We checked a few venues in a very limited window back in Dec '24 and WGC were able to accommodate us, show us round and they offered the best value. We got married 2/8/25.

Communication was consistently good: they were flexible, answered our questions and helped us make the most of our day the way we intended, a smallish, intimate party, no DJ but a ceilidh, barn tables, our own music and a nice atmosphere that allowed people to mingle.

About the food, we, the bride and groom, agree with the guests that it was truly delicious and well abundant. The evening buffet was excellent.

A Dream Wedding at Westerham Golf Club

We had the most incredible day, and from start to finish, the team at Westerham were nothing short of amazing. Early in our planning journey, we received some difficult family news that meant we had to rearrange our original dates. The team handled this with such compassion and understanding—it truly made a stressful time feel manageable. Their kindness and flexibility meant the world to us.

The venue itself was perfect. We loved having access to both rooms, with the bar, dinner tables, and dance floor all in one space. It created such a seamless flow and allowed all our guests to stay connected throughout the celebration. We've been to weddings where guests miss out on key moments because the venue is too spread out—Westerham avoided that entirely, and it made a huge difference.

We were blessed with stunning weather, and the balcony was a highlight. It gave the whole day a Mediterranean feel, which worked beautifully with our Italian theme. The views were breathtaking and added a magical touch to the atmosphere.

The food was phenomenal—we received so many compliments from our guests, including the vegans who were thrilled with the options available. The staff were fantastic throughout, and the wedding team were communicative, supportive, and always available during the planning process. A special shout-out to Ruby, who was absolutely brilliant on the day. She kept everything running smoothly and even made the golf buggy photo session a fun and memorable experience!

The team at Westerham were honestly amazing and we couldn't have been happier with how the day went.

The team really know what they were doing, so as well as everything going smoothly on the day, they were able to be a massive help to us throughout the planning process. They were a huge help on the day, we had DIY'd some very simple centrepieces which they very kindly put out for us to save friends/family having to come early to do it, as well as things like our photo book, signage and cake etc.

There are some lovely spots to get your photos taken, and they'll take you round on a golf buggy to get to the best spots!

The food was lovely, and the team even saved us a little plate of canapes as we had stepped out for some photos when they were served.

We visited many venues before deciding on Westerham. What stood out right away was how lovely and welcoming the staff were on that initial visit, they really made us feel like no question was too silly to ask. And of course the setting - we initially wanted an outdoors wedding but knew that there'd be the risk of bad weather, so it was important any outdoor venue would have a great indoor backup. With Westerham, you can't have an outdoor wedding, but the indoor setting, with wide open windows revealing the beautiful landscaped golf course in all directions, meant it was like an outdoor wedding anyway. And it was just as well because on the actual wedding day, there were quite high winds! The team there were so helpful and patient throughout the whole year of planning, and on the day itself. They really put our minds at ease and were really flexible with some of our requests. The reception rooms are great - the smaller one for the ceremony was just the perfect size for our 100 guests, and the larger room for the wedding breakfast and evening celebration was spacious with room to eat, to dance, and to sit to catch your breath. The golf course is a wonderful setting to go out and get your formal photos and some video shot. It's fun to take some of the golf carts up into the wooded area and a chance to have some private moments with your new spouse. It's such a beautiful setting, we would recommend if you can afford it to include some drone footage, for your wedding video because it allows such a great view of the course, the buildings and water features. The food was excellent, in particular the lamb shank, and such huge portions that we struggled to eat a lot later in the evening at the buffet supper. Well worth paying the small extra supplement to allow 2 menu choices plus a veggie/vegan option. They also managed a few tricky dietary requirements really well including Halal and some fairly unique food allergies. Our formal proceedings were capped off by a fireworks display out on the golf course which made for some amazing pictures and video and if you can afford it, we would recommend it. Many guests said it was their favourite part of the evening and a real surprise. We couldn't be happier with our decision to be married here and it's hard now to imagine us getting married at any of the other venues we looked at. You will have a wonderful day no matter what time of year or whatever your theme.

The day from start to finish is all we ever dreamed off! And I couldn’t recommend this venue enough and the team!

When we began our wedding venue search, our main criteria were:

- good proximity to airport for international guests
- ceremony and reception at the same place, without the need to exit / reset
- no preferred supplier limitations
- kitchen on site (no need to hire externally)
- natural materials, like wood and brick, barn aesthetic
- indoor space we'd be happy not to leave in bad weather
- can have live music with no formal noise limiter
- experienced & supportive team
- budget

Westerham Golf Club delivered all of this and so much more. As soon as we visited the venue for the first time and spoke to the team we were confident we found our venue.

We were assigned a contact person straight away who answered all of our questions by email and phone conversations and was always unbelievably helpful and quick to respond.

In the lead up to the day we met our wedding day coordinators who we were reassured were very on the ball. We had a lot of personal details and touches throughout the day and never felt that we had to remind any of the team about them, they all understood the vision and knew all the intricate details of the day. They delivered them all without fault.

The venue on the day looked absolutely stunning. The exposed brick and beams in the Valence Suite make this feel like a cozy but expansive barn conversion, but with the benefit of the adjoining rooms, wrap around balcony and excellent facilities of the golf club. The views are spectacular and the tree-lined drive up to the venue really sets a great tone.

Throughout the day everything ran like clockwork, guests commented that the food was incredible and all of our suppliers worked with ease with the staff and facilities.

The team set up all our personal and homemade things for us and packed them all away again for easy collection the next morning - we are so so grateful for this!

The flow of the space is fantastic, we had our ceremony in the Eleanor Suite, then did confetti outside before re-entering the main space where the drinks reception were laid out and musicians performing. The bar area, sofas, dance floor and balcony were perfect for the canapes and drinks reception. We had photos on the grounds as well as in the lovely rose garden at the front of the venue. The dinner set up was there from the morning and had a real wow factor when guests first saw it. While Eleanor Suite was empty the chairs were quickly cleared and this became a breakout space where we laid out board games and guests could relax if they didn't want to be dancing with the band.

We got married in November and had a lot of evening guests, so having a space with plenty of room, without anyone needing to go outside (in case of cold/rain) was key and the venue was perfect in this regard. In the end we had a lovely clear day and guests really enjoyed being on the balcony.

I hope this review is helpful in helping other couples choose their venue. For us it was a dream come true and we cannot thank the team enough for delivering a perfect day!

The lead up the wedding was great, Ella helped us with any little questions and made sure everything was sorted!

The day before we met the on the day manager Brad who talked us through the whole day and made sure we were happy with everything. Also when we walked in one of our suppliers hadn’t done what they were meant to - and the venue got on the phone to them right away to come back and sort it meaning the stress was off me!

The day came and it was a blur, but everything went smoothly, my guests couldn’t stop complimenting the venue and how gorgeous it was. Every detail was perfect and the food was amazing! The wine choices were a big hit and I couldn’t be more complimentary of the staff.

The only hiccup we had was when asking for a cup of tea for my Nan during the welcome drinks, and my brother was told they can’t do that by the bar, but my groom went up and it was sorted quickly.

Westerham is a beautiful venue. The backdrop of the luscious green golf course and the building itself is amazing. The rose garden is the perfect place for a drinks reception - even the drive into the venue is cool!

Now to come onto the staff. Every single one of them couldn’t do enough for us. The communication at every step was faultless, and they are extremely helpful regardless of who you deal with! They are professional and can accommodate a whole variety of things, for example we asked for halal meat and they sourced it without any issue, no extra costs or anything. Their recommended suppliers are great, and they really make you feel at ease throughout the whole process and on the day.

The food is also VERY good. All of our guests were complimentary of that, as well as the decoration and table layout which is rustic and picturesque.

Having the licensed ceremony room in the same venue was perfect, as your guests can simply walk through the door into the wedding breakfast and evening reception room! The bar is well stocked, the wine selection was well received by our guests too.

We really can’t recommend Westerham enough. A few of my friends who were there are now considering it for their wedding venue, it’s that good and I found beat all others on price too!
