We got married at Thirsk Lodge Barns on the 28th of March and it's hard to explain how much we loved this venue. The second we walked in on our first viewing, we both just knew this was the one. My husband actually said "can we just book it now?" before we'd even finished the viewing because it was just perfect.
The staff are so caring and considerate, we received a branded candle when we paid our first deposit which was such a lovely touch and also received a wedding card from them on the day which was so sweet!
I arrived at 12pm the day before to get the venue set up and Sophie and Charlie were so helpful all day! Sophie was an amazing co-ordinator, from the rehearsal the night before to the whole day - I honestly can't thank her enough for everything she did for us! We did have a couple of hiccups, the boys stayed at 35 Kirkgate and there were some issues with the toilet which Charlie fixed and we also had a surprise brass band who were supposed to enter at the end of the best man's speech but there was some missed communication between the venue and the band about where they needed to be and at what time which resulted in them waiting in the car park for over an hour but honestly, this didn't have a negative impact on our day whatsoever, Sophie co-ordinated them to be there for the cake cutting instead and this actually worked out perfectly as I got to dance with my Grandma which is one of my favourite parts of the day! I've said thank you to Sophie for everything about 500 times now, she's probably sick of me! But honestly, you're an absolute gem!
The venue is so beautiful, we've had so many compliments from our guests and the on-site accommodation is also so comfortable and homely, you feel right at home the second you step through the door!
Thank you so so much to the amazing team at Thirsk Lodge Barns, you've just been incredible throughout.

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our wedding day at Thirsk Lodge Barns.
From the moment we booked, the whole team were absolutely fantastic. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and accommodating, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. They made the whole process leading up to the wedding so much easier and gave us complete confidence that everything was going to be taken care of.
The venue itself is absolutely stunning and made the perfect backdrop for our wedding. Everything was so well organised on the day, and the team worked incredibly hard behind the scenes to make sure everything ran smoothly.
A very special thank you to Anya, who was absolutely incredible on the day. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was running perfectly and that we were able to relax and enjoy every moment. Having someone so attentive, calm and helpful there on the day made such a difference, and we genuinely couldn’t thank her enough.
We had the most amazing day and created memories that we’ll treasure forever. A huge thank you to everyone at Thirsk Lodge Barns for helping make our wedding everything we could have hoped for.
We would 100% recommend Thirsk Lodge Barns to anyone looking for the perfect wedding venue. We genuinely couldn’t have chosen anywhere better. -

I honestly cannot recommend Thirsk Lodge Barns enough to anybody looking for a wedding venue! From initial first contact right through to after the wedding day, the team were absolutely incredible. Quick responses, easy to use portal, simple, stress-free communication — all things you need when planning a wedding!
On the set up and the day itself, they were really organised, attentive and made sure everything ran smoothly. I think I spoke to each member of the team at some point and they were all so friendly and helpful.
The venue itself, all the accommodation available to book and the grounds are absolutely beautiful. It really is the perfect setting for a wedding, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate our special day.
A huge thank you to the whole team for making the entire process so easy and enjoyable, and for helping make our wedding day so perfect. We will genuinely never forget it! ❤️ -

Where do we start! This venue is the venue of dreams! From start to finish the professionalism of this team cannot be beaten. I could cry just thinking about it. The most perfect day we could have wished for. It ran seamlessly thanks to the dedication and the hard work of the whole team. Special shoutout to Anya, Sophie and Cheree who were amazing from start to finish! We felt so at home at TLB, can we do it all over again please 🙏🏼🫶🏼🤣
The setting is perfect and just so beautiful. The guest commented several times on just how outstanding every thing was! On site accommodation is perfect and plentiful for any size wedding and kept to a very high standard. The whole team should be super proud of themselves! Executed to perfection 🥹 we will be forever hatful to TLB for making our day so unbelievably perfect. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ♥️

Wow. What a venue!
Everybody commented on how beautiful Thirsk Lodge Barns is, and we couldnt agree more. From the day we first visited, we didnt even need to think about it, we knew this was the perfect venue.
The staff are so friendly, helpful and so intentive. They will do anything for you and make sure everything is perfect. There communication with you throughout your planning and even after is 100%.
We went for the twilight package which is so worth the money they charge. With this package you are meant to go at 2pm, however with us wanting it a little earlier, they were happy to accommodate this for us. Which made everything just fall into place and make our day flow.
Our wedding co-ordinator was Nadiyah who was absolutely amazing from start to finish. She made sure everything ran so smoothly, kept everything on track, and handled every little detail without us having to worry about a thing. Because of her hard work, organisation and calm approach, we were able to relax and truly enjoy every moment of our special day. We can't thank her enough for helping make our wedding everything we dreamed of.
To end the night we went back to our Bridal cottage, where all our cards and gifts were laid out and even a lovely card from TLB. This was such a lovely touch to end a perfect day.

We knew as soon as we walked into Thirsk Lodge Barns than it would be our venue.
The beautiful mix of rustic and modern, the amount of natural light, the court yards, and the flow the day would have through the different areas.
The staff were beyond amazing! Always welcoming and helpful and responsive to emails.
Sophie our coordinator was outstanding. She couldn’t have done more for us on the wedding weekend! All my bridal party and family commented on how amazing she was, and my niece certainly took a shine to her after being given sneaky ice lollies in the heat wave!
You are able to access the venue from 12-5 the day before for set up which was amazing. And can clear out the next morning until 11am.
The accommodation with the venue is superb! So comfortable and has everything you need. Super spacious so it doesn’t feel chaotic whilst getting ready.
Every time we came back to the venue during our planning we loved it more and more, and there isn’t a thing we would change about it!

Perfection!
Letty and the team at Thirsk Lodge Barns are nothing short of amazing! From initially viewing the venue right through the planning process, the team consistently went above and beyond to ensure our day was exactly as we imagined it. All our questions were answered so quickly and nothing was ever too much to ask.
Special shout out to Sophie our coordinated for the weekend - she was amazing!
We decided to have welcome drinks the night before the wedding and could not recommend this option enough! This venue is absolutely stunning to was wanted to spend as much time there as possible. The onsite accommodation is gorgeous and with a little bit of April sunshine, we had full use of the glorious courtyard - it felt like a destination wedding.
With every angle of the venue being aesthetically breathtaking, we could not be happier with our photos.

You Know When Its The Right Venue - This Was The Right Venue
We knew Thirsk Lodge Barns was the venue for us when we came to view it. It's a gorgeous modern barn conversion that has a wonderful indoor/outdoor feel, lots of natural light, and the most amazing team running it.
Throughout the wedding planning, they were so accommodating to all of our questions and alleviated any stress as quickly as they could. It was so appreciated especially the nearer we got to the big day!
The farmhouse, laundry cottage and woodhill grange accommodation sites our wedding party stayed in were beautiful. Everyone commented on how big the space was!
A huge thank you to Sophie, our coordinator, for being so patient and proactive with helping us set up for the day and ensure a very smooth operation. -
