better day!
From our first visit to the pub in 2023 to book the day, the team were so accommodating to our requests and questions, they always responded so quickly and nothing was ever too much. The planning process was made so simple because of them.
We hired the restaurant, function room and side garden for the whole day, and although we brought our own decorations and flowers, the pub décor is so beautiful, we didn't need to do much to make it special enough for the big day.
All our guests have been commenting on how perfect the pub was to have a wedding, the brilliant service from the staff and the delicious food that was served. Although we did get rain on and off throughout the day the staff did their best to make sure everything went to plan and we could enjoy the sunshine and outside bar when it did come out.

A perfect wedding day
The staff at this family run hotel were amazing. A very friendly welcome was given and it felt like they were all old friends. The service we received was excellent and the food exquisite, hot and everyone was served on time in a delightful setting . We found that planning the day could not have been easier due to the professionalism of the staff. The accommodation was full of character and extremely comfortable. We thoroughly recommend this venue for your wedding day and are confident you will be delighted with your choice as we were. The White Horse made a happy occasion absolutely perfect.

Easy, relaxed but professional
We hired the whole venue for our wedding reception including the hotel rooms. Kate, Taylor and their team were super flexible and relaxed, whilst also remaining professional. They made everything feel easy and stress free, nothing was too much trouble. The food and drink was excellent and they were willing to discuss exactly what you want. Got lots of comments about how lovely it was from the guests. I was just sad we had to turn of the music at 11pm, I could have partied all night!

Absolutely made our day
The White Horse offered us everything we wanted.
We wanted something small and intimate for 55 guests and from our first meeting with Kate we knew this is where we wanted to have our wedding reception.
Our guests are still talking about the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding which really shows how much the White Horse care about your special day.
We lucked out on the weather and managed to have the terrace open for drinks before we sat down to eat which was really special.
Kate helped recommended how best to spend our wedding budget and especially helped select our wine which was also a huge hit.
