The staff at this family run hotel were amazing. A very friendly welcome was given and it felt like they were all old friends. The service we received was excellent and the food exquisite, hot and everyone was served on time in a delightful setting . We found that planning the day could not have been easier due to the professionalism of the staff. The accommodation was full of character and extremely comfortable. We thoroughly recommend this venue for your wedding day and are confident you will be delighted with your choice as we were. Incredible, book this venue!!
We had the most incredible experience at The White Horse in Hertingfordbury. From start to finish, Kate, the coordinator, was absolutely amazing – she made us feel so comfortable and genuinely excited for our big day. She listened to everything we wanted and made it all possible with such care and attention to detail.
The food and drinks were outstanding; so many of our guests commented that it was the best they had ever had at a wedding! The staff were beyond friendly and couldn’t do enough for us or our guests. They decorated our tables beautifully, creating such a special atmosphere, and we truly felt so well looked after throughout the entire day.
We also used all seven bedrooms, and they were so comfortable – the perfect place for us and our guests to relax after the celebrations.
The venue itself was stunning – the vibe was relaxed yet elegant, and with the sun shining through the gorgeous skylight in the restaurant, it couldn’t have been more perfect.
We would recommend The White Horse 10000%! It was everything we dreamed of and more, and we are so grateful to Kate and the whole team for making it the most unforgettable day. -

A beautiful day that we will remember forever!
We booked our wedding at the White Horse for early June. Kate and the staff were absolutely incredible from Day 1 - we did multiple planning sessions, organising table plans, choosing from the ample menu, and working out a plan for timings, music, etc. At every stage there was so much flexibility and care taken.
The main thing that stood out to us was how much Kate really cared and invested herself in the vision we had for our wedding - it is one of those huge, scary times in ones life and there is nothing more reassuring than having a wedding planner who is 100% behind you every step of the way.
The day went off without a hitch - the food and drink were delicious (and more than plentiful!) and the venue itself is beautiful - such a great combination of old-world pub charm and a fresh, vibrant reception area. We're incredibly grateful of all the hard work from the team at the White Horse and we would recommend them to anyone! -

Thank you so much to Kate and all the team at the White Horse making our special day so memorable.
As soon as I saw the white horse as a wedding venue on hitched I knew it was where I wanted to hold our wedding reception.
Kate could not of been anymore accommodating and knew exactly what we wanted and gave the best advice on how the day should run.
We decided on canapés on arrival and the hog roast as we didn’t want a formal sit down but rather a more relaxed approach. This worked a treat and the food was delicious and incredible value for money. All of our guests have raved about the venue and how amazing the staff were on the day.
I would highly recommend this venue and wish I could do it all over again.White Horse Hotel's reply:

From the first visit, we knew that the White Horse would be our wedding venue. Our day couldn't have been more perfect. The hotel rooms, venue, food, staff and service were fantastic. Our friends and family were blown away with the venue and the food was exceptional. The ability to hire the hotel rooms, bar and restaurant meant that we had the whole place to ourselves and the opportunity to have breakfast together the following morning. A special thank you to Kate, for helping us throughout the planning and all the staff for making our day better than we could have imagined.White Horse Hotel's reply:

Perfect place for a wedding!
A massive thank you to Kate and the team at The White Horse, we had our wedding here on the 6th July 2024 and could not have wished for a better day!
From our first visit to the pub in 2023 to book the day, the team were so accommodating to our requests and questions, they always responded so quickly and nothing was ever too much. The planning process was made so simple because of them.
We hired the restaurant, function room and side garden for the whole day, and although we brought our own decorations and flowers, the pub décor is so beautiful, we didn't need to do much to make it special enough for the big day.
All our guests have been commenting on how perfect the pub was to have a wedding, the brilliant service from the staff and the delicious food that was served. Although we did get rain on and off throughout the day the staff did their best to make sure everything went to plan and we could enjoy the sunshine and outside bar when it did come out.
Our wedding day was everything we dreamed it would be and The White Horse were the ones to make that happen! Thank you so much! We highly recommend them to celebrate a wedding :)White Horse Hotel's reply:

Easy, relaxed but professional
We hired the whole venue for our wedding reception including the hotel rooms. Kate, Taylor and their team were super flexible and relaxed, whilst also remaining professional. They made everything feel easy and stress free, nothing was too much trouble. The food and drink was excellent and they were willing to discuss exactly what you want. Got lots of comments about how lovely it was from the guests. I was just sad we had to turn of the music at 11pm, I could have partied all night! -

Absolutely made our day
The White Horse offered us everything we wanted.
We wanted something small and intimate for 55 guests and from our first meeting with Kate we knew this is where we wanted to have our wedding reception.
Our guests are still talking about the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding which really shows how much the White Horse care about your special day.
We lucked out on the weather and managed to have the terrace open for drinks before we sat down to eat which was really special.
Kate helped recommended how best to spend our wedding budget and especially helped select our wine which was also a huge hit.
She was always on hand and helped assist in anything we needed help on.

The White Horse could not have done more to make our day special. It's a beautiful venue in a lovely Hertfordshire village, and they really went above and beyond to make sure the decoration was all we wanted. The food was incredible and all the guests told us after what a wonderful wedding it was. We couldn't have asked for more, as Kate and the team were so great in everything they did for us. -
