Wow what can I say! From the moment we first visited The Old Barn at Esholt and met Diane we knew it was going to be the perfect venue for our special day. And it certainly was! Diane was so friendly, professional, informative and communicative from start to finish. She could answer all our questions, lay all our concerns and queries to rest and went above and beyond to make sure we had our dream wedding … and we did. The Old Barn itself is absolutely stunning, even before adding our own touches on the day it is already beautifully done out inside. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and woods we were spoilt for choice for backdrops for our wedding day photos. The food on the day was absolutely amazing with so many of our guests commenting on how much they had enjoyed it. Diane, Harriet and her team worked tirelessly on the day to make sure our day was absolutely perfect and it was. All the staff were so friendly and polite and catered to our every whim. The resident DJ had clearly listened to our playlist and kept the floor fillers coming. I could not recommend this venue highly enough, a little hidden gem in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside, utterly beautiful and a perfect day.The Old Barn at Esholt's reply:

We cannot recommend the Old Barn enough. The team were amazing - super responsive and went over and above to help us and accommodate everything we wanted and needed. The food was incredible, and the venue itself is gorgeous. The fairy lights on the beams look absolutely magical in the evening. The venue is decorated beautifully as standard, so we feel like we saved sooo much money not having to buy extra decs to jazz it up too.
We had 50 guests in the day and about 75 in the evening and it was the perfect size for us. We had enough space for everyone on the dance floor, and didn’t feel too big or too small as everyone was spread out mingling. We got lucky with the weather, but if it rains and people don’t want to go outside, there’s plenty of space indoors for people to mingle without feeling crowded. There’s some gorgeous photo spots too!!
We really and truly cannot express how much we loved our day, and it wouldn’t have been the same without the attention and care of the team at the Old Barn.
We’ll be back for all of our big anniversary parties!!! -

The Old Barn & Staff are absolutely a 10/10 experience. The venue itself is beautiful and in a great location should you wish to take photos outside the venue you need not venture far to get photos with more scenery. The staff are amazing, from helping us with ideas with decorations, food & drink ideas, all the way to taking care of the bride and groom to late hours.
It never felt like a chore to head down to the Old Barn to give updates for the wedding before the big day. It was always pleasant!

To Di and the team at The Old Barn, We had an absolutely wonderful wedding day on 5th September 2025.
You all were magnificent, and the whole day went seamlessly from start to finish. Every detail was perfect. Thank you all so much !!
You all looked after us, and our families and friends so well, and everyone was saying what a wonderful venue it was, and what a wonderful team of people you are. Right from our arrival early afternoon and through the ceremony, and then into the evening party through to the end of the night. And Jake was an added superstar!!!
The food during the day, after our service was fantastic and in the evening too!

From our first visit we knew that The Old Barn Esholt was the venue for us! Diane was very professional, informative and approachable. This is such a beautiful venue with an amazing selection of meal/food choices. The packages here are very flexible and great value. Diane and Harriet were very helpful, knowledgeable and responsive in the build up to the day. You hear wedding couples say that planning a wedding is so stressful, but Diane and her team made it effortless.
On the day, everything went smoothly and all of the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The venue was decorated beautifully and the food was amazing! We had our ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening reception at this venue and recommend it on all accounts. Both us and all of our guests had such a wonderful and memorable day, all thanks to the hard work of Diane and her team!The Old Barn at Esholt's reply:

Can not recommend this venue enough. They went above and beyond to make our wedding perfect.
Our guests all said it was the best wedding they had been to and it is all thanks to the amazing staff and venue at the old barn.
The food was amazing and all our guests enjoyed it. Great food choice with multiple selection of options to cater for your day.
From the first visit to the venue I fell in love with the venue and the layout. Plus the run through of the day and the staff telling us what we needed to do we couldn't have been more grateful.

Mobbs wedding!
Me and my wife got married at the old barn on 22/08/2025. From our first meeting with Harriet everything was so easy. The whole process was stress free. Setting clear plans and deadlines so everyone knew what was required from them. Any questions we had were answered promptly by her or Diane. Both clearly so knowledgable and invested in giving us the best day possible. They gave us lots of options for our own customisation from bunting to table decorations and everything in between. Making the space totally ours for the day. We would 100% recommend for DIY weddings. We fell in love with the barn after our first visit and knew this was were we wanted to get married! On the day, from start to finish the day went so smoothly. Harriet, Diane and the team worked so hard behind the scenes to ensure a stress free day. The split between the upstairs and downstairs helped break up the day. We couldn’t be more thankful for all the hard work leading up to and on the day. Our DIY decor was handed over the day before and set up for us exactly in our vision. And again took it all down so it could be reused. Any requests we had they accommodated without any issues. we couldn’t have had a better day. The food was amazing. Good portion sizes where everyone felt full. Even our nieces were Harriet went to the trouble of going to 3 different asdas to find the highly requested pepper pig jelly. Alex the DJ who was recommended to us by Harriet and Diane kept the party going all night. Hand picked the playlist to match our vibe and kept everyone on the dance floor all night. As well as playing a very special song as requested which finished the night perfectly. We couldn’t fault any service provided by all staff at the barn. Which added to the obvious joy of the day. We are so happy we found the old barn and would would happily return for any future celebrations.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Incredible Wedding at The Old Barn at Esholt!
We had our wedding at The Old Barn at Esholt, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The venue itself is beautiful — full of rustic charm with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made the whole day feel so special. The exposed beams, cosy lighting, and stunning outdoor areas made for the most gorgeous photos and an unforgettable setting.
The staff were outstanding throughout the entire process. From the initial planning meetings to the big day itself, they were organised, professional, and genuinely cared about making everything run smoothly. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their attention to detail made us feel completely at ease.
Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how lovely the venue was and how delicious the food and drinks were. Everything came together perfectly, and we honestly wouldn’t change a single thing.
If you’re looking for a venue that combines character, charm, and exceptional service, we couldn’t recommend The Old Barn at Esholt highly enough. It truly made our day everything we’d hoped for and more!
